I have a cargo SSTO that I launched from kerbin, refueled, and put into Minimus orbit last night. Today I load the save, landed it on Minimus, and realized that all of the landing gear on the craft, and it's cargo, had been indiscriminately (seemingly so) twisted off of its axis. Like, 15 degrees for each piece, all different axis, and It wasn't like that when it took off. I can upload more data if anyone else has experienced this. Edit: Just launched a second vessel to remedy the first. Same craft. Landed within 2km, switched vessels, alignment returned on first vessel. Still wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

I hear there is still a bug report for EVA after transmitting data? Or crafts bouncing on load? I have some recordings of these events. Mostly frustrating. Sometimes comical.

I'm one of those. I don't agree with you. Work is work, and these folks earned it. Yes, it was frustrating to have a game that had tragic bugs, but I got Enhanced at no charge. Didn't you get the same? And while Enhanced is not perfect, I'm having a fine time with my playstyle. I have a save ritual that allows manual revert, all day. If paying $10 keeps them interested in keeping consoles in the game, I'll have a ramen for lunch instead of a burger and fries and call it a day.

The fuel highway rough idea (edit: more like hub)
Socraticat replied to M_Rat13's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't think it is that strange of an idea. -
I get that that's how adding a spoiler tag works. I still don't understand how it's a spoiler. Knowing that it exists changes nothing. Actually using it does.
-
Explain to me why this needs a spoiler tag. Please.
-
So you're saying it should go in the BugTracker?
-
It may have been intended as a feature. It plays like a bug. There is no option to change the button mapping, so you are stuck with a clunky interface. You say "feature", I say "Bug". I didn't have this problem in the previous version.
-
I had similar trim issues until reading the forums. Left Bumper+ Left stick to reset, yes? Now, I get that we don't want to flood the board with bogus bug reports, but maybe... If everyone is having the same problems with the control scheme, it might be a bug. (Two commands mapped for simultaneous but not at all alike funtions? That's a bug). So my point is, this is a bug. I know you don't want to see multiple reports, bit we didn't want multiple bugs. Before anyarguments about semantics, find a more satisfying definition of bug than this, then we can have discussion: A software bug is an error, flaw, failure or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways. (OP is encountering an error/flaw that produces unintended results)

Why don't you post this to the bugtracker?
-
So, after all of the "Make sure to post to the bugtracker" talk these mods do, I thought, "Maybe I can find some progress in the bugtracker". Nope. Not even an updated status for the XBox1 enhanced release. The bugtracker still has it noted that there are no confirmed bugs! Really? I want to stay away, but I just can't help ranting about how awful the support on this forum (from anyone other than other frustrated members) and with squad in general has been. So would a "mod" or someone "in the know" explain why nothing is updated on this site that we've been directed to as our best source of "current progress"? Is this confirmation that Squad has submitted a game to the XBox Live market without making a good faith effort to fix a breach of contract? Or are Squad and the "Forum Support Goons" really just expecting console gamers to transfer data from their consoles, convert digital medias, and upload it to a non-updating bugtracker so that a fix can be released sometime in Neveruary? And they won't be compensated for their time either? Is this the behavior we should be proud of from developers? Do you really support this, forum mods?

Do you even play on career? How far have you gotten without a gamebreaker?

Seriouly, have you debug the Enhanced Edition ?
Socraticat replied to Chic_Planet's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Guess what? Vague answers and BS PR. Same Squad, Same screwed up port, different day to lose an hour of play. -
Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition Grand Discussion thread
Socraticat replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Discussion
If I've already made game breaking bug reports there's 2 things that follow. 1. I'm not going to continue playing a game that I can't save. As such, I won't be reporting more bugs. That's not my job. That's not why I play games. Is this difficult to understand? 2. I don't need to give you any evidence if it's in the tracker. Then I'd be doing the work twice. See point 1.- 310 replies

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition Grand Discussion thread

Go take a look at the support forum for consoles and tell me there aren't answers to your questions. Do your research before you debate, [snip]- 310 replies

Agreed. This person either doesn't play console, play seriously, or hasn't seen the overwhelming frustration of console players in this forum. I haven't played KSP on console yet (KSP or KSPEE) without encountering a GAMEBREAKING bug (not to mention the annoying bugs that have workarounds).

Isn't bug tracking why we paid you?
Socraticat replied to Socraticat's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Don't look at the bugtracker if your holding out for any kind of recent, or planned (nothing is planned in the tracker) fixes any time soon. -
After a warp, mission completion, or landing, no UI available. Vessel still flyable; cannot "switch to", return to SC, TS, or Main menu. Cannot save. Xbox1s If anyone is looking for this issue in the bug tracker, I think I've found it (hopefully someone is working on it) Currently I'm trying to upload a clip (hopefully I don't run out of time before work) from my career save. https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/17040 Here's a link to the capture. 10 minutes of "good to go" before no UI available. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AmOeLxKX2kDzgVV_D84EB8XGg53F

Are we finally Happy? i'd like to know.
Socraticat replied to AndyChilly's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
1. A bit. Some changes are nice, others are frustrating. All are buggy (not game crashing, yet) 2. Yes, Maybe, I don't know. It's the same for me. Is that really a problem? 3. Cheat menu. Maybe, did you read that somewhere? 4. Rigid assembly and auto-strut. Two different functions. Tight joints vs invisible strings. The real gamebreaker is here https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/17040 Usually happens later/ mid career.- 42 replies

So... nobody playing a console version has time to make an hour long appointment to do your debugging effort. Do you not have competent people playing this game for you to find bugs? I know that sounds rude, but please understand that I've already erased multiple paragraphs explaining my frustration with this game and lack of progress in fixing the "game-breaking" bugs. I don't have time to debug this game in the bug tracker. That's why I (and thousands of others) paid a developer to do it. Because I'm not a game developer! I'm a player who wants to spend his time playing, not working for free! (this rant includes paraphrased words expressed by another forum member)

Mid-mission Save Bug (Xbox)
Socraticat replied to Josef DeLaurel's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
I'm going to retract this statement. I can't pinpoint it to contract completion. I've just encountered the same problem with a manned mission (not even a contract) to minimus. -
bugs Updates to the Bug Tracker
Socraticat replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
I feel like I've sustained damages from time wasted. Had I known I was playing a game that was un-saveable I wouldn't have spent so much time in early career where every save works. Hours of my life. Days of my life. All that time of believing the game was better. So much time... It's really difficult not to be rude when you are this frustrated by a purchase of faulty product. All I really want right now is for anybody who made money off of selling this faulty product to suffer an economic catastrophe. I hope you all step in gum before you walk into your homes. -
Yes. You need the right command pod or an experienced pilot.

Save bug FIX after capturing asteroid
Socraticat replied to Eterna1Soldier's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
I just posted a response to a similar glitch. It was a satellite contract. This glitch is so bad it nullifies almost any good that came from the "Enhanced" re-release.
