  1. Uh... You realize Proxima Centauri A is a literal star? Crashing into the object at several billions of times the speed of light is the least of your concerns?
  2. [snip] There's a massive line between the shape and colour of a plume and the inner workings of its engine, and how bright things look on-screen. Keeping the skybox and ship in-view at all times keeps the player from getting disoriented. Making an engine realistic doesn't make gameplay any more difficult. Making the lighting realistic does. KSP 2 is only being marginally unrealistic by allowing you to see the galaxy and ships at all times without being over or under exposed.
  3. Why are you complaining about the fact that the engine plumes have been made as realistic as possible? This is how they should look in reality based on our current understandings. If you have any complaints on how engine plumes in real life look, you should probably file your complaints to the god of aerospace and mathematics instead of Intercept.
  4. Encouraging people to hype instead of just being patient was a big, big mistake.
  5. I especially don't want KSP 2 to be retreading old ground rather than creating something original. KSP 2 should avoid blatantly reusing old assets that don't need to be reused. The royalty free music was only fresh the first million times I listened to it in space. Now I can't bring myself to listen to the tracks in KSP 1.
  6. You will have to do a retrograde slingshot around Jupiter in order to collide with the Sun without cancelling all of Earth's 30km/s of velocity, and you need to either build a rocket of frankly ridiculous proportions or build a lot of rockets in order for this to be feasible. You've played KSP before, you might know how hard it is to launch hundreds of very heavy things into Kerbol without spending all your space program's money.. If it's not very dense, maybe.
  7. SE: You get your wishes when the last black hole evaporates. SP: I can move forward in time at 1 second per second.
  8. It doesn't need to be realistic. What's the difference?
  9. I'm not a particular fan of this one. Sounds too 80s.
  10. I'm not sure anyone likes the way you speak of the KSP 2 dev team. A lot of your posts have been complaints over how much information they're letting out. They are letting out enough information.
  11. You are asking for an MMO because it'd fulfil your (imo unrealistic) fantasy of playing side-by-side with Stratzenblitz and other youtubers you look up to, at least that's what I've gathered from some of your messages. Truth is that an MMO would feel more like a single player game with asterisks attached - everyone online is just a stranger. I'd rather play with 2 or 3 close friends than a bunch of strangers.
  12. KSP doesn't need a solar system market, and with multi-year communication times a galactic market would be unreasonable.
  13. Maybe at a very high tech level. I've heard of this being done in research, but is there any real world functioning communication links beyond experimental doing comms based on entanglement? I could never see how the bandwidth could be very high. The idea reminds me of Ursula K. Leguin's Ansible device https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ansible https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-communication_theorem FTL comms are just not possible.
  14. KSP being an MMO won't make you friends with them no more than walking past a stranger in a crowded city.
  15. The best DLC is Restock Plus; It's worth the price tag of £0.00 and these freelancers didn't leave big gaping gaps in the parts selection as KSP's paid professional devs did, while also making the art style a million times more consistent than Squad's attempt at redoing 50% of the parts
  16. I gotta wait that long??!??! oh boy there's a generational knowledge gap if I ever saw one. People nowadays seem to have also forgotten the art of patience
  17. Probably not. The only thing more difficult than building an interstellar vessel is freezing and thawing a body evenly and quick enough to not cause damage.
