  1. And then you proceed to assert in a very sure manner that A. you can't fix a game that's only three years old and B. that the game's foundations are shaky when they really aren't. KSP 2's failings are inevitably going to be ironed out. Why you think, for example, that corrupt saves cannot be fixed whatsoever and must 100% be a deep-rooted problem is beyond me.
  2. I'm not sure why the SAS has to go from Up to Locked when speed approaches 0. More often than not this destroys whatever balance you had going on while landing.
  3. Hands up if you watched this guy back in the early days
  4. Strange, how did I fly to Pluto in 2016? I don't remember any problems with the game at all. On the scale of the stock system, Pluto is almost another galaxy. Yes, you don't want to admit interstellar scales in KSP 1 are broken so instead you only go a fraction of the distance so as to not encounter any distance-related bugs.
  5. Why? I have the latest version of KSP1 in my games folder, why do I have to do such a deep downgrade to appreciate KSP2? It's not even a release title. Are you familiar with this gaming meme? There is such a game, Anthem, there was a road map. But where is it now? Irrelevant
  6. I like the fact my ships look like, well, ships, as opposed to scrap found laying on the side of the road, the fact the clouds look as cartoonish as the Kerbals, the engine plumes, and so on. I can hardly find a time in my playthroughs where I'm not religiously screenshotting whatever I'm flying and its surroundings. And whatever funny orbital shapes I can make with the maneuver node and an ion at 1% thrust limiter. But to each their own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. Do I only have a choice between very early versions of KSP1 and KSP2? It only makes sense. Eh?
  8. Everything worked fine for me, you must be using early versions of KSP2. By the way, how is the problem of interstellar flights solved in KSP2? Is it definitely resolved? Someone checked, flew very far? Or is this another advance for developers? They have discussed it before and their solution clearly isn't KSP 1's "Kerbol is too far from the player, GO TO RED ALERT!!!"
  9. Everything big in the game seems to be a roadmap with no dates. As I understand it, the game will become an adult in 18 years, when most likely no games will be interesting to me due to age. And today it is very bad, I am not going to give any advances to developers. I'm probably the only one having trouble parsing this message, but do you mind rephrasing?
  10. Because this... ...procedural parts were the solution from the modding community, but the modding community wasn't so ambitious to rewire KSP 1 into something more playable.
  11. Yes it does. In fact, it talks about this on the Steam page and makes it somewhat of a selling point (in fact fact, it sort of is if KSP 1's impulse driven maneuver plotting system has ever driven you crazy before).
  12. And you're going to do the mental gymnastics to blame the schedule T2 gave them on the devs themselves?
  13. Really, tell me. What use is a planned orbit if you don't have the propellant to achieve it. For high TWRs, maybe, but KSP 2 isn't forcing you to use high TWRs like KSP 1. You have to consider that "course of the burn" is necessary for low TWR vessels, which I doubt people will be hesitant to use with the improved maneuver nodes and thrust in warp. So you don't need me to tell you that a hydrogen tanker pushed by a massive ion tug would depend on the maneuver prediction knowing its thrust and propellant mass in order to plan its transfer. You really shouldn't need me to tell you that the TWR of a torch drive driven ship (when we get those) cannot use the impulse nodes of KSP 1 for trip planning.
  14. If you don't mind sharing, your expertise in the gaming industry is...?
  15. How else would it know how your vessel will move over the course of the burn?
  16. I don't do discussions with people who want to use logical fallacies as an argument to why bugs aren't happening. multiple times now you have dismissed people expressing concern because "oh these bugs aren't happening to me so they must be lying about them happening I assume you were attempting to quote this? I don't see any logically fallacious arguments here. I can attest to their experience as well. A few bugs here and there like the Mission Control announcer popping in when I'm in the VAB if I don't go to the KSC before entering it, or a vessel giving itself a landed state while in the air (not as gamebreaking here as this was in KSP 1 where it shut timewarp off), but nothing that's enough to end a mission.
  17. Love it and the new voice direction. Only thing that doesn't make sense to me is that it's made out like you can't use ions to drive heavy crewed vehicles a la the Hermes as well - you couldn't do it in KSP 1 only because of timewarp and electricity limitations, but those aren't there in KSP 2 with a readily available reactor, large batteries and the ability to accelerate time while burning without any mods. In fact, with such a vessel, it probably wouldn't be necessary to have more than one engine with a sufficiently high orbit from the moment you ditch your upper stage, and the new maneuver nodes make it more than easy enough to plot trajectories for such vessels.
  18. They are doing some work, just on that stupid Discord server...
  19. When they lied saying they needed extra time to make that the case How can they lie about that when they said nothing of the sort, and all we heard is that the game was delayed, nothing else?
  20. That's not a reason, the VAB isn't tiny and and these limitations aren't realistic.
  21. <s> Like the time they lied about the game running perfectly on mid-tier hardware? </s>
  22. No they're all just people. And people can love up. And when they love up repeatedly, believing they will stop loveing up in the future is a nice thought but not the most likely outcome. For what KSP 2 is after only ~3 years, and given all the background content being worked on at the same time, I wouldn't consider it much of a love-up
  23. It's a better alternative to fixed limitations that have no reason or rhyme behind them.
  24. <s> No, because everyone is a devil apparently </s>
