I literally never said don't want enby kerbals in the game. I would be happy if they added them because my sibling is enby. I'm just trying to say that I feel like this thread has gone on a little long. I'm not trying to oppose it. Saying "I'm not against choosing your gender identity, but like, they're pieces of space broccoli" in response to NB kerbals but not male/female Kerbals is something you'd only do if you were trying to oppose it.
-
The only time I've heard you complaining about people being able to make suggestions is when it meant the chance of Intercept being inclusive to a beaten-up and marginalized group of people using features that already exist in KSP 1. The only thing the complainers in this thread don't like is non-binary people being represented. People only seem to complain about Kerbal genders when it means they have to confront the fact that NB people exist.
-
Imagine not reading the entire sentence where Iiterally say "I'm not against you choosing your gender identity" Then why are you against NB people being able to choose their gender identity? Why is it that male and female kerbals completely fine, but NB kerbals cross a line? The "they're just aliens" excuse needs doing away with. That ship sailed when Squad implemented genders in the first place.
-
It is over, the effort and resources were spent. Removing female kerbals won't, for example, fix the robotic drift bug. Apples and oranges.
-
That would hold water if their orientations weren't explicitly defined in-game, but they are and all of them are binary.
-
Our existence is not inappropriate. And there is a difference between being gender fluid and e.g. trans, before you keep lumping them into one. On that note, you must think KSP 1 Kerbals having sexual orientations is inappropriate, right?
-
Did devs say that explicitly? Or it is your own understanding of the situation? I don't need a dev to tell me that an Orion drive I saw in a dev screenshot several years ago actually exists and will come with the stage that adds interstellar scale parts.
-
People are still saying "it's just a space game" like that ship didn't sail when Squad implemented genders in 1.0. If a Kerbal can generate with a tag that reads "Male" or "Female", then it is not a lot to ask - it isn't even anything to ask - for a tag that says "Chooses not to say" or something.
-
The roadmap isn't incomplete features. It's complete features that the devs have selectively enabled in the game so they can focus on getting and addressing feedback one thing at a time.
-
And? The game already has female kerbals. The game already has male kerbals. If you're against the idea of NB kerbals, then it's probably not the "kerbal" in "NB kerbal" you don't like.
-
That same argument was made when they tried adding the female kerbals. Tried? They were rather successful! Not a soul complaining about female kerbals right now. But having non-binary kerbals steps a line for some reason. I wonder why. This one is addressed to the entire thread. Don't run away from things just because they're "new and scary". As for how this would be implemented, Kerbals already have their gender labelled in the astronaut complex. You can figure out the rest.

Let's go back to 2015.... "This game is all about killing Kerbals or torturing them in hideous ways. Is adding female Kerbals really a good idea?"

Of course, but some people seem to think Intercept isn't even 1% of the way towards its goal. -

Beats "you're just being silly, none of these things we've been seeing for years are actually complete" for an answer -

It doesn't lack anything. Most of the features that we'll see unlocked have been completed for years now.
