  1. Space shuttles are supposed to be useless?! I thought that was just something I did. If you're not playing KSP to challenge yourself, what are you doing?
  2. Oh, you can say that again. KSP has a twitter, which isn't nearly as annoying in this regard, and yet they're going to use TT/Insta instead?
  3. Why? Sol does not belong in the Kerbal universe. They don't work like in Star Wars. Asteroids will be thousands of kilometres apart at the least, not including binaries.
  4. Alas, T2 doesn't want to give owners downloads for these owners, and yet they insist we don't use other methods to get them - it's a paradox I say. Good thing that listening is only an option.
  5. Completely agree. Freestyle docking is not always what is needed for certain builds imo
  6. That's not how it works. The code doesn't change, rather the thing that changes is an index which contains text that gets rendered after the code establishes things like UI layout.
  7. Arma 3 doesn't have terrain maps that span planets.
  8. "many" must be the name of the guy who wrote T2's financial reports, because it's definitely looking like a 2023 release.
  9. That'll be fairly easy, flying cars already exist and only pilots are allowed to fly them for all the reasons that separate aircraft from ground vehicles.
  10. Transcribe what, exactly? There's nothing to transcribe until the composer has already composed a piece, and at that point there's no point in transcribing anything because the composer already has their sheet music. The cost for Take Two to be able to afford the entire team's salaries over the years that the game has been developed will have cost more than hiring an orchestra to play a few pieces.
  11. I think there's already music composed. You could "just" transcribe it to sheet music. (I know, I know, not the easiest thing in the world) "I think there's already music composed" As in the team popped into work one day to find a piece has come into existence on its own? They hired a composer, the music didn't write itself. And if a piece of music did Boltzmann-brain itself into reality as a finished piece, the team without a composer likely wouldn't be qualified enough to transcribe it. That's another thing. You compose music first, then make it into a finished piece. You only transcribe a piece that exists but does not have any readily available sheet music to go along with it. That's all besides the point - the point is that assuming that KSP 2 only costs as much as an orchestra to make gravely oversimplifies things. You need a programmer to tell the game when and how to play the file containing the music.
  12. Forget the costs of a composer, the programmers building the game (and integrating the music), the logistics of keeping tabs on every staff member and pushing the game out by the time it is due to begin physical production...
  13. Sounds like what you said on my black hole thread Probably because both suggestions don't respect the laws of thermodynamics :p
  14. A. This idea is large enough that it merits its own thread B. The stuff released from a Supernova isn't "guess I'll put a few more radiators on", it's "guess I'll get incinerated".
  15. Combining them doesn't remove this functionality. It just removes the loading screen and/or having to move to an entirely different workspace.
  16. Just because you were a kid during the 2000s and were too young to keep up with events, doesn't mean said events didn't happen. A lot of people seem to be biased this way and let themselves become tricked into thinking x or y thing they like were marginalized back then.
  17. KSP 2 isn't taking a sci fi approach, it's taking a real science approach.
  18. Not to mention that KSP 2 is on a whole different level to Parallax anyway. Except that's not what they're saying at all, but go on.
