  1. Stream's started! To begin, some lovely Test Shot Starfish music
  2. At least there's no exams for me tomorrow, so I can watch this evening without feeling guilty for not studying...
  3. O boi, I'm actually going to be able to watch live this time! Even if they scrub! (of course, I'm betting on the launch window remaining the same in the event of a scrub)
  4. I think it’s possible through cheats, but every time I’ve tried descending into Jool I just passed through zero altitude and exploded at -250m.
  5. Maybe...because it’s Star Wars and the accurate representation of physics stops at ‘an orbit is a circular path around a celestial body’?
  6. Mock exams for the whole of this week (and most of next week) is not fun. I have little to no time to play KSP On the other hand, Christmas break starts not long after the exams end, so lots of time to play then!
  7. I find it quite fun to do technical drawings of my KSP craft, but since I'm not that good with a pencil, the drawings never seem to come out quite as nice as I'd like. Does anyone have any suggestions for free technical drawing software for PCs? I know that there's at least one available for mobile devices, but I don't think it would be very fun to draw on my tiny phone screen
  8. Well guys, it looks like you’re wrong. We will be getting a 1.9 update after all.
  9. AFAIK US2 uses n-body physics, while (stock) KSP uses patched conics. I'm not an expert on this, but it occurs to me that transferring a planetary system between these two methods could cause bad things.
  10. IIRC, the Wolfhound (and Skiff) were nerfed in version 1.6. They’re not nearly so OP now.
  11. I’ve never posted about Star Trek here because it’s so far removed from actual science that I don’t see any reason to connect it to reality, but there’s one thing that annoys me more than it really should. 99% of the planets they visit are Earth-like, with a nice oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere and 1G gravity. Sure, Starfleet may mostly be interested in these types of planets (probably for colonisation), but surely they can’t be THAT common. We only rarely see them visiting gas giants or atmosphereless rocky planets/moons, which is actually what they would likely be doing most of the time. Then again, this is Star Trek, so I probably shouldn’t question it...
  12. Munbase Omicron Theta is almost complete! The Kraken ate it a few times during construction (thank SQUAD for quickload) but now all it needs before completion is a storage module. (BTW, +1 to anyone who gets the reference in the name ).
  13. I think so. In their latest KSP Loading SQUAD revealed the first of the planet revamps (IIRC Moho and Dres) that will be added in version 1.9. After a few updates the whole Kerbol system should look shiny and new
  14. Today, I headed out to the Mun, in my new crew vehicle design. Sorry for the dark image, I just thought that this was an awesome looking screenshot
  15. Is CRS-19 the last Dragon 1 mission, or will that be CRS-20?
  16. He said he's on a Macbook...unfortunately Apple don't support upgrades to their computers. Generally all of the RAM is soldered in, and there are no expansion slots (usually there aren't even any screws on the bottom to get into the computer).
  17. @Boyster It doesn’t really glide. More like controlled falling I guess you could say it’s *puts on sunglasses* falling with style
  18. Those asset bundles also contain the majority of the game's code. If it was possible for the likes of us to get in there then I doubt it would be hard to completely brick the game
