  1. I’m guessing they’re going to put it on a crawler, similar to what they did with Mk1. Also, they’ll probably move it soon(tm). Maybe they’ll do the same as they’re doing in Texas - move the bottom half to the pad first.
  2. As I said, it is pre-alpha (so it’ll probably improve by the actual release). Also, I reckon Star Theory don’t want the graphics of KSP2 to be upstaged by an update to the original game
  3. I think part of the challenge of KSP1 is that you have a limited number of fixed-shape parts and you must put them together to build your craft. With procedural parts, it’s significantly easier because you can change the shape of parts to fit the particular rocket you’re building. Anyway, it’s already been confirmed that KSP1’s LEGO approach will be continued into the sequel. It’s even visible in the trailer - you see the parts being stacked up before the rocket launches.
  4. Don’t worry, he should respawn after a while
  5. Well, you could give another one of Snark’s mods a go: It enables switching fuel tanks between LF and LFO. It’s pretty lightweight, too.
  6. Actually, I’m comfortable with the heatshields currently in KSP1. Some radial heatshields would be nice though, for spaceplanes.
  7. I think I’m going to have time this weekend to make significant progress towards a new chapter, if not actually post it. Stay tuned!
  8. If you're getting 20min loading times with stock KSP, then you probably have an HDD. I don't know if it's possible to upgrade the hard drive on that laptop, but you could probably google it. If you can, then swapping out the HDD for an SSD is one of the most cost-efficient performance improvements you can get. I would highly recommend it.
  9. Well, could you be more specific, ie what kind of hard drive does it have?
  10. @PositronLance001 If you have a lot of mods and/or a slow HDD, then yes. If you can afford it, I would recommend investing in an SSD - it certainly sped things up for me
  11. Hmm, thanks for the suggestion, but I'd prefer to learn how to use the stock system before I decide to go for a mod instead. Scansat would probably be just as complicated to learn as Kerbnet anyway, so I may as well use that satellite I already put in orbit
  12. So currently in KSP I've been flying an airship around Kerbin, with one of my objectives being to seek out anomalies. For the purpose of pinpointing those anomalies, I launched this satellite to polar orbit: My problem is, despite playing KSP for almost two years now, I really have no idea how Kerbnet works, or how I can use it to my advantage. This is probably evident in my satellite design, because I added that survey scanner even though I didn't intend to scan for ore at all. I know the approximate location of the anomaly I want to visit, but I've gathered that in order to pinpoint it and add a waypoint I need to use Kerbnet. So, some help please?
  13. It still works perfectly. Besides, KRE’s plugin is necessary for the Super Heavy gridfins that @damonvv is making.
  14. Please, full SI. None of this archaic imperial measurement business either.
  15. I’m sitting two mock exams tomorrow, and two the day after that. It’s never fun, even if you know that mock exam results don’t affect anything
  16. @TheKSPKerbalGuy You missed out the banners for 1.2, 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6, just an FYI.
  17. Banned both of you for posting before me because I wanted to ban @XB-70A.
