[1.8] EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements [1.8.0-2]
RealKerbal3x replied to Waz's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
OK, so I'm still a little confused about installing custom EVE configs. Do I just install EVE without configs and then just drop the custom config file in my Gamedata? -
Corrupted saves are never good. Do you maybe have a backup of the savefile? You'll probably lose some progress but at least you'll have your save back.

[1.4.5 and above] KSCTweaker - small KSC improvements
RealKerbal3x replied to Ger_space's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Looks nice! What are the dependencies though? Do we need Kerbal Konstructs for these tweaks to work? -
Ha! I'd totally install this, but I rarely play career.
-
Yeah. Having shiny graphics is nice, but for me it's always gameplay not graphics.

[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
RealKerbal3x replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey @Nertea, I have a small suggestion regarding the PPD-24 service module in NF Spacecraft. Would it be possible to add a small amount of KIS storage to it? I might be being blind and it might have it already, but I think storage would fit for the intended purpose of the part. -
[1.8] EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements [1.8.0-2]
RealKerbal3x replied to Waz's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I believe Scatterer does that, but not EVE. -
@Trekkie148 You can change your profile picture yourself; just go to your profile and click the little icon in the bottom left of your current profile picture and it should let you upload an image. EDIT: Also, I'd probably ask this in the stickied name change thread in Kerbal Network.

Missing Kerbal pic
RealKerbal3x replied to BlueVapor1234's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
@BlueVapor1234 Just a tip...if there are no portraits in the lower right corner, you can still EVA and transfer kerbals around by right-clicking on the hatch of a crewed part. -
Engines you wish were added.
RealKerbal3x replied to Xurkitree's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I feel like Porkjet's LV-T15 and LV-303 engines. They complete the 1.25m engine lineup nicely. For now, you can get them and the other revamped engines in Missing History, but I'd like to see them in the stock game. -
menu buttons not working
RealKerbal3x replied to stormedatom568's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Hi @stormedatom568! How did you re-install KSP? Was it off Steam, the KSP store, or somewhere like GoG.com? -
Same here. I only have 30ish mods installed. I also frequently look through my Gamedata folder and think ‘Do I really need mod xyz?’
-
Hey, great job! I'm almost there too!

help with symmetry
RealKerbal3x replied to SofusRud's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Welcome to the forums @swordfish23! Just a quick tip... this thread was last posted in in 2014, and the OP has most likely solved his/her issue by now. It’s still generally OK to post in old threads as long as the topic is still relevant, but make sure to check the date of the last post before you make one. I hope you stick around here though -
How do I write Module Manager patches?
RealKerbal3x replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I do indeed have MM. I tried putting the patch in Gamedata but it had no effect. The part inside the brackets on the top line is supposed to be the part's name, yes? During loading MM said that it had found an error in the patch, so I changed the name in the brackets to RCSFuelTankR1, which is the internal name for the part (Did it change in the transition to 1.4?). However this didn't work either. Thanks a lot for your help though -
How do I write Module Manager patches?
RealKerbal3x replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Thanks a lot! 1. I assume that would just be a notepad text file? 2. Where exactly do I put it? Sorry, I'm not really familiar with MM patches. -
How do I write Module Manager patches?
RealKerbal3x replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I updated from 1.3.1 straight to 1.4.1 using GoG Galaxy. That may have broken something, I'm not sure. I didn't make a copy of 1.3.1 before I updated though. -
How do I write Module Manager patches?
RealKerbal3x replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I am running 1.5, but that screenshot was from back in 1.4. That RCS tank is still bugged out like that. I could get a screenshot from the latest version of the game if it helps. -
How do I write Module Manager patches?
RealKerbal3x replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Yep, that little note was just making it clear that it should be moved if it was in the wrong place. Though I reckon this is probably the right place. I checked the folder containing the model, texture and .cfg and it's still there, labelled as 'Model001'. It was deprecated in 1.4, but for some reason it's still there and KSP is still applying it rather than the new mesh. -
How do I write Module Manager patches?
RealKerbal3x replied to RealKerbal3x's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
It's the 2.5m one, in the .cfg it's RCSFuelTankR1. -
"There is a theory that states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable." --Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe I thought this was a fitting quote. The universe is so enormous and statistically improbable that we will probably never figure everything out. A while ago we thought TRAPPIST-1 was weird, but now this 'Super-Jupiter' has come along and blown that out of the water.

Moderators: Sorry if this is in the wrong place! Please move it to the right subforum or merge it with the Module Manager thread if necessary. Anyway, I've been having this issue with the 2.5m monoprop tank since 1.4 arrived: I figure it's possible to fix it using a Module Manager patch, but I have no idea how to write MM patches. I feel like this small issue is a good way to learn how to write them, so how exactly would I do it? (By the way, in the image above, I believe the tank is using the new texture on the old model, if that helps.) Thanks in advance
