What I love about all of these fanfics is that they’re all set in the same game about space yet their characters and storylines manage to be totally different. I’ve seen a few which never even left Kerbin’s atmosphere (can’t remember their names though) I haven’t!!!! I have read a bit from the start of Shadows of the Kraken though and it looks really good Everyone, keep it up!!!!!

  6. Well, I understand that. Form always follows function. When the pics of the MEM were first revealed I did note that it looked a bit small though. And the rover wheels don’t really fold up enough to be useful.
  7. I’m not really into FPSs to be honest. They’re all really similar if you think about it, just shoot other people (or zombies) with guns. Oh also @Fraston welcome to the forums!!!!

  10. This should be a stock thing. In the solar panel action menu, there should be an option to ‘Lock Rotation’ and ‘Free Rotation’

  13. My space station is named after Eillorf Kerman, an engineer who died in a plane crash. She did some sterling work, including testing the Kerbal Inventory System when I first downloaded the mod. I’ve never lost a Kerbal in space though (oh dear, I’ve probably jinxed it now) I completed my ‘explore Kerbin’ contract today. I had to rendezvous two vessels in Kerbin orbit. It said they had to be in viewing distance, but it turns out that you can just get them within 1 km and it completes. I wanted to get a little closer though so I got to 500 m away. When it was time to go home, I attempted to get the two capsules close to each other on the ground but totally failed. That was basically all I did.

  15. It's basically a computer that you connect to your TV and play games on. EG, Xbox or Playstation. KSP Enhanced Edition is the console version of KSP. And yeah, everyone plays Fortnite. At lunchtime today I was busy drawing a picture of an SSTO and my friend kept jabbering on about a 'season 4 battle pass' and 'new skins'. And apparently KSP is bad, because the graphics are not good. And that was said by someone who had not only never played Kerbal, but was heavily biased toward Fortnite. I wish everyone would just stop playing copy-and-paste shooter games.
  16. Played around with @hazard-ish's paramotor. Kerbals being able to deploy the chute in the seat is great!!! However, since 1.4 I've been having weird textures on the 2.5m monoprop tank. It might be firespitter, I'm not sure. Anyway, the next time I play I plan to send the 2nd module to my space station. Also, @Azimech That looks AMAZING! Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to make my game look that good without getting 2 FPS.
  17. I noticed this too. I had to do a slight roll program before I started my gravity turn. Also, the runway is shorter than KSC's, and points north.
  18. OK, thanks. In an attempt to keep my modcount low-ish (I'm on a potato-laptop) I should probably just leave them as they are. And 25 tons sounds good. I know it's possible to create shuttles in stock that can lift 36 tons but that seems a bit overkill to me, as if I need to put a full orange tank in orbit I'll just use a different rocket. And the real STS couldn't even put that much in orbit. Thanks for the info!!!
  19. NASA were actually planning to dock a Shuttle to Skylab and boost it into a higher orbit, but the Shuttle programme was delayed and Skylab ended up burning up in Earth’s atmosphere. There’s your history lesson for the day @Pak I have 2 questions about the BlockII addon. 1. Do the front canards on the upgraded orbiter have heat tiles on them? I think the shuttle won’t look proper if those are missing. 2. How big is the payload limit with the LFBs? Thanks Also @The-Doctor You’ve got something weird going on with your cockpit there......
  20. YAAAAAAAAAS! Sorry, overreaction.... Anyway, I love the new airfield. Interesting tidbit: the runway points north, unlike at KSC where it points east. And all my mods (appear) to work!!! Thanks so much @SQUAD!!!!
  21. There’s no need to change the temperature tolerance. I did a suborbital lob up to 130km from the launchpad and after Jeb jumped out of the capsule at apoapsis he survived reentry, making a safe landing under parachute. I’m using 100% reentry heating too.

  23. I have a new english teacher. I'd just sat down at my desk and got out my stuff while the teacher was getting ready to teach the lesson. My classmate (who sits next to me) arrived and asked for me to tuck in my chair so he could get to his desk. The teacher was walking past as I said 'sure' and he said 'quiet' to me. Grr
