And there I was, buying KSP from GOG because there was a 40% discount.....

I watched a youtube video of KSP uploaded in 2012 and it happened in there.

Installing this update is very confusing, mostly because I haven't done it before. I kept getting that error message when I tried to install the part 1 of the update. Eventually I realised that I had to install the .BIN file first. I put that in the Windows C:/GOG Games/Kerbal Space Program folder. Then I installed the other part and put it in the same place. It then came up with a message saying that I was about to install KSP. But I stopped there because I didn't know if it was going to make another install of KSP or update my current install. I am a noob at this kind of stuff. I wish it was like the App Store where you just hit the big 'Update' button and it updates with one click.

Awesome looking!! I'm going to download this and wait for it to be updated to 1.4 (GOG.com is taking ages to put the download there anyway)

Title says it all. Think of a word, then make up a NASA-style acronym based on that word. Ideally space-based, but it can be anything you want. Doesn't have to make sense! (Remember the forum rules though!) I'll start: CHEESE. Capsule Hydraulics Emergency Escape System Eggs. (I don't know) GO!!

Sounds like Astroneer. I think stuff like improved planetary exploration would be fun. For example, Duna might have a lot of radiation, so it would be cool if we could create underground bases and the like.

OK, I'll try that Also, before they added 1.4 to GOG it had all of those downloads as version 1.3.1 as well as another called 'Patch 1.3.1', if that helps.

1.4 is out on GOG.com, yay!!! Although I am confused about how to download it. Indeed... The first post was May 17th 2013, so just after the forum derp in 2013, I assume. I wasn’t there for it, luckily. OK, back on this thread!! Although I technically did this last night and it’s now morning, I did it less than 24 hours ago so it’s still today!! I mostly worked on my VTOL. I got it to take off, fly around a bit, then sort-of vertically land. I’ll try and get some screenshots.

I keep getting this message whenever I launch CKAN. "Error in autoupdate: The request was aborted. Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel." I think I need to update, but how do I do that??

OK. I have 7 mods installed so it's probably better to wait till they are all compatible. I'm going to wait for Tuesday so I can get 1.4.1 AND the DLC in one day. So much more stuff to play with!! I don't know. Maybe it'll be discontinued, because when what was originally a mod feature gets integrated into stock, there's not much point using that mod anymore. Ejection seats would be interesting though.

@Geonovast Thanks By the way, if 1.4 comes out on GOG around the same time as 1.4.1, should I just download 1.4.1 or 1.4 and then 1.4.1? This is my first KSP update, by the way, and I'm (kind of impatiently) waiting to play with those Kerbal 'chutes and new textures!

^^ Like what everyone else said. I'm not really mad that mods aren't instantly updated because even modders can't spend their whole lives in Unity/Python/PartTools. (sorry, I don't know what you guys use to make mods really) They have family, or school, or work or other IRL stuff to do. And you can't make a major change to a game's code without breaking any mods, as far as I know.

Very sorry if this thread seems nagging, but I have a simple question. On Wednesday version 1.4 was released on Steam, and it was said that it: Now I bought KSP on GOG.com because there was a price reduction at the time (£17.99 rather than £29.99). I didn't know that GOG was a 'third party reseller'. My question is, when will I (and everyone else who bought on GOG) be able to download 1.4? Sorry in advance if someone else has already asked this question, or if it's in the wrong subforum. Thanks

Oh, cool Also, I closed my web browser and opened it again and the forum appears to be working fine.

Question: When will it be on GOG? I've watched a bunch of summary videos and read this entire thread. It looks AWESOME, but I bought KSP on GOG and it's not there yet. But it's looking great. Looking forward to do a Felix Baumgartner-style space jump with the EVA 'chutes!!!

This happened to me as well. I normally use Chrome but I'm currently posting using Edge as it seems to work here. Is there a way to report a problem with the forums to moderators/SQUAD staff? EDIT: @Jas0n I tried that, didn't work

Went onto GOG.com, and 2 new downloads for KSP are available: Kerbal Space Program (Part 1 of 2) and: Kerbal Space Program (Part 2 of 2) I think this is 1.4, but which one should I download?? EDIT: D'oh. With more inspection, it says that the version of those 2 downloads was 1.3.1. I guess 1.4 is not out on GOG yet. Also, I hope my mods will not be broken!!!
