  1. This is why they included the auxiliary landing engines on Lunar Starship. But they're really needed for landing on Mars too, so I'm curious if (and how) they're going to incorporate those into the regular Starship design. I am glad it wasn't a major Raptor issue requiring significant redesign, though.
  2. Crew-1 docking stream: I'm not getting up stupidly early this time, I'll see what's happened in the morning.
  3. A quick explanation video by Scott Manley on how Crew-1 docking will work:
  4. The software that the forum runs on had a UI update a while back. The general response was negative:
  5. [insert obligatory Hitchhiker's Guide reference here]
  6. Kerbin's textures were already redone in 1.9, but I suppose an update that improves terrain further would be cool.
  7. It looks like a Raptor went into SN8 at 8:05am local on the LabPadre feed, but I can't seem to get a good picture as it was obstructed by the test stand.
  8. Those are going in my 'desktops' folder. Thanks for the link
  9. It's all just speculation right now, but the name of the update is very intriguing - 'Some Reassembly Required'. To me this seems to imply some sort of KIS-esque construction system. They usually release two KSP Loading articles before every update, so presumably we'll learn about the main feature of 1.11 in the next one.
  10. You can't. It's so trolls or spammers can't break the rules and then remove the evidence. (Obviously you're not a troll or spammer though )
  11. I guess that liquid we saw dripped out through the nozzle, as I don't see any visible meltiness.
  12. Here's the short answer: The long answer: KSP was first made almost a decade ago by inexperienced indie developers. Having been worked on by many different people since then, it's a mess of inefficient spaghetti code. It'd be so expensive and time consuming to bring vastly improved performance and all of the other features meant for KSP 2 to the original that they'd have to charge $60 for it, and at that point it may as well be a separate game.
  13. @qwerbo So far the developers haven't given us much information on this. All we know is that the celestial bodies will be the same size as they are in KSP 1, and that there will be 'multiple' other star systems.
  14. A Raptor was removed from SN8: (scroll back to 4:25am on the LabPadre feed to watch it come out).
  15. I feel like this would be better suited for the COVID-19 thread.
  16. They really should have never announced a release date. I'm not sure how they were planning to release it in spring this year, considering that it's been delayed to two years later now. But at the moment, you can either have a rushed game now or a great game later.
  17. But doesn't increasing pressure increase the temperature? So wouldn't that have the opposite effect? Apologies if this is a stupid question, my physics knowledge is mediocre at best.
