I'm a bit late, but... How do we know that the developers are mediocre? KSP 2 isn't being developed by SQUAD so we can't pre-judge it based on that. Everyone involved with the game that's been interviewed seemed really enthusiastic about making a fitting sequel to KSP. And unlike KSP 1's original developers, it seems that most of them have a real background in professional game development - so there's less chance of the 'technical debt' that built up as the original game was developed. Sure, the debacle with Take2 gutting Star Theory was concerning to say the least, but work on the game seems to be back on track now and as long as T2/Private Division don't ruin it with microtransactions or other monetisation garbage, I think it'll come out as a polished game. In the end, we have to wait for the game to actually come out and the reviews to roll in - then we'll know.

That's a lot of damage steel rings! Presumably at least some of them are for Super Heavy... -
Interstellar? Presumably this is a typo and you meant interplanetary? Or did you get your hands on KSP 2 early?

'What did you do in KSP today' is the largest. This might be in second place. -

Here's a few different options for a 28-engine Super Heavy... -

Perhaps, but I think the legs would be wider than that (Musk mentioned a while back that while there would be only four legs, they would have a wider stance). -

Seems like they'll be wasting no time on starting SH Booster 1 construction once the high bay is finished... -

Congrats to everyone -
One sentence you could say to annoy an entire fan base?

Expendable rockets are a waste of money, and also way less cool than reusable rockets. (lol, I love how this thread is devolving into a low-key 'SLS vs Starship' debate ) -

Looking like a double vent now, the wind may have got the better of them. -

NSF is live again, seems they're ready for another attempt... Edit: It appears that prop loading has started. Edit 2: 10 minutes to go! The siren went off! -

NASASpaceflight stream is now estimating that the hop will occur around 1PM CDT. Lots of tank farm activity now. Edit: Vehicle now venting! Edit 2: Detanking double vent. Looking like an abort. -

Seeing some activity from the tank farm now, it could be the methane recondenser. -

Super Heavy thrust structure is indeed being built! Oh, also: Sad, I wanted to see three flights today -

If they want to build a Super Heavy by October, then I'd reckon steel rings for SH SN1 are already in progress inside the fabrication tents... (also, let's hope the hop happens today ) -
Does Better Time Warp work on KSP 1.10.1?

@KerbalKiller2000 Why not ask on the mod's thread, or try it yourself to see if it works? -

The crane that they're currently using to build the high bay is pretty big, they might be able to use that. -

I feel like if they could at least get Super Heavy SN1 built by then, it would go a long way to show NASA that they're serious about this thing. Other than the grid fins, giant legs and 31-engine thrust puck, Super Heavy is essentially a stretched Starship tank section. I doubt they'd want to risk 31 engines on a short hop though (at the moment they don't have anywhere near 31 flight-ready Raptors) so the first Super Heavy will probably hop with only a few engines. -

You can just make a named quicksave using Alt-F5 before you install the mod, then if installing it breaks something you can just remove Snacks and reload the quicksave using Alt-F9.

By default, Snacks adds a certain amount of food to every module capable of holding crew, which means you'll have supplies even if you don't have any dedicated Snacks containers on your craft. It also doesn't kill Kerbals if you run out of food, just incapacitates them, so I think you should be able to add this mod to your saves just fine. But make a backup, just in case

Seems like they may have repaired (at least some of) SN5's damage for its next hop! The shot at 3:09 is from a distance but it looks to me like the heatshield tiles have been repaired or replaced.
