  1. All the Starships (and a test tank): The thing they're building at the launch site is still not a water tower.
  2. It's not a mod, but you probably need the Making History DLC.
  3. Thanks, this mod is great! Have you made any progress on the MAV? I'm really excited to try that out.
  4. Just copy the direct link from imgur and paste it into your post, it should automatically embed.
  5. If you're talking about KSP 2, then no, there's no pre-order currently available.
  6. LabPadre has a thermal cam now... Edit: NSF's latest video. I wonder if SN6 will static fire with or without its mass sim?
  7. You can get by with integrated graphics (just about) if you don't use graphics mods. With graphics mods, you do need a dedicated video card, but it probably doesn't need to be insane - 2GB memory will most likely do. KSP is mainly a CPU-intensive game. KSP is mostly single-threaded (though I think it uses one thread per separate craft if there are multiple vehicles in the physics range) so the number of cores shouldn't matter too much. My laptop's old i7 has 2 cores (4 threads) and it generally handles the game fine as long as part count is <200. As far as I know higher = better, but 2.5 GHz or more should suffice. I think most current CPUs have a clock speed of 3.5 GHz out of the box; that would do fine. That really depends on what you define as 'good FPS'. My old laptop (which could fall under the category of 'potato', though that's subjective too) can maintain ~30 FPS with graphics set to medium/low. If part counts are high then it can drop to a more choppy (but still just about playable) ~15 FPS. Generally though any decent modern system should be able to handle normal KSP gameplay no problem.
  8. @C7 Aerospace Nobody knows, except perhaps SQUAD. The reason why updates take so long to come out for console as opposed to PC basically comes down to Microsoft/Sony's stringent certification rules for games on their consoles, and the fact that SQUAD has to contract out to another company to port the updates to console. All of that adds up to a long delay - by the time you do get the update, you may find it bundled in with content from PC version 1.11 or 1.12 anyway.
  9. Yeah, I'm kind of leaning towards launch pad. Those rebar cages are huge (~2m diameter) - I doubt concrete pillars that large would be required for a water tower, unless it's an insanely huge one. We can also see from aerial photos that they're building it in a hexagonal configuration similar to that of Starship's launch mount.
  10. Ultra Kerbin: Shrinks Kerbin to 1/10 of its original size, while increasing its mass 10x. Good luck orbiting a neutron star!
  11. Wow. Look at that thing. That's one sexy piece of engineering. In other news, I'm torn on the thing they're building at the launch site. Is it a launch pad or a water tower?
  12. You might be putting the grid fins on upside down. They should fold down when retracted, not up.
  13. SN5 had miniscule v1.0 legs, these are apparently 60% longer v1.1 legs, possibly for SN8.
  14. Nice overview of the build site by RGV Aerial Photography. It's difficult to visualise how everything is laid out from ground-level shots but an aerial view really helps!
  15. New downcomer, thrust puck and legs! (also, it's definitely a launch pad and not a water tower).
  16. It's still unpopular among the majority of the United States' population, as well as some other countries. But yes, I wouldn't say it's an unpopular opinion on this scientifically minded forum
