Potentially silly photo posting question...
RealKerbal3x replied to DaveyJ576's topic in Welcome Aboard
@DaveyJ576 I would recommend Imgur. It's free, has a simple and intuitive interface and you don't need an account to upload images (though I would recommend it if you're going to be uploading a lot of images, perhaps for a mission report). Once you upload your pics to Imgur you can just copy the direct link and paste it into your post, it should automatically embed. -

SN7.1 has been disposed of. Bye buddy (zoom back to 12:19pm local time to watch them scuttle it) -
I got into orbit in KSP 0.13.3! It's a lot harder than in more recent versions of the game After this, I realised that my rocket was capable of more and managed to achieve a Mun flyby. I could have probably orbited but since quicksaves don't exist in this version, I decided not to risk it. After leaving the Mun's SOI (there are no patched conics - similar to the level 1 tracking station - so it's hard to see where you'll go next) I was flung onto a highly elliptical Kerbin orbit. After decreasing my periapsis, and a second, more distant encounter with the Mun, I re-entered and successfully splashed down. This was a fun look back at the early history of KSP!

Looks to me like it might be Kerbal Attachment System.

I won't be able to watch because it's at 3AM for me but...please...no...scrub... -
Hmm, agreed - @Probro if £500 randomly appeared in my bank account, I would probably be suspicious and ask my bank where it came from, not immediately spend it. They might try and take it back.

I'm still unsure how they're going to refuel the Lunar Starship when it's in lunar orbit. Are they planning to send tankers to NRHO? Is Lunar Starship somehow going to return to LEO after each lunar sortie? I can't think of any other ideas short of putting a giant propellant depot in lunar orbit. -

Sorry, it's still not clear what you're asking. Are you looking for a way to download the game without paying for it? If so, that's illegal and we can't discuss it on this forum. And what do you mean by 'modes for engineering purposes'? KSP has three game modes - sandbox mode might be the best for testing a spacecraft design as you're not limited by technology levels or lack of in-game money. But if you're looking to use KSP as an engineering simulator, you'll want to install the Realism Overhaul mod to make it as accurate as possible.

AFAIK the pressurised mating adapter doesn't have provisions for fuel pumping. So the docking port on Tanker Dragon would have to be redesigned to be compatible with the Russian segment's ports. -

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't, Mk1 was little more than a fancy backdrop for Elon's presentation. -

I think it makes more sense for them to simply roll the nosecone out to the pad. Otherwise they'd have to roll SN8 back and forth again. Also, NASASpaceflight is live! -

Perhaps a smaller version of the 2016 ITS landing legs? It seems like they're trying to minimise disrupting the shape of the heat shield (presumably so they don't need a zillion different shapes and sizes of tiles like Shuttle had), but the last set of official renders we got showed a bulge in the aft heat shield, presumably to smooth out the landing leg housing. So maybe a return to three large wide-stanced deployable landing legs could be possible. Quick mockup of what that might look like in MS Paint: Obviously the legs would be more smoothed into the main fuselage than they appear here, but I imagine it looking something like this if they went back to the large ITS-style legs. Edit: Just realised I got the engine config the wrong way up, but that doesn't really matter -

In that case, we should just measure masses in Newtons instead. Gravity-independent units are a good thing. -

Presumably pounds in terms of mass. Kilograms are better anyway.
