I have been using a rover solar panel from Chopshop (RSP-R) and just attaching everything to that - no pipes, the solar panel acts as a physical connection. I only started doing this because KAS's update. one could just use the included truss - just add more and attach the experiments to the truss and the truss(es) to the computer. I don't know if the new kas pipes would work (or similar and that would also keep the spirit of the mod). I would think that anything that physically connects the parts together would work.
-
I use it with 1.7 and KAS 1.3 - just attach parts to a girder or part - don't need to run wires. - haven't tried, but suspect that an EVA strut could also work.
-
You are welcome. Hopefully they help and are correct. mouse tracking sounds fun.

Thank you. That's the one. now to see what needs to be updated to make it work in 1.7. Probably nothing.

@Trolllception hope you don't mind, submitted several minor patches via PR.

[1.9.x] OSE Workshop Reworked - KIS Addon
zer0Kerbal replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Fired it up on 1.7 with SimpleConstruction and NotSoSimpleConstruction(NSSC) and worked well. Selection was very limited in what could be fabricated, probably because I was most likely doing something incorrectly or forgetting something. Will re-read directions once I get some sleep. Did notice two more patches that could be used. [Duct Tape] has a space , so autoadding to all seats is tricky. Plus [Duct Tape] doesn't stack. add stacking to [Duct Tape] PR submitted - plus one further change to MM_Workshop.cfg - so patch covers all science labs, not just the Large_Crewed_Lab. -
[1.9.x] OSE Workshop Reworked - KIS Addon

MM_Workshop.cfg For the Workshop.cfg, WorkshioAICore.cfg, and WorkshopChemical.cfg Hope you don't mind, put 4 PR's for these fixes/changes on GH. -
@geonvast Worked perfectly for both variants - the rover and lander. Took less than a minute to slap on some tires and have Jeb rev it up on the grounds! so I put a few more on, two in front for lights, two in back for lights or antennae and on on top forward (flush or inset) for like an octo2 or something. Hopefully this time I wasn't nodelexic. you think this can needs some more? say along the sides or along the back hatch? underneath? rear top? just say the word, doesn't take long at all.
-
I knew I had something amiss. Thank you. Am now going to try to crack the variant puzzle, if possible. Hmm.. the second underscore issue I was unaware of and probably why I had nightmares in previous projects doing similar things. If you can use it - go for it. Am debating about adding two forward and two rearward 0 sized 'light' nodes, and one forward 'vanity plate' and one rear 'hitch' size 0 nodes. especially since even though the can is square in rover style, the actual mesh is round(ish). No worries - I included that second one for fun.

I think you just put Bill into a coma....

zer0Kerbal replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
wish there was a way to make the unretractable panels be able to be retracted by a level 2 engineer on eva. -
easier way would be to work with module manager's clone feature here is a sample:
