  1. I have to agree, performance is not so bad with small number of parts. I run a 3060 laptop with full TDP and with everything set to high on 1440p i got a minimum of 8 fps when looking down at the KSC with a lot of clouds. If I set it to medium I go up to ~15 in the same scene. 15 fps as worst performance is decent for unoptimized early access. I'm sure that it will go lower with a higher number of parts. Will have to explore other planets too, but at least I can relax and not have to upgrade my PC.
  2. I can't find a rename agency button anywhere.
  3. Yes, had that exact same bug with the K2.
  4. The collision meshes for the wheels are wrong. Wheels need a big update in the near future.
  5. That's a really cool feature and it's on purpose - to remind you that you're in the simulator.
  6. Please always consider the fact that the UI has to be visible for players that are sitting 3 meters away from the TV on the couch. That being said, I like how everything is arranged now. It's true useful space should be maximized. Most importantly: please maximize the size of the NavBall.
  7. Landing legs with automatic horizontal leveling is such a massively requested feature. We need this.
  8. Yes, I've also experienced stages remaining attached to each other when decoupling.
  9. @RedderThanMisty FYI I manually quoted you here!
  10. I don't agree with this. There's no point in having action menus anymore because all parallel actions (like fuel transfer) and information (how much fuel a tank has) have been moved to their dedicated apps. Having a list of all parts on the craft is always very useful. Parts Manager should be improved, not replaced. It's also a great feature for console players. Not right clicking. Middle clicking or tilde key '~' should close it. I want it to remain open when I'm moving the camera around. Just use ALT + (WSADQE) to adjust trim. And you can also lock SAS to any direction you want. No autopilot needed.
  11. Players have to be able to see everything from a couch distance when playing on console. Keep this in mind.
  12. Chill with the modding for a few days. Let the devs iron out the bugs before making APIs. Love.
  13. I agree with this. Maybe it should stay hidden while the crash is taking place and appear on-click.
  14. Best to try and copy / move it to another folder and see if the game works. If it does, maybe it's nice to change the title and the OP, as to not confuse or induce panic.
  15. [Tutorials] are great. The onboarding is well designed, the animations are funny and beautiful. I enjoyed the learning experience through the Training Center system. I also like the P.a.i.g.e voice and the text is direct and clear. [Sound] the music and sound design is amazing, very good work! [VAB] the little ball that appears when attaching parts is very useful to determine 3D position (it's great) [VAB] I like how the camera re-centers on a part, after moving it, when right-clicking. [Simulation Mode] I like how the faint RGB pixels look [Parts] the procedural wings make it less intimidating to try to build an airplane, they're awesome I like the vibe and idea of a Kerbal Operating System Interface on top of a realistic looking world The parts look amazing. 10/10 The new craft coloring system is very cool for creativity and making a design feel like it's yours The plumes look very good, I like how dynamic they are and how they vary with every engine / booster The terrain reflections in the Tracking Station for celestial bodies like Eeloo, Pol and Minmus are eye candy. Dres, Mun and Duna look very nice and realistic. I enjoy how the new KSC is set up, it feels good to drive and fly around The way information is structured around the navball is intuitive, I like how the 'tapes' feel and I really like the subtle transparency of the navball cluster. I really like how the clouds look when seen from below sometimes, they're realistic but dreamy The new cinematic trailer is beyond words. Epic, marvelous, funny, emotional! Great cinematics, my all time favorites! The KSC Buildings Overview menu (the white transparent one) is eye candy, beautiful and modern (also the clean look of the Training Center using the same style) The Tracking Station menu structure is compact and logical The trees are beautiful seen from up close The kerbals walking and running animations look natural and funny at the same time. I think Jeb just scratched his butt and farted. LOL Actually now that I'm looking more carefully.. I really like the way the kerbals look.. with the cartoony head inside a realistic helmet and suit. I actually think the kerbals look great! Physics warp is very stable - I drove a rover and walked a kerbal and also flew an airplane at 4x speed without any issues. Combined with precision controls.. flying at 4x feels as natural as flying at 1x. Really great job! I think this is one of my favorite features so far. I don't think I can go back to flying at 1x. LOL I'm fascinated and a little intimidated by the (number of) camera angles.. there's a lot of diversity: some are very cinematic, others are made for racing. I enjoy how accessible the time warp controls are - I tend to use them with the mouse now rather than with the keyboard. And having a Pause button is GREAT! I like that the max distance we can zoom out of a craft feels like it's smaller than in KSP1. This way the craft is always in view and it feels less cheaty when looking around. The trim indicators integrated in the navball cluster are very useful! After playing for some hours I feel like most of the bugs I've encountered are cosmetic and easily fixable. I'm enjoying the game (especially flying airplanes). It's nice that actions now apply to all the parts in the symmetry. I like that the struts are more realistic and break more easily. I find it interesting that the fairings feel like they have weight and can do real damage if not deployed correctly. I like how massive the planets feel when orbiting them.. I think it's because of the higher level of detail of the terrain seen from above. I love the fact that now we can stage while in Map View! Landing on Eve is one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had in KSP. What a masterpiece! Later edit: After also landing on Duna I am in awe. This is art. I like how tall and steep the terrain is on Dres. The planet has become one of the most interesting in the game now due to the rings, tilt, canyons, mountain range. And the rainbow lighting effects underwater. Also the incidental lighting from celestial bodies thanks to the new planet shine system. And really like how eclipses of planets with atmosphere look. Pol looks amazing when close, probably the celestial body with the most interesting terrain. The anomalies on Duna, Tylo and Mun are very high quality objects. I think the lore is going in a fascinating direction.
  16. My suggestions for the initial Early Access release version of the game (have also been sent through the Feedback system in the Game Launcher): [Tracking Station] Physical characteristics like semi-major axis and circumference are large values in meters. It would be great to either have separators for groups of 3 digits (because large numbers are hard to parse) or use greater units like Km. [Tutorial videos] allow seeking with arrow keys and space to pause while watching a tutorial video [Tutorials] the Time Warp tutorial could use some extra explanations of physics warp and on-rails warp or the speed-limits of warp depending where the vessel is I don't know how to change my agency name. Can this be made more obvious? [VAB] in the staging list, the icon for engines looks like a sports Winners Cup. I think it should be changed to something easier to visually parse. Why not use the same icon as in the Parts Catalogue? That one is better. [Settings] have a setting to select between 5 seconds and 10 seconds launch countdown [Parts Manager] integrate the Parts Menu icons in the Parts Manager (as vertical icons to the left of the list) - so the parts are grouped and we can easily find what we're looking for [Flight] Pressing ESC should pause the game. [Map View] the (ship/debris) icons should be less pixelated [Game Launcher] please add an option to not close the launcher when the game is started (in order to easily send feedback while the game is running) [Flight Mode] Close the Parts Manager window when middle clicking away from it or when pressing tilde '~'. [Flight Report Window] should stay hidden while a crash is taking place and appear on-click. [VAB] Make double (right or middle)-clicking reset the camera like pressing the Home button does.
  17. Early Access - 25.02.2023 (Feedback has also been sent through the Game Launcher) - BUG?: [VAB] when using left click to exit the Bluepring Mode the transition is not smooth (it jumps to the regular view instead of zooming out the perspective) - BUG: [VAB] grouping by mass is not correct (5 ton part appears in the 0.1 - 0.5 category) - BUG: [Trip Planner] The round trip estimations are not correct (surface deltaV is doubled). - BUG: [VAB] after reloading the first tutorial for building a vehicle in the VAB the SHIFT key did not work to view more part details - BUG: [Map View] the points of SOI interception indicators in map view are very large sometimes - BUG: [Map View] trajectory line between points of SOI interception is missing - BUG: [Map View] the maneuver plan burn-timer does not slow down or stop if I lower or stop thrust. - BUG: [Map View] the KSC icon is cropped (see image) - BUG: [Map View] I can zoom into a celestial body and its surface disappears. Maybe zooming should stop very close to the surface. - BUG: [Tracking Station / Map View] the right-click hit box over a planet does not have the correct size - BUG: [Tracking Station] focusing button for Kerbol does not work. - BUG: [Tracking Station] focusing on Kerbol by double clicking the name places the camera inside it. - BUG: [Tracking Station] Kerbol density is not correct - BUG: [Tracking Station] temperature range is wrong for all celestial bodies - BUG: [Tracking Station] The order of the celestial bodies in the list is wrong. - BUG: [Tracking Station] Scrolling in the celestial bodies list also zooms in and out. - BUG: [Tracking Station] Laythe's atmosphere is not displayed correctly. - BUG: [Tracking Station] Kerbin and Tylo have the exact same circumference. - BUG: [Tracking Station] Geothermal activity is low for all celestial bodies (even Pol). - BUG: [Tracking Station] In the upper right of the screen there is a F / 0 button (green / red). I don't know what that is. - BUG: [Flight View] the camera clips underground; it should not go under the terrain - BUG: [Sound] A random high-volume button click sound is sometimes heard randomly in the right speaker. - BUG: [Text] the v-sync setting description text has a typo: "if you are experience screen tears" - BUG: [Text] environment prop settings lacks a text description - BUG: [Text] in the main start menu there is a typo: "singleplayer" is missing a space character - BUG: [Text] in certain text snippets I've seen "x, y, and z" used. I think there should not be a comma before "and". - BUG: [Settings Menu] sometimes more than one option is highlighted (it looks like 2 options are selected) - BUG: [Settings Menu] in the graphics menu, selecting a PC quality preset does not change the other settings - BUG: [ESC Menu] After doing the tutorials, when in the VAB, if press ESC and select "Revert to VAB", the game switches from my agency name to the default Kerbal Space Agency. - BUG: [ESC Menu] Should "Revert to VAB" and "Revert to Launch" options be available in the ESC menu when we're already in the VAB? - BUG: [ESC Menu] "Recover vessel" option is still available after I recover a vessel. - BUG: [KSC View] Changing time warp speed using ',' and '.' keys is buggy (you have to press '.' 3-4 times to unpause). - BUG: [Flight / Map Views] When pausing / unpausing the game using ',' and '.' keys there are a lot of stacked yellow notifications that appear on the screen. This does not happen when pausing / unpausing using the UI button. - BUG: [Settings Menu accessed from KSC view] Cannot change the General/Difficulty setting. - BUG: [VAB] the UNDO mouse-over pop-up appears too high, it cannot be read - BUG: [VAB] the current vehicle indicator is on top of the text in the part details (see image) - BUG: [Training Center] The 'Location' text is underneeth the '/////' line. - BUG: [Parts Manager and other windows] The red outline for the x (close button) does not appear. - BUG: [VAB] In the Save Vehicle window clicking on the 'x' in the text boxes does not delete the text inside. - BUG: [Staging List] Right clicking a part does not open the Part Manager. - BUG: [Flight Mode] The Kerbal-K2 has issues when staging (the upper stage does not separate). - BUG: [VAB] Merging another craft in the current workspace spawns the vessel on top of the previous assembly. There should be a check so a craft only spawns where there's empty space (no intersections of parts). - BUG: [VAB] When saving I cannot easily overwrite a workspace because workspaces do not appear in the list. I have to write the full workspace name in order to overwrite. Or do I always save the main vehicle and the workspace is saved inside that file? I don't really understand how it works. - BUG: [VAB] When using assembly anchor tool, if I click the current anchor, the message path appears: "VAB/Messages/InvalidAnchor" - BUG: [Map View] When in orbit close to the Mun, the AP and PE values are not stable. - BUG: [Map View] After loading a previously saved game the orbital trajectory lines disappeared. - BUG: [Flight Mode] When orbiting close to the Mun (~10km) one of the cameras keeps switching from Orbital to Ground (with a lot of yellow notifications. When the game is paused there is no yellow notification bug.
  18. Actually, I think it would be a great idea to have underlined one-letter shortcuts in the Parts Manager menu. So we can just press Alt+<Key> for buttons and not roll our eyes or mouse around the screen.
  19. I think it would be very useful to implement one key shortcuts (underlined letters) for button-type options in the Parts Manager. Maybe they would be activated / highlighted by pressing Alt (or another key combination). I think it would speed up gameplay.. not having to move the mouse and click everything, constantly going from parts to the PM menu. Most OS and app menus use this system, it's very efficient. This is what I'm talking about:
  20. Funny thing is.. even according to the recent official announcement regarding hardware requirements.. a major thing that was causing low fps was the resource delivery system. Yes.. just the engines pulling fuel from the tank. There's nothing visual about that.
