  1. If there's anything I can do to help this initiative, please let me know.
  2. Probably my biggest mistake from last year workwise. Had to work to slowly build back the trust lost, but I know I never quite got there for some folks. You live and learn.
  3. Passed these messages among others to the team. A few reactions: Thank you all so much, it means a lot.
  4. Sure. KSP2 threads are currently split between three subforum categories: While KSP1 is under one category (with technical support and mods WITHIN the KSP1 parent category): It's a minor difference but could be important to some so I put it as an option.
  5. As mentioned here, letting the community decide how this forum will look moving forward. I've added this poll to a widget on the front page as well. Feel free to use this topic to discuss the decision.
  6. The moderators know nothing more than you already know. Please avoid attacking other members of the community.
  7. Creating that human connection has always been one of the biggest goals of mine as a CM. Fans of the game only become fans of the studio by developing that sort of connection with the team. In my opinion, too many CMs act as some kind of wizard behind the curtain, when really a CM should just feel like another community member. Glad to hear I left an impression and kept you engaged with the community. Thanks for playing our game
  8. This week we'll be miniaturizing, aggressively. You're to build and fly the lowest-possible-mass craft you can that can deliver a kerbal to and return them from one of the following locations: The surface of the Mun The surface of Duna The surface of Tylo The surface of Moho The kerbal must plant a flag and return safely to Kerbin. Make full use of low-mass parts like the grumble seat, Oscar-B tank, Ant engine, and your kerbonaut's RCS pack to perform the maneuvers you need. Screenshot the mass of your vehicle before launch and show everyone how looooow you can goooooo!
  9. we're continuing to look at this as part of the UI/UX developments mentioned in Nate's post.
  10. Build a plane that's also a boat! It must be able to take off from and land safely on water. Primary: Launch an aircraft from the water and land it on the water. Secondary: Build an amphibious seaplane that can also land on a runway. Jeb: Land a seaplane on Laythe's ocean that is able to take off again to explore the planet. Val: Build a seaplane that is also an SSTO vehicle.
  11. To clarify, Gwen's message says that the plan is to not make any changes to the existing primary mission sequence. It does not say that there will not be any new missions added on. There are a solid number of missions coming in Colonies.
  12. We've posted many responses in that thread sharing our intentions to meet the community's expectations. We're actively working on it.
  13. It's been a whole year of weekly challenges! To celebrate, we want you to perform a challenge combo, where you accomplish at least the Primary goal of at least two of the year's previous challenges in one mission. Any two or more challenges can be combined: air launch a spooky rocket to orbit, fly a cave man grand tour, land a VTHL capybara on the Mun! Fly a VTOL sci-fi replica to visit two discoverables then return to Kerbin to perform an air show before flying it through the ring at the dock! The levels for this challenge are the number of challenge objectives you can chain together.
  14. There was a discussion on Discord with some overlap into the whole feedback vote/poll topic, just passing along my thoughts then: In my personal opinion, Mojang has really hurt its community through those mob votes. It sparks engagement because people are excited and the polls/posts get a ton of visibility with people campaigning for their favorite, but then when 60%+ of their audience ends up disappointed with the result it really undermines the fan<>studio relationship.
  15. oh @Nerdy_Mike Jim definitely needs snacks delivered to his place too - would really help with the creative process.
  16. I think development would go faster if Dakota had 5 monitors at this desk. That would really help with their productivity levels. Thanks for hearing out my suggestion.
  17. The forums are the best place for suggestions because, unlike Discord, threads are evergreen and not as transient as the quick casual conversations on Discord. It also means the added benefit of being able to directly link to the suggestion and its related conversation as opposed to a link to a Discord message or a screenshot.
  18. I'm adding a comment to the reddit thread and asking the moderators to pin it so it gets some amount of visibility. Appreciate ya working to keep people updated
  19. I know I'm immediately going back on my word here, but hopefully for good reason in y'all's eyes: Making the decision to take the direct action to roll everything in that thread back, unhiding all of the comments, and locking the post to avoid those discussion points spinning more out of control.
