Are you asking for a ship design you can use to retrieve the castaways? Or something else? A save file doesn't seem necessary, but if you did want to share it, you'd have to host it somewhere else and link to it in your post.

Welcome to our forum. Unfortunately, Imgur albums have never worked well here. How about posting them as individual pictures?

The same advice I give to every new player: 1). Start with the smallest rocket you can make, fly it, then add and remove stages and parts to see how it affects the ship, working your way up to large craft. 2). Test each stage in flight before adding the next stage to your design. And welcome to the forum.

The parts "come to rest"? So you are docking while landed? Sounds to me like the craft are not precisely aligned so that they are under tension when joined, which is then released when you undock.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't give you any modding recommendations, though. I don't use them.

This thing irritates the hell out of me because it is obviously wrong, but I can't pinpoint why it's wrong. Perhaps this? The hypothesis attempts to draw a conclusion from a sample, but the sample is not finalized in the sense that more items are still being added to the set and to the sample.

I stick 'em in a capsule with a cluster of SRBs under it, add a chute, then remove most of the fuel. It only goes up a few hundred meters, which is good enough for the in-flight contract.
