  1. Sounds great! And then maybe Squad can host the next update to KSP on a server you don't have access to?
  2. Well, I am still not sure how timewarp can be implemented in a way that makes sense. I was hoping someone could explain exactly how I can rendezvous and dock with a station while another player five minutes in the past is smashing it to bits by crashing his ship into it. To me, that seems enough reason to talk, rather than say "**** it! Whatever happens, however illogical, happens!"
  3. If you add mods, KSP will load them. You have to meet it halfway by bothering to install them.
  4. This is a view that I just cannot accept, given the different abilities of different pilot levels. If one pilot can push the "Prograde" button, any pilot can. It's not some great secret, requiring massive amounts of experience, to be able to push different Mode Select buttons.
  5. Because they seek answers. No, some of us are already aware of that impending destruction. We're just looking to entertain ourselves until 9:30 AM Tuesday, when the secret Ark Ships will evacuate us to... Excuse me, I have been informed by certain, uh, powers, that you did not read that, and there is, in fact, no impending doom arriving at noon on Tuesday. Please enjoy your extremely long lives without concern for the near future. But all of that is irrelevant as to why some people feel the need to add relationships between characters that their creator did not intend.
  6. Yes. But that's a different philosophical question.
  7. Why does one feel the need to make up relationships that have no reason for being between beings that don't exist?
  8. Because I've heard so many of the moon landing hoax believers () say that the landings were actually filmed at Area 51.
  9. Because it's not on the Mun. It's located on some sound stage in Nevada.
  10. I'd love to see the game start at a mid-late 1940's level. The beginning of the jet era, reaching higher and faster, rocket planes breaking the sound barrier, sounding rockets pushing towards space, huge runways marked on on dry lakebeds, and the Astronaut Complex replaced with Pancho Kerman's Happy Bottom Riding Club.
  11. A couple of co-workers told me about it. Played the demo. Played 0.15. Bought 0.16 when it was released. Go through phases of playing and not playing it.
  12. Then improve the thread by posting it.
  13. ... And you expected what, exactly, in a thread for disco?
  14. Three sepratrons around the capsule is my usual. If they aren't used for abort, they're braking rockets on the descent.
  15. So what is Squad used to be part of Squad but now Squad is Squad instead of Squad, and what was Squad is not-Squad?
  16. Any idea what sort of "things" you'd like to see? Are you looking for more realistic gameplay, more challenging, more sillyness, more science fiction, more parts? You can browse here: https://kerbalstuff.com/browse/top It will give you an idea of what's popular, or at least available.
  17. I wouldn't worry about it. Given the community here and the subject matter, it's going to get reposted every so often (Especially near the beginning of February). That other thread was by no means the first.
  18. Ah. You're looking at the "Manage Followed Content" page. I don't do it that way, so I didn't realize it at first. Try: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/discover/followed-content/ That should get you the list of threads you follow and the icons mentioned. The top bar of the forums has a tab for "Activity". When you select that, you'll see a "My Activity Streams" dropdown. Under that is a link to "Threads I Follow" that will take you to the link I posted.
  19. There's an icon just to the left of the thread title. If you've posted in the thread, it's a star. If you haven't, it's a circle. It takes you to the first unread post in the thread.
  20. Recently discussed here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/131209-a-pretty-in-depth-article-on-could-columbia-have-been-saved/
  21. It's really not that complicated. You're just getting confused because of the distortions caused by making a rectangular map of the world, instead of the proper circular disc shape centered at the north pole. See how it is on a real map? Obviously different wind conditions may push the flight on a more "northern" (actually "central") path.
  22. If the difference is between rockets and spaceplanes, I have to ask how the planes get to space in the first place. Well, I suppose they could just go ballistic on some really meaty jets, but then there's the problem of getting them stay in space.
