Depends on what a "bunch" is. You could get (Price of PC)/35 Raspberry Pis for the same price. So, if you get ((Price of PC)/35)-1 Raspberry Pis, it will be cheaper.

I have a sheet like this in a frame, somewhere. I think the frame is broken, though.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but you're saying that the cursor was visible in the livestream, and it shouldn't have been because someone should have been doing work on the computer used to display the graphics for the stream?
-
Computers have cursors? This is unexpected and/or noteworthy?

Achievements possibly coming to KSP
razark replied to Norpo's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Exactly. As the devs said: "As you might know the game already tracks your achievements internally and uses this data to do things such as selecting new contracts for you." This is nothing new. They're just exposing data already stored in the savefile about where you've been and what you've done. Furthermore, this isn't new. They've mentioned doing this before.- 29 replies

So what happened to the barn?
razark replied to John FX's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I seem to recall them saying at some point there was something in the works for Tier 0, but it wasn't the barn stuff they showed previously. -

The people on the ground did not know the vehicle was fatally damaged. Concerns were brought up and addressed. The crew was informed of what was happening. Even if the ground crew knew the shuttle would not survive re-entry, there would not have been a rescue mission launched. Too many unknowns were involved to risk sending up a second orbiter. Part of the problem with the imagery requests were that no one knew if they could get good imagery. The quality of the images capable was classified, and the people who needed to know didn't have the access. This was corrected later, along with the Technical Warrant Holders mentioned, although not all the engineers were "new". They were just aware of the technical aspects. Also, there were multiple requests for imagery sent to multiple people from multiple people. Different requests got crossed, and there was some confusion over which requests were being considered and which had already been rejected. There was no sudden blackout. The crew would have known something was happening, and the control stick was moved after the vehicle started to lose control. I know the engineers working the aftermath would have moments during their meetings along the lines of "At X time, the vehicle experienced a sudden left roll of Y degrees per second, which must be the time when the wing came off... my god, what the crew must have been going through at that time!" followed by moments of silence. The majority of re-entry and landing could have been done remotely. The undocking, lowering the landing gear, and opening the drag chute were not capable of being controlled remotely at the time of STS-107. Later, a cable was developed to add the functions, but the plan was most likely to ditch a damaged orbiter rather than possibly bring it in over populated areas.

All I'm saying is not to judge the whole of the work by simply reading the introduction to it. Actually listen to the story, then rip it apart, if deserved. You have no reason to say the the theater only showed the trailer if you leave before they play the movie, or that the prof. gave you nothing more than the syllabus if you refuse to go to the classes. TV: "Tonight's news: Moscow in flames, missiles headed for New York. Full story at 11:00." Me: "Well, that sucked. There was hardly any information in that news story."
-
But it's not an article. That's like saying that a trailer is the entirety of a movie or a syllabus handed out on the first day of class is the same as attending every lecture.
-
To all the people complaining about the quality of the article: Have you listened to the radio show portion? Have you realized the "article" is just an introduction for the radio portion?

(STAR WARS SPOILERS) Was anyone else a bit disappointed with Star Wars?
razark replied to SlabGizor117's topic in The Lounge
Seriously? If you go around grabbing people's hands that you just met, you're likely to get the same reaction. -
Well, there was the fact that they released two versions under the 1.0.5 number. Version numbers really are somewhat arbitrary. As long as each version has a unique identifier (ahem), there's nothing that stops them from numbering the next version KSP 1.1, KSP 1.337, KSP 2.7, KSP 1.Salmon, or KSP: Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

Self-imposed KSP rules. Things we do that make things more difficult.
razark replied to Tourist's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I start with three Pilots (Class). They fly the early missions. The roster rotates to maintain a mostly even level of flight experience. Once I unlock multi-crew capsules, I hire five more Pilots (Class). From this point on, each flight will have a Commander (Role), who must be a Pilot (Class) with at least one previous mission or Any (Class) with at least three previous missions. Each mission will also have a Pilot (Role), who is usually a Pilot (Class), but can also be Any (Class) if the Commander (Role) is a Pilot (Class). Flights deemed to be test flights of new technology must also carry an Engineer (Role) (who could also be a Scientist (Class), in certain cases). Any Space Station crews (which get rotated) must contain a Commander (Role) and an Engineer (Role and Class), in addition to any Scientists (Class). Larger stations may be required to staff more than one Engineer (Role and Class). The third group and beyond are a mixture of Pilots, Scientists, and Engineers (Classes). All are assigned a rank based on a random selection (1d4), with the first two groups given an extra bias (+2 and +1). After certain mission counts, promotions are assigned. If a Kerbal is promoted to a certain level, they are given a desk job and pulled from the rotation. Passengers in transit are not given mission credit for that flight. For example, a Station Crew will receive credit for their Station assignment, but not for their launch and return flights, but the flight crew that performs the crew lift/return will get credit. In addition, aborted flights do not count for mission credit, and will likely land the crew (or at least the Commander (Role)) at the back of the rotation schedule. However, a crew that manages to pull off some sort of contingency mission (Science observations in Kerbin orbit after failing to reach the Mun, for example) will avoid the negative consequences. -
Unlike most people, I have no problem with KSP 1.337 I just seriously doubt that there will be 336 more revisions after 1.1 is released.

I had a similar experience. I learned how to do things manually. Then I found MechJeb, and started using it for a few things that I couldn't manage, like landing a tall rocket on the Mun, or pinpoint landings at the KSC. The I started using it for more and more. My launches, orbital maneuvers, landings, etc. And then I realized I wasn't having fun with it. I dropped it and went back to playing the game myself, and I've had much more fun. (And every so often, I think... maybe I should just install it and only use it for launches. It does get kind of boring doing the same ascent to orbit for the twentieth time.)

So, what if boosters 1 and 2 each drained into both 3 and 4, which then fed into the core? Of course, it would complicate the plumbing and double the pumps (would it? Can the one pump feed two different fuel lines?) so I don't see it happening.
