  1. Sadly, yes. And Squad has a long history of following that track. Of course, I'm still of the opinion that people need to get over the fact that sometimes plans fail or change. (And as for 4, not everyone would be happy. There's a decent number of anti-MP folks about.)
  2. Indeed. @SQUAD: Can you end this and just answer the damn question already? Is multiplayer still a planned feature?
  3. So, it's calling out to Steam tracking and Unity? It doesn't even try to contact TakeTwo?
  4. Doesn't the longer barrel allow for more complete combustion, thus greater speed, and therefore greater accuracy?
  5. Among all the different mods, this and Chatterer are two that I can't do without. Even though they really add nothing to gameplay, they are unparalleled in adding the immersion that makes KSP such a great experience. Final Frontier gives the Kerbals individuality. They're no longer simply interchangeable parts, but take on a life of their own far more than a few experience points and simple level-based abilities could ever provide.
  6. Robot arms are awesome! Some questions, though: Is this going to be a single part arm, or a collection of parts that can be built into an arm? And will it be self-contained in MOLE, or require additional mod support? What, exactly, does the "programmable" mean? Edit: Yeah, I should have watched the video first. It answered most of my questions.
  7. When it starts to bother me, I'll shave. Pretty much the same approach I take to haircuts.
  8. Why should we listen to you? You're probably on the take, getting paid off by Squad!
  9. This is the internet. You simply can't respond to unwarranted demands with such craziness as facts and logic. It's just simply not done.
  10. I haven't released any mods. I do tend to make my own changes to the game and mods to set things up my own way.
  11. The game has been around a long time. I have released exactly 0 mods, but I don't see what that has to do with anything.
  12. Yeah. You realize I _first_ started KSP almost six years ago, right?
  13. I guess I'm not so good at counting...
  14. My sister had one of those. My set was this thing:
  15. It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of Victory Mansions, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him. The hallway smelt of boiled cabbage and old rag mats. At one end of it a coloured poster, too large for indoor display, had been tacked to the wall. It depicted simply an enormous face, more than a metre wide: the face of a man of about forty-five, with a heavy black moustache and ruggedly handsome features. Winston made for the stairs. It was no use trying the lift. Even at the best of times it was seldom working, and at present the electric current was cut off during daylight hours. It was part of the economy drive in preparation for Hate Week. The flat was seven flights up, and Winston, who was thirty-nine and had a varicose ulcer above his right ankle, went slowly, resting several times on the way. On each landing, opposite the lift-shaft, the poster with the enormous face gazed from the wall. It was one of those pictures which are so contrived that the eyes follow you about when you move. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU, the caption beneath it ran.
  16. Ah. That does sound familiar. It makes sense that (certain) older weapons fall under different rules.
  17. A what now? I don't know that terminology. If you don't mind, I'll apply that to the whole conversation. I appreciate a civil discourse. Different views can disagree without resorting to extremes. I've had a lot of good discussions with people of different upbringings. I've found that people with similar childhoods can end up with wildly different lives, and people with extremely differnet backgrounds end up very close.
  18. I can understand carrying one and having one easily available in the home. The sheer quantity stashed around the home just seems a little bit paranoid to me. I'm sorry, but there's only so many weapons that two hands can handle at a time. Of course, I also understand the appeal of collecting some of them. I'm particularly a fan of the M1911, M1, and M1 carbine for historical reasons, and I wouldn't pass up a Luger, either. But I've known a number of folks who owned guns that they would never use, and it just seems a little strange to me. I can't articulate exactly why, but it just looks a bit ugly to me. (And, again, I'm not wanting to start an argument with anyone. I'm just trying to understand the mindset of people different from me.)
  19. I'm curious as to why? Did he think there was a reason he would need them, or did he just like to have/collect them? Edit: Honestly, I'm not trying to express a judgement here. I can see both sides of the argument that often follows. I am sincerely curious.
  20. When I was a kid, video game updates didn't result in everyone completely losing their crap over minutiae. Wow. That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. There was hardly a page of that thing that wasn't marked by highlighter when I was done.
  21. If you read my later comment, I did the same and noted the same results. This is true. I was merely trying to address concerns, not to throw accusations.
