It's not a Gemini-only piece of tech, either. See: http://www.collectspace.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/001149.html

Because random players who only want to play the game make for bad testers? Edit: Think of it this way: Why do companies have paid testing staff, if they could get a bunch of random people to do it for free? Testing, repeatedly testing, writing reports of testing, testing the same thing over and over again, writing more reports. There's a reason it's a job.

[1.12.x] Kerbal Launch Failure Revived
razark replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It gives you an increased chance of failure for parts from "Test this part" contracts. -
I have that set. The Saturn V and CSM are on my dresser, and the LM is on top of my computer at work. The rover fell victim to the monsters that have been the bane of many of my Lego sets, my children.

There was a guy where I work that used to tell passing tourists that the moon landings were faked. Now his coworkers won't let him roll down the windows. (And I really miss rolling down the windows.)

I have Story Mode. Final Frontier mod, my own tracking application, and some manually-operated digital random number generators. Each game, the story's a little different. After all, who wants to play the same story every time?

Woo hoo for whatever it is we celebrate on the fourth.

'Murican fact: Today is the last day some 'Muricans will be able to count to ten.

or ? Because those are two very different things...

Meh. People will sell anything. People will buy anything. Stupid companies are as common as stupid consumers. Does it really mean anything?

It's almost as though not everything Squad says should be taken as a guarantee. No wonder they refuse to even mention possible release dates 99% of the time. (Although, @SQUAD, it's probably time to come up with a new (realistic) estimate, since y'all screwed the pooch and gave an estimate on this in the first place.)

Heh. I am amused. I know how I'm spending my lunch tomorrow.

Some random stuff that I need.
razark replied to AR3S_TGL's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Silane powered rockets/jets have been proposed for Martian craft, since silane will "burn" in CO2. -
Hint to the last three posters: You images aren't showing up.
-
However, the voice of the forum screams obscenities if Squad misses a date.
-
Well, I tried. It didn't work out so well.

There are three Saturn Vs on display. The one at Marshall Space Flight Center is made of test articles not meant for flight. The one at Kennedy Space Center is made from flight hardware upper stages, but a test article first stage. The one we have here at Johnson Space Center is built entirely from flight hardware (although the parts are from three different Saturn Vs).

Why is there no option for "Attempt to figure out the cause of the crash and repair it before restarting"?
-
Sorry. We left our only working one out in the front yard for a couple of decades, and it got a mite bit run down in this humidity. We had it repainted, but it's really a bit much for us to get it working again, but I'll ask some of the folks at the office if they can dig up a copy of the plans.

What sort of music do you guys listen to while playing KSP?
razark replied to WindShieIds's topic in The Lounge
For something completely different, John Philip Sousa: -
No.

Do you realize how insanely boring a software testing report can be?
-
Then don't read it. There have been periods where PC users said the same thing. It's just the way it is sometimes.
