  2. Although....a blimp full of air really wouldn't get very far...
  3. ITS STILL STUCK! https://apnews.com/article/48f856c9afed58feb908878c2a495287
  4. ITS NOT STUCK! Stranded Suez container ship reported freed https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-56559904 Well.... this was a short lived thread.
  5. The stuff about a boat wedged in a lake somewhere has been split off. Congratulations thread, it’s a little baby thread!
  6. This thread has been split off from the “Doesn’t merit it’s own thread”....... thread.
  7. Well, with neither KSP2 nor RSS for KSP2 having been released yet, we'll just have to wait and see.
  8. In the options menu there is a setting to Enable Advanced Tweakables. Enable this. It's one of those settings that really shouldn't be a setting, and should be enabled by default. Their basically a form of reinforcing your craft. Others will be along to describe their usage in more detail, but go ahead and play with them for now, they're fairly user friendly. Just right click a part and select autostrut for that part in the PAW. Be aware though, if you have a vessel that you intend to dock, and it has a "Heaviest Part" autostrut, it might invoke a Kraken attack after docking, as the autostrut jumps from one part to another. It's usually not a major deal, but something to be aware of.
  9. Moved to Gameplay Questions. This is a common occurrence in KSP. The best solution is usually to send up a rescue mission.
  10. Best thing to do is to try it and find out. Then report back.
  11. @OnC, Your multiple threads have been merged and moved to Mission Reports.

Ahh... I miss that comic. I started reading it a few days after getting the game, and it taught me how to Kerbal.
  13. Moved to Add-On Discussion. Mods are not some retail software package that have a funded staff and such. They are user contributed add-ons to the game itself. A lot of them build on the work of others, and will not function at all without other mods installed. It would be pointless to have each mod author re-invent the wheel with each new mod. There is to be expected bumps and hurdles when you start installing multiple software packages from different authors that may or may not have coordinated their efforts. When you start to mod the game, with more mods and more complex mods, you have to expect some tweaking and bug hunting is required. So it comes down to what balance you prefer. Do you want the cutting edge tweaked out game that may or may not require fiddling to get it to run, or do you want a 'simple' game with some minor tweaks that boots up every time? Why does this bother you? Mods are not released on the same schedule as the base game. Some mods, as mentioned, are huge packages that required a lot of work from the author to make them compatible with the game. When the game goes through a major update, and changes how the mod interacts with the base software, you can't expect mods to either work or be instantly updated. Modders write mods in their own time, and sometimes real life gets in the way and they can't touch the mod for a little while. It's not uncommon for some mods to be a version or two behind.
  14. Ahem..... @Just Jim has hit another landmark I see.
  15. More are born every day, it just takes time for them to make their mark on the world. RIP Beverly
  16. Considering how much we feed them on long term missions, this make sense.
  17. And we have received word that this method, since this is a Steam thing and not SQUAD, and you must own a copy of the game for this to work, is fine to use. @4x4cheesecake just made a really good post on how to use this: Please direct questions on this method to that thread.
  18. Uhhhhhhh...... yeah. https://www.google.com/search?q=lathe+pronunciation
  19. We already have a pretty sizable thread on this topic, although IIRC, it's been thoroughly debunked. We won't merge them as that thread isn't very recent, and yours has a poll.
  20. That then comes down to your design and lifter. You don't have to weld the entire craft into one piece. The idea is that you take a bunch of the structural pieces and weld those. So you turn a 50 piece station module, and knock it down to 20, or 30, or whatever. Being able to knock 30% of your part count down can go a long way when the 'raw' design could be hundreds to thousands of parts.
