  2. Steam access wasn't introduced to KSP until ~.21 ish. Unless you already own a copy of a game version from between ~.13 and 1.0, it is illegal to obtain one. On both the KSP store and Steam, Squad maintains the most stable release of (almost?) each major update from 1.x on, so you can get those. Read through this thread, and some of the threads it links, to find more info.
  3. Until you've played with one of the mods, don't knock it. It's excellent for building large structural style pieces, such as trusses or wings. Parts that do stuff, like ailerons, shouldn't be welded, as they need to operate independently and welding more than one part with an action to a group of other parts can do weird things to the resulting single piece. But if you're like me and enjoy building large complex stations, then being able to reduce your part count by a significant amount is a definite plus. I've got a dozen truss pieces, a half dozen batteries, etc etc, weld those suckers together. It does have it's drawbacks, but when you learn to work around them, it's a great feature. Reducing the strain on older CPU's is a major plus. When you have a bunch of parts that really shouldn't have physics calculations be done between them, that's where welding really shines.
  4. I mean, yeah I guess it depends on what language your speaking. Drehbank just doesn’t seem to fit, does it? But, in English, if I was to try teach somebody how to pronounce Lathe correctly, I would write it out LAY-THE. I just don’t see how the moon could be pronounced any other way. Edit: Oh I see what you did there.
  5. I’m going to start an online occult bookstore and call it damnazon.com.
  6. Ehhh. That’s not really what they mean. I use Konstruction religiously in my station builds, being able to remove the docking ports from the station is awesome, but it’s not the same as being able to send the entire module to the station as one giant part.
  7. Now that you mention it, I’ve lost a probe or two due to my approach path ending up in the shadow for much longer than expected.
  8. Thread moved to suggestions. I have used a couple welding mods in the past, but like most mods, the modders tend to drift away from the game, and the mods lose functionality. Some of those older welding mods might still work though. Can only try and find out. if they don’t, some of our modders here got their start modding from seeing a mod they want made or updated, and learned to mod As for stock, I don’t know what’s on the dev team’s schedule, but I don’t think part welding is high up there, although it might be getting there.
  9. As this post is not about...... anything really... and seems to be a test post, it has been merged into the test thread.
  10. The "demo" version was discontinued years ago. It was version 0.18 IIRC. Very few mods made in the last five years will work on it. Take a look at this thread, and see if you can find mods that might still work on that version... but your best bet is to look into purchasing the game.
  11. I fixed your post so it doesn't break the forums, and merged it into this thread. Nice landing!
  12. @Mantirs, The thread you posted this in was very specific to a user messing up an install in a very unique way. I doubt you did the same. Could you elaborate on what your issue is so we can help out?
  13. Banned for making me go back and figure out who's raising the dead. Also banned for changing their avatar too often.
  14. @Harald Kerbal your thread has been moved to the Lounge, as it doesn't pertain directly to the forums.
  15. And until shown otherwise that this is a technical issue, we'll bum this over to Gameplay Questions.
  16. 99.99% of all flippy rockets are caused by Heavy bottom / draggy up top rockets, which @InfernoSDshowed how to remedy. Without pictures, or at least a craft file or description of all the parts used, we cannot diagnose the rocket, and therefore rule out design errors, before we move onto other more obscure issues.
  17. Well then... I was too... I started on .17 myself. Just log into your KSP store account (you might have to go through the lost password schtick) and then just download the latest version. Don't even bother updating. You'll have to download like 24 patchers to get that to happen, even if you can update. So just get the latest and greatest 1.11.2, and install that fresh.
  18. You're telling me! I don't even contribute much on here. Welcome to the gang!
