KSP in it’s simplest form is about taking a complex subject and stripping away the fluff that makes it complicated, leaving just the basic core principles of the subject. Rocket Fuel? Sure, ok, we’ll have some generic Liquid Fuel and generic Oxidizer. No need for pressurization gases, ullage fuels, or all that other jazz. Orbital mechanics? Of course we can do that, but we’ll get rid of the n-body riffraff to make it easier to understand and to compute. ISRU? Heck yeah, but you only get one resource to utilize in situ, and that baby makes everything. If LS is ever included in the stock game, and it will have to be a user option at that, it must conform to this simplistic ethos that makes KSP great. Single resource, resource consumption, resource storage, resource generation. That’s it. And as mentioned, there’s already a mod that does exactly that, and if anything gets incorporated into stock, it should be @Angel-125’s Snacks.

Well in the meantime, we’ll move this thread over to the network, as it’s about the forums and not the game.

extra " tab" on the ksp 2 forums. suggestion
Gargamel replied to jastrone's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
This is it in a nutshell for now. There’s no game to ask for help on, there’s no crafts to share, no challenges to post as we don’t know what will be trivial and what will be difficult. When the time comes, and this is just my guess, this forum will become the KSP2 general discussion sub forum, and we’ll get a number of branches similar to what we already have for KSP1. But that’s some time off, and it may change. We’ll see. But for now, we’re just going to keep all the hype and speculation in one little corner. -
It seems like all of them

Just picked up a crock pot cookbook and another one by that angry chef guy, the cool one. Anyways, I realized how much I missed real books, and I’ll post up any of the recipes that are really good.

Bad science in fiction Hall of Shame

I highly doubt it, unless they are planning to do a version of “Waiting for Godot” in space. -
Purchase question.
Gargamel replied to Brainiac515's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Have you actually purchased the game multiple times or have you just downloaded it multiple times? I’ve used the store version since 2012 and once I log into my account there I can down load the version of my choice. Yes, there is an updater/patcher to span versions too. -
Purchase question.

Did you read the voted answer above? Or are you asking about another issue not related to the problem described in your thread? -

Launch Escape system file mod
Gargamel replied to sibaar's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I've never seen this. The LES is plenty strong enough to get the 3 person capsule well clear of the rocket. Don't try jettisoning your entire upper stage, but only your command pod and the parachutes. It does impart some spin, and yeah I wouldn't want to be on it, but you're really not looking for a "controllable" launch abort, you're just looking to get as far away from the booster as quickly as you can, and then pop the chutes. Tumble or spin doesn't matter at that point.- 5 replies

Engine plates are a relatively new addition to the game, and yes, we added oodles of engines without them. Plates just make it cleaner. -
Rhinoblasty should be the technical term for blowing your nose

Really doesn’t matter if you hate them, in the current versions of KSP, they’re what works. Now, if you’re refusing to use them, for some odd reason, then we’ll help you design around that. Sounds like you need some asparagus -
Considering the life cycle of an atom of iron, telling the invisible steel splinter that is currently plaguing my finger to “go back to the hell whence you came from” is not completely uncalled for.

Bad science in fiction Hall of Shame
Gargamel replied to peadar1987's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yeah.... after finishing it.... it was pretty bland.... A lot of the plot could have gone another route... I could have done without the trip to the other station, at least just show them traveling and get it over with. And the Earth like undiscovered moon around Jupiter? C'mon.... even Galileo would have found that one. And if it was there... the radiation belts that close in would have fried anything there. -
Looks like you should ask in the thread ....

Can my Engineer do this?
Gargamel replied to Primal68's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Primal68, The formatting on the post has been fixed to be readable, and the question has been moved to gameplay questions. Welcome to the forums! To answer the question, it depends on the mission requirements. Create a savepoint and try both options.
