  1. Sure is! Really starting to think it's not temp related then. Take a look at your Vcard temps though at shutdown. But at this point, if it's capable of supporting the upgraded hardware, I'd re-attach the old PSU and see if you're still getting shutdowns. You're not getting any warnings or anything, just a hard shutdown? Does it reboot normally or does it require a button push?
  2. The point of thermal shutdown is to protect the chip from thermal damage, so it should shut down the machine before any damage can be done in the short term. Running hot for long periods of time though can cause damage though. I would try to recreate the instance it shuts down by playing again with the software logging the temps. This way we can figure out if it is an overtemp situation or not. One other thing to look at is if you are running anything else in the background that may be causing the CPU to spike in usage. In my case I found that BOINC was causing a lot of CPU usage, and causing it to run hot. But it may not be an overtemp situation at all. Double check all your connections from the PSU. A loose wire might be causing this. Or even since it's new, a bum PSU might be causing it to quit.
  3. Alt-X to clear trim. You might have accidentally set your trim.
  4. In my experience, computer shutdowns are due to CPU over temp, which makes sense since KSP is a CPU dependent game, rather than GPU. What are your CPU temps? I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600 myself, and I've noticed it tends to run hot. Not shutdown hot, but "hey, that's too hot" hot.
  5. Good luck with that! Stick with it, you'll regret not finishing. Call your local council and get a list of local troops, and give some of the scoutmasters a call. Treat this like a job interview (you're the interviewer!) and find the troop that fits you best. It'll be a bit difficult moving into a troop you don't know, but having been around the council for a bit, you probably know more of the guys in the troop you choose than you would expect.
  6. A number of overlapping threads have been merged.
  7. Yes, it was a tongue in cheek sarcastic comment about how hard MP is to work out.
  8. I only regret that I have but one like to give for this comment. Welcome aboard Jim!
  9. Well, They claim to be including working MP, so I can only assume that relativistic physics would be child's play for them.
  10. Typically Console updates seem to happen 12-18 months behind the PC releases, but it varies. I'm guessing this is due to confirming that a PC release is stable, and then they have to ship it off to an outside studio to do the port to console, and that takes time. So the bottom line is, we don't recommend you hold your breath.
  11. Crossposted threads have been merged and moved to tech support. Yes, reinstall if you have a manual download from the store, backup your saves first. If you have Steam, verify your file integrity. Otherwise, if that doesn't work, we don't have much to go on:
  12. And then to find out the changes you made make it fail on descent. And then you realize your decision to do it in one launch from Kerbin might have been a bad choice.
  13. As this thread hasn't turned out to be about KSP, it's been moved to the lounge.
  14. Hey @Lars_vS, sorry to hear you're having issues with the game. Although you did paste the log file in a way that was pretty compact and easy to read on PC, which most of us appreciate, not all devices render the forums the same way, and it's known that large log files like that can cause issues for some users. So we ask you host the log file on a site like dropbox or google drive and post the link here. Thanks!
  15. That's exactly what I did for the first time, last night. It's pretty simple, and if you're not getting into anything fancy and just want to record a bit of footage, it's your easiest solution without having to install anything else.
  16. Same here. Been through it myself. We're here for you!
  17. Since I'm guessing this is about a mod, I'm moving this to add-on discussions.
  18. Broken wheels are missing tread. That's not broken. It's BROKEN.
  19. Better question is, how much Free Ram do you have before starting KSP? 8gb is doable for KSP, but if you have a bunch of stuff running in the background, you might be tight on that budget. Edit: And I'm 99% sure that the log that is now hosted is different than one I looked at earlier. It seemed you were running out of Ram in the previous log. In this one, the launcher seems to be throwing errors. Don't use the launcher, just run the game directly from the KSP_x64.exe file. The launcher hasn't worked for years. Edit 2: Nope, just the funky way you bundled all those log files. You have multiple copies of log files in there.
