I think that was more an issue of it still being in alpha, and the memory limit, not the 32 bit issue per se. And back in the day, 64 bit KSP was unplayable, it crashed, if it even booted up, a lot more than the 32 bit version did.

I don't understand your question. When I mentioned getting the modders to adopt a tagging system, it was a completely unrelated endeavor. We were trying to standardize the way the threads were tagged in the mod release forums so it would make searching for them easier, and people like the idea, but nobody really followed through on it, and we couldn't enforce it even if they had. I see a similar situation with this idea. It's a good system, but getting everybody to follow it, even people who don't even know about it, will be a fruitless task.

Normally, we frown upon discussing moderation in public, but this move might need a little explanation, and there might be more than you wondering why I did that. Having a rigid designation system for types of craft really only applies to those who are willing to share those crafts with others, so they can easily see what type of craft they are dealing with, and since all traffic relating to sharing crafts goes into Spacecraft Exchange, that's where I put this. This cannot apply to other types of users, as this is a single player game, and since there's no way I'm going to name my ships the way somebody else tells me to, I cannot expect it to apply to others as well. If you'd like to discuss it further, by all means, drop me a PM and we can talk. If you can get the community behind you in using a designated naming system for craft, more power to you. But I know the mods will not police this, as mentioned, it is a single player game, and we cannot expect everybody, especially new people, to adhere to an arbitrary classification system. It's a noble effort, and I applaud you for trying. But with my experience in trying to get the modding community to just tag their threads from a set list of categories, I know this won't get much traction. It seems like a decent system, but getting everybody to adhere to it when there is little benefit to majority of players, is a lofty goal. I personally don't usually number my craft, I give them odd names, so a year later, I have no idea what the craft is intended to do. Perhaps I should use a system like this, but I'm not, because that's not how I enjoy playing the game.

Opening craft files on different versions
Gargamel replied to Ivan Cheung's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Do what most of us do. Keep your stable 1.4 version in one directory, but then install the latest version in another. This way you can have your cake and eat it too. And if you then find a craft you must have in your earlier version, you can do the above methods to move it between versions. -
Fuel in service bay not connecting
Gargamel replied to schwank's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Moved to Tech Support, as this is not a suggestion. We're going to need more info, pics, designs, logs, etc. Your question is kind of vague. -
Hmmm.... try edge or chrome? I'm using FF and W10 too....

For me, it always pastes as a link, then the forum software WYSIWYG Editor parses and loads the pic. That can take a moment sometimes. Testing: Works for me

I've found with my heavy (100+ ton) Eve rover that I release the trailing shield after a bit of tumbling won't kill me, and drogue chutes will help keep the rover aligned. That shield will fly away behind you so that it doesn't cause a problem. I usually wait to release the other shield after my main chutes have opened up, and the craft is slow enough the shield will fall away from me. The odd aero of the shield should cause it to drift a bit to the side as it falls, so I shouldn't land on it.

I can't say @guesswho2778, as I don't know what it was like before, but I'm hooked now. I haven't touched KSP (gasp!) since I started playing ONI a week or so ago. In this playthrough, I'm keeping my base fairly cool by having two semi automated ice baths. Then I pump water and air through there to cool the base. So I'm keeping the base fairly temperate, and my greenhouses at the right temp, so I have plenty of food. And I've been digging tunnels for exploration, so I've been also able to the trickier plants to keep alive inside a base. And most of the dupes are reasonably happy, but I have a couple sour apples. My biggest issue is water. I have plenty of reservoirs, but little means to manage it. I initially designed a pretty spiffy water filtration plant, but it just can't handle the volume I'm trying to put through it right now. I really wish they would include larger diameter pipes so that I can flow waste water back at a higher rate. And my base isn't big enough to setup separate filtration sites yet. wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Well, damn. That was me trying to scroll back up through the thread using the w key instead of the up arrow. ONI is growing on me LOL.

It's an even 50,000.... how much more perfection does your OCD need? And no, I tried it once, not gonna try again It's far easier to just ignore what I don't care to read. I have my 'business' account which deals mainly with the online vendors I deal with, that's the one with the most emails, and so it's ended up on many many peoples mailing lists. But unlike junk snail mail, I have no mind letting it pile up, occasionally I will find a good deal in one of the emails. And since I've done business with those companies, I don't mind the mail at all. Now if it's unsolicited junk mail, then that goes straight to the spam bin. Then on top of that email, there's the email I use for gaming sites (like this one), my personal Email address, the one I used for moving money around offshore when I was playing a lot of poker, and a couple other email addys I've used for a couple etsy style craft businesses I've run. So yeah, it tends to build up, but to which email account it gets sent to tells my how important it really is. I went from like 20k to 50k in the last 3-4 years? (Maybe longer) But I do know it's accelerating. So tell your mum I'm coming for her -
And then we have tech support and add-ons forums for any help you might need beyond that.

Pretty much this. Years ago, I did mark all as read, and then it turned out it only marked the first few hundred as read, and had to load the next few hundred from the server. And the web portal for the biggest offender does the same, so it's not worth the hassle to me. -
