How can I see unread posts but exclude the new KSP2 forums?
Gargamel replied to tg626's topic in Kerbal Network
I have no idea what you’re asking, but this is about the forums and not either game, so it is moved to the network. -

Why are all the Near Future mods no longer carpetable in CKAN?
Gargamel replied to RaBDawG's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Moved to mod discussion. @RaBDawG carpetable? I’m not sure what you mean there. -
Next time you guys post an update, if you don’t want @X606 to be the maintainer of the thread, and would like to start a new thread, do these steps: 1) Post the new thread for the mod, with current release info. 2) Immediately have that person post in this thread that they have taken over ownership of the thread. -thread not mod (there’s potential license issues if you say mod)- and post a redirect link to the new thread at the end of this thread. 3) @X606 , and by policy only them, should report this thread and ask for it to be locked. These steps will transfer ownership to the new poster. Normally we’d just wait for your next update to do this, but since I’m the one that forced you to merge without giving you the transfer option, I can go back and undo the merge manually. This one time That would give @cheese3660ownership of the new thread again, but I still need @X606to request a lock. EDIT: and then each time after when you post an update, edit the first post to reflect the intended changes, and add a post at the end to signify an update.

Can someone explain this bug (KSC follows ship into space)
Gargamel replied to Tyr Anasazi's topic in v0.1.2
Moved to bug reports -
There’s your answer Sym. For over a decade we’ve hosted the mods offsite, but the main repository and discussion was here on the forums. The forums aren’t going anywhere, but, there’s been at least 3 major mod hosting sites, and with the forum threads, some of those mods might have been lost. Trying to keep the discussion to one location helps keep the community from fracturing.

Yes, or any other hosting site that will allow you to link to the png / jpg/ raw or what ever file. As this is about the forums, it has been moved to the Network.
-
The standard procedure is to update the original thread. We really don’t allow multiple threads on the same topic. @X606will have to update the OP.
-
Overlapping threads have been merged.

After 50 hours played, I've decided the game is currently unplayable
Gargamel replied to twich22's topic in KSP2 Discussion
From what I’ve seen in this thread, most everybody is trying to be helpful and encouraging, but maybe in a unconventional manner. Before anybody reacts negatively to a post, try to imagine them writing it in a non confrontational manner, and perhaps some sarcasm or some other such unwritten visual communication technique got lost in the internet. -
No, in this case there isn’t a good way to do this. The “best” way to do this is to report the thread, and in the description give us a link to where it should go. The report button on each post (found under the “…” in the upper right of each post) acts as a bug/ticket tracker on its on. It allows the moderators to track issues on the forum. For Pete’s sake, please don’t mistake the report button for the game bug tracker. The downside of this is that it creates a fairly large burden of housekeeping work for the moderator staff. But this is the only real option so….. Posting in the thread itself and pinging the moderators will do the job, but only if you ping the moderators that are actually online. And then after the merge, that post looks ugly and adds confusion, since the link is now self referential. And if you only post the link, the mods will never see it, as we’re rarely trolling though individual tech support / bug threads. And please don’t pm us to move/merge. If you can take the time to PM, you can report. It’s nearly identical. Due to the number of PM’s I’ve been getting from this, I’ve been merely reply “please report the thread”. If the person you PM’d just went on vacation for three weeks, nobody will ever see that pm. So, until further notice (like PD implementing a public facing bug tracker) the best option is to report the post, all the mods online see that and will get to it when they can.

Yea yes, I see now. Moved to big reports. Thanks!
-
Instead of listing all the moderators, just report the post with the link you’re recommending. I don’t know which thread that is. Thank you.

That sounds more like a feature than a bug.
