  1. There was a BP memo about 10 years ago, once hosted on their main website, since removed about 5 years ago (and Yes, I personally saw it), that estimated that there was about 40 years worth of easily obtainable (including fracking) petroleum still available to us. Once that supply is gone, the cost of oil will skyrocket as the extraction costs also skyrocket. So even if you don't believe in the anthropomorphic effect on the climate through the burning of fossil fuels, then at the very least let's try to get our infrastructure in place to avoid that price crunch. There's a lot of stuff made from oil, just not fuel, and it'd be nice if we can keep oil cheap enough to not bring around the fall of civilization. The market crash in '08 caused oil futures to plummet, just about halving prices, and they continued on a downward trend until the pandemic hit, which caused a huge drop, then spike due to supply chain. https://www.macrotrends.net/1369/crude-oil-price-history-chart
  2. Overlapping hyped up threads have been hyped merged.
  3. No No, there must be some mistake…. This just can’t be! Grats!
  4. Didn't know this. Very cool. Acccshuully.... we have a rule against no roleplaying on the forums. It led to enough problems in the past that it was outlawed.
  5. Considering I was one of those that bought the game early enough to get the expansions free, I can guarantee you that wasn't the case.
  6. This is still true for me. They kept the most stable version of each “cycle”, 1.05, 1.3.1, etc available for download. So while you can go all the way back to 1.0, only specific versions of 1.0 are available. Moved to Kerbal Network, as it’s not about the game, but the website.
  7. Moved to Gameplay Questions. I happen to like using the Final Frontier mod to help my greenies level up. gives them more to look forward to beyond a couple stars.
  8. Moved to Mission Reports, a whole sub forum where players get to retell their favorite missions!
  9. If you’d like to discuss the topic of a thread, please take it to that topic, this is not the place for that. If you are currently unable to do so, well you’re out of luck then. If you have issues, good or bad, with moderators actions, please contact us in a PM to discuss the issue. Please stay on the topic of this thread. Some content has been removed.
  10. Any particular reason you want to close it? Why not leave it open for more quotes?
  11. “This is too complicated for me to understand” Please include an English translation outside of the international section. Google translate will suffice. 请在国际部分之外附上英文翻译。 谷歌翻译就足够了。
  12. “This MOD is very good, but the included engine is too ugly. In addition, adjusting scaling is not supported. Both MODs are very good, but I chose the latter because the engine is really ugly. I use the translation application to communicate with you. Sometimes translation errors occur in the application. I hope you understand.” @chankloong please include an English translation for posts outside the international section. Something like Google translate would suffice. Even if there are errors, it’ll get you close enough.
  13. I’m still complaining about your name change…..
  14. While asking permission is good etiquette, the only real indicator for forking a mod is the license. Even if you get permission, a license that doesn’t allow it means you can’t alter the mod and release it. Personal use is free game.
  15. It’s PC. I believe it runs through the standard Logitech proprietary dongle, so I have no idea about other platforms.
  16. Words that have that dotted underline have a special mouse over feature enabled. Place your mouse over the word and the definition will come up. In this case, it means Original Poster, or Original Post, meaning the first person to post in thread, or the first post of a thread. We have quite a few acronyms that are frequently used on the forums and most of them have this feature.
  17. I can't speak for the mic, as I really haven't used it much, but the logitech G33 is really nice. True over the ear (Not on the ear), good sound quality, wireless, stowable flexible boom mic, and it comes with a long enough cord that when you do run low on charge, it's not very cumbersome to charge and use at the same time.
  18. I can already hear the uproar when they find a rock from 7 years ago that wasn't known about till now, compared to an airliner that they've been actively searching for for years.
  19. Do you mean in the KSP2 Knowledge Repository, or the KSP1 mod? I've merged your post in the appropriate thread which you have already found. Please don't crosspost the same question in random locations, it only causes confusion.
  20. Let’s stay on the original topic please, which is bypassing the launcher, not about mods. Thank you.
