Wut? Explain please The “problem” with “The Expanse” is that they took Hard Sci Fi and went way beyond it. Most of the true hard sci-fi stuff wouldn’t actually work when you sit down and crunch the numbers, at least not in the way they showed it. And then they have a magic molecule that does so many different things. And not once, not once, did I question any of it. Those two writers found the magic path right in between real science and outlandish bafoonery and walked right down the middle of it. Superbly done. And you’re going to be hard pressed to find another show / book that finds that perfect balance between realism and fiction.

I think I’ll pick up doctor sleep on audio book. Just finished Dune Messiah, good series so far. Been on a John Scalzi kick the last 6 months, finishing up both of his longer series, jumping back and forth as the library loans them to me. Picked up his “Kaiju Preservation Society” on Wednesday, and was done with it by the next day. Short at ~270 pages, but a delightfully fantastic fun romp. Think Godzilla meets Avatar meets Warehouse 13.

When I asked the same question about my proposed Houston, Marshall, KSC, road trip, the response was overwhelmingly positive. I had budgeted about a half day. The you tube channel Smarter Everyday has some videos from there as they live in the area. Supposedly it’s the only place you can see a Saturn V stacked.

Pretty sure it was @Just Jimin Emiko that had a super grand tour contract, where he had to take a tourist to every celestial body and land. Might have been another comic we have here. I have also seen on here retrograde solar orbits inside Moho iirc. Apparently it required a few gravity assists from Jool to be reasonable.

While you joke... one kid's mom decided this was an appropiate movie for an 11 year old's sleep over birthday party. We loved it at the time, but man, looking back on it.... It once held the record for the most violent movie produced. Great movie. Still is. Goonies. And Serenity.

Kenobi really didn't need to be made. Maybe it did, I dunno. It was well made, not campy, good acting, but at the end.... I was just left empty. We really don't need a Vader series. We really don't. We know almost his entire story already.

I've had an ...... docking with emphasis event once while attempting to launch to rendezvous. Plus another orbital close call. Of course, the plural of anecdote isn't data. If collisions are possible, having some sort of automated alarm wouldn't be a bad idea, though.

I only saw the first few minutes of the latest season, but that montage of history to catch up to the beginning of the episode was pretty well done.

Again, I'll say we need more info.... in particular, the logs. Please host them on an outside site and link them here. At least, if getting the logs is a little confusing, you can start by disabling half your mods, and see if it works or not. Then disable half of the half that doesn't work, and so on until you narrow down the culprit.
