This weekend my girlfriend woke me up, because I woke her up by repeatedly clenching my muscles. As far as I know, this has never happened to me. The dream I was having was like a horror story and the killer was coming after me and my child (I don't have kids IRL) and I got a hold of a large fire extinguisher. I stealth hit him in the face, and then repeatedly just bashed his head in. He had a burlap sack over his face like a proper killer would, and we all know they never die on the first hit, but there was some definite anger release there. I was hitting him so hard it translated into the real world with muscle movements. It was nuts.

Do DLCs get a hype train or a lesser hype vehicle?
Superfluous J replied to Nightside's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't normally reply just to say "nice pic" But when I do, it's a REALLY nice pic. -
Not once not never. Though I make it a point to only drop stuff that will eventually crash or eject. Unless you actually mean it as literally as @linuxgurugamer took it, in which case I don't recall specifically but likely last week.

White. That's the only color Costco sells of those high quality Oral-B ones.

Rocket League over the HDMI cable has a ... I'm going to guess about 1/20 - 1/50th of a second delay. Almost unnoticeable when you watch the screen of my laptop and the TV at the same time. But it has totally borked my ability to play. It's crazy how much that short amount of delay screws me up. What's worse, near the end I started to get used to it and now I'm all worried that I'm ruining my ability to play without an HDMI cable. (Yeah not as bad as most problems but hey I'll take what I can get)

Well, one workaround if you can get saves working when you're not controlling the Dres craft, is to just use map mode to switch to another craft every time you want to quick save Maybe - just maybe - everything will sort itself out when you recover or delete the ship. As to cheating it home if you personally feel you did the work, then of course it's okay. I'd use Alt-F12 to put it in the default Kerbin orbit, and then you can burn down to re-enter.

Your save has a lot of errors while loading parts, missing textures and whatnot. I don't think they're causing this problem but I figure I'd just mention it This error in ksp.log though bothers me: [ERR 15:36:37.179] [SurfaceObject]: Cannot return to original parent, it no longer exists. From a couple quick Google searches I see it relates to Kopernicus, and maybe setting Kerbin to orbit something else. I've no experience with that sort of thing though so I'm stabbing in the dark. Does any of that sound applicable? I see you are using Kopernicus but don't know what for. You mentioned Dres so I assume you're not using a pack that totally changes everything. Also in output_log.txt I'm seeing this: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at PartModule.get_HasAdjusters () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at PartModule.Save (.ConfigNode node) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at ProtoPartModuleSnapshot..ctor (.PartModule module) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at ProtoPartSnapshot..ctor (.Part PartRef, .ProtoVessel protoVessel) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at ProtoVessel..ctor (.Vessel VesselRef) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Vessel.BackupVessel () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at FlightState..ctor () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Game.Updated (GameScenes startSceneOverride) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Game.Updated () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at PauseMenu.SubmitExitToMainMenuConfirmation () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at (wrapper delegate-invoke) Callback:invoke_void__this__ () at DialogGUIButton.OptionSelected () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at DialogGUIButton.<Create>m__7 () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.InvokableCall.Invoke () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.UnityEvent.Invoke () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Button.Press () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Button.OnPointerClick (UnityEngine.EventSystems.PointerEventData eventData) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute (IPointerClickHandler handler, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute[IPointerClickHandler] (UnityEngine.GameObject target, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData, UnityEngine.EventSystems.EventFunction`1 functor) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 Any time I see a Null Reference Exception I get worried. I'm not sure what get_hasadjusters is but considering the ksp.log error I'm suspecting Kopernicus.

Breaking Ground... What will you build first?
Superfluous J replied to MR L A's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I kind-of am. I started a new career like I always do, but started it early to get through the initial few missions so I'm now about where I'd start to want robotics for stuff. That way when the dlc drops I'll hopefully be able to just start building stuff in career. -
Well done! I like the moar boosters approach. That must have been a fun launch You can actually get back to Kerbin from a polar orbit without a plane change, if you wait for your ejection burn (which will happen as you near a pole) to send you backward over the pole and out Mun's orbit retrograde. It's the same burn you do equatorially, just timed so when you eject, you're heading backward instead of forward or out at some crazy angle.

Are we still pretending the wheels/legs aren't broken?
Superfluous J replied to Geonovast's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I've never experienced this phenomenon. In my personal experience, 1.7's legs are better than 1.6's legs which were better than 1.5's. Not saying they're perfect or anything but in my gameplay I'd say they were temperamental, but far from "broken." -
Naw it's just that the consoles are a few updates behind. They won't be able to just plop the DLC down on day 1 because the infrastructure to support it is 3 versions away from where they are. I'd not be any bit surprised if the next big console update was to 1.7.1 or 1.8 (whatever we get on the 30th) and came hand-in-hand with the DLC. I'd also not be surprised if it came out in 2020.

Being diplomatic is not believing the lie. It's getting the job done in spite of it.

How can I tell them they're wrong if I'm ignoring them? 0. (though full disclosure: I checked my ignore list due to this post and someone was on it. I removed them from it. I don't remember when, where, or why I ignored them. And no, I won't say who it was)

Kerbal Space Program Breaks Ground with a New DLC!
Superfluous J replied to UomoCapra's topic in 2019
I make these kinds of choices all the time as well and understand fully. No thing to purchase is going to appeal to everybody, and even those to whom it does appeal may have to either put off the purchase or forego it entirely. I've had games in my Steam wishlist for years waiting for sales, and frequently when they do go on sale I think "Meh, I'd rather have this other thing."- 1,121 replies
