you are absolutely correct. I've edited my post to reflect that. Thank you

That was the original Motion Picture, a.k.a. Star Trek 1. I also loved it as a kid but these days it's not all that great. At least half of the movie is "Look at this awesome special effect! Let's linger on it for a few minutes and then pan, and linger again. This was expensive, man, so let's pan back the other way for a few minutes. And now, let's have the actors react to how great the effect is. Aw what the heck, let's pan one more time."

One of the best TV-related things I've ever done is to watch all of Star Trek, from the very first episode of TOS to the very latest movie (which back then was just the single Star Trek movie with the new cast plus an old Leonardy Nimoy) in production order. It took over a year. I watched: TOS (a.k.a. Star Trek, which I'd never watched all the way through but saw some episodes as a kid) TAS (a.k.a. the animated stuff. Not great, but the better episodes are better than TOS's worst) TNG (a.k.a. what most of us think of when we think of Star Trek, though I'd only watched all of the first 2 seasons so I missed some of the best TV ever) DS9 (Which I'd never seen a full episode of) VOY (This was hard to get through, I won't joke. Though after the first few seasons it gets much better) ENT (Surprisingly good. Season 3 is one of the best full-season arcs in the whole franchise, IMO) And of course every movie, trying to watch them in the exact place where I'd have seen them when they were released, assuming I was watching the TV shows on live TV. I went from someone who liked Star Trek okay to a fairly big fan by doing this, and I think I'm a much better geek for it.

Anything they can put into an app, they can put into the mobile site. As they haven't put it into the mobile site, what makes you think it'll be in the app?

Random aside, I got my 5000th rep a year ago yesterday.

KSP Caveman Evolved Challenge
Superfluous J replied to Superfluous J's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Three important things: 1) That's enough proof. 2) You don't need to return from Minmus. You only need to return from PLANETS. You get one building upgrade from landing on each world, and one building upgrade from returning from each planet. Also, the first landing doesn't count because there are 19 of the above things, and only 18 upgrades. So, assuming you've only landed on Minmus, you don't get an upgrade. If you've landed on Mun (or go and do that now) you'll earn a single upgrade. 3) Welcome to the challenge! -
KSP Caveman Evolved Challenge
Superfluous J replied to Superfluous J's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
So long as when you recover the craft you get "successful recovery of a craft that landed on ______" or (for Eve) "...splashed down on ______" then I'll accept it. I'll also accept if you didn't get that (like you used the same ship to land on both Duna and Dres for some crazy reason) then if in your persistence file for the craft before recovery, it lists both planets as landed on or splashed on). But really, so long as you've got a picture of the craft on the surface of a planet, and another with it (or some part of it) on the surface of Kerbin, and what was on the planet couldbe reasonably expected to return to Kerbin from that planet in the way you described it, I'll be more than happy to accept it on faith. To everybody: This is a busy weekend so I'll update this thread when I can, though it may not be for a day or two. -
I'm pretty sure that when the forum moved to the new software, I already had all 5 dots.

http://childrenofadeadearth.com Basically, dogfights in space aren't nearly as action packed as tv, movies, and video games portray them to be.

Woo hoo I'm in the majority! 100% of the 1 people who answered agree with me! I mainly play career. Sandbox is generally just for testing things.

KSP Caveman Evolved Challenge
Superfluous J replied to Superfluous J's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Sorry for missing this earlier. I've updated the first post with all 3 of our progresses. I may end up uploading a video with no voice commentary because it's so hard to find a quiet time to do that part. -

If someone makes one Very well done so far! I'll update the first post shortly! -
I'd need a picture to have a chance. I can't think of a single reason this would happen except some weird problem with your game, or some weird mod interaction. If you can, a full screen picture in the VAB that shows the ship, the engines on it, and the lower right corner where the staging icons normally are.

What have you been playing recently? (Other than KSP)
Superfluous J replied to a topic in The Lounge
So. Much. Factorio. I think Factorio is the main reason I've not played much KSP over the past few months. -

How about a roadmap, Take Two?
Superfluous J replied to dlrk's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Also how many Take Two games have public roadmaps? -
I had to put two cats to sleep last year, after having them for 16 years. Those 2 days, separated by about a month, were among the worst days of my life. I cremated the cats and their urns are in my living room. So I can understand all the feels you're feeling right now.

To paraphrase Caddyshack... Then you don't get no DLC. -
I traveled to Eeloo's surface and back using 1 fuel tank
Superfluous J replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Actually this is not true. It costs drops of fuel to burn up to Eeloo's apoapsis vs it's periapsis (from LKO) but out there Eeloo is moving slower, so you have to speed up less to match its speed. Same with Moho, only opposite. You want to meet it near its periapsis as it's going faster and you need to slow down less. -
KSP Caveman Evolved Challenge
Superfluous J replied to Superfluous J's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I am planning my first two interplanetary probes to be Duna and Laythe landers, so no real comms needed. I could even try to nail Duna from the ejection burn but with no maneuver nodes (patched comics only) that may be rough. I WAS thinking of doing the same with Eve but based on prior posts, I think that may be a bit overzealous -
It may be wise to point out here that nobody but people in this thread who are not associated with Squad or Take Two have mentioned microtransactions, pay-to-win, or anything like that. Any concern over it is concern over nothing.
