  1. I'd be very surprised if the Kerbals living in colonies are in space suits. And I wouldn't be all that surprised if Life Support is in the game that there is some form of waste management. As to the topic in general, I was surprised by the end of this thread that I hadn't yet run out of Likes today. I can't support this idea enough. The *FIRST* thing I thought of was said an hour ago: KSP is Kerbals and Kerbals are KSP. We blame the Kerbals for our failures and celebrate with them our wins. If you don't that's fine. You shouldn't care if they look male or female or any other gender or if they're amorphous blobs. But there is a very large contingent of players who DO care about them, and being able to care about them more will make the game more engaging.
  2. I have feelings about KSP2 in "early access" as opposed to full release. I have feelings about lack of interstellar travel or a progression system. I have particular feelings about science gathering but I've gone on about those elsewhere. Not all of these feelings are good. I'm not 100% sure I'll buy the game right away like I thought I would 3 years ago. That feeling in particular is not good. I'm going to think on this for a while.
  3. I recall this too. I distinctly recall them saying it would be a full game and be $59.99 I assume the change occurred because they are stuck between a rock (you MUST release early 2022) and a hard place (but it's not going to be done by then).
  4. I guess I'm just used to dealing with developers who say "I'm going to do this" and then never do it, because things change and plans change. If they don't use the word "promise" I read it as if they said "Hopefully," at the start. And they never use the word "promise" so I literally assume everything they say is just that: a hopeful.
  5. Obviously they said that before they realized that every word they said would be dissected and analyzed and thrown in their faces forevermore.
  6. In fact they're going out of their way to hide these videos from us.
  7. If you asked me what two sites were the two I'd rather they NEVER release a video on... Naw the 2nd after TikTok would be that other TikTok like site where it only uses the regular camera. I guess I'll watch this on Instagram then. ... Yeah that was worth my time. shakeycam footage of the guy removing the file from the filing cabnet, taken by someone walking by outside. ...with mellow CC-licensed piano music.
  8. It definitely smells like "I want to get a bunch of views but not do a bunch of work" to me.
  9. Save it locally, then upload it to an image service. I use imgur because it's free and easy. Then once uploaded right click and copy the image LINK and paste that link here. If you do it correctly it'll be a "jpg" link and once pasted, will just show up in your post.
  10. Time to suck Minmus dry of science! https://imgur.com/a/QleRjJ2 I was able to get both surface and "space around" Minmus, so I took full advantage.
  11. Yes! And a slider on extendable ones for how long they should extend. Make it change the mass of the part accordion. I mean accordingly. No I meant accordion.
  12. But you CAN lock it to 0, 90, 180, and 270. Just set SnapRotation to 90 instead of the 30 I have it set to because I prefer 30. I get wanting to dock and then rotate, but if all you want is your solar panels to line up they solved that years ago. And yes, it's a massive shame it's not incorporated into the game and you have to modify the files to enable it.
  13. I got so caught up in the news I didn't even notice that. Welcome to the fracas forum Mafuchu!
  14. Next up, Minmus! https://imgur.com/a/soJYqjt Short recap: 2 simple Minmus satellite missions, which I managed to screw up. 1 simple "orbit and return" mission, which I managed to screw up. 1 simple "put a station around Minmus" mission, which I managed to not screw up. In spite of all the screw-ups, I managed to complete every contract (yay!)
  15. Is my post hidden or something? This is literally in the game all you need to do is enable it.
  16. Here, as in this thread? No not really. Here, as in this forum? Uh, yeah you should check out other threads in it.
  17. It says either "Do Not Open" or "Donut Cover" IMO either is equally possible. {snip}
  18. This is addressed in KSP1, though it requires modding - or at the very least file hacking - to enable. The easiest way is with a module manager config like this: // Add angle snapping to Squad Docking ports (12 increments as on textures) // Author: Psycho_zs @PART[dockingPortLateral|dockingPort2|dockingPort3|mk2DockingPort|dockingPortLarge|dockingPort1]:FINAL { @MODULE[ModuleDockingNode] { // If you want X degrees margin, use cos(0.5*X) as captureMinRollDot // 0.5 degrees = 0.99999048 // 1 degree = 0.99996192 // 2 degrees = 0.9998477 // 3 degrees = 0.99965732 captureMinRollDot = 0.999 snapRotation = true snapOffset = 30 } } As you can tell from the comment at the top of the file, this was gotten from another user, no doubt from a post on this forum.
  19. Note: I've added a couple mods since starting that I didn't mention, but none of them are any more "cheaty" than the ones I previously mentioned. AstroGator - which I said I installed last time but apparently I was wrong about that. I installed it now for sure AutoAGL - because I kept forgetting it wasn't installed. KSP Community Fixes - For the obvious reasons, particularly how it causes the game to remember who was sitting where on reverts. Mission 7 is actually 2 missions, because the first one was just a little rescue mission around Kerbin, to rescue someone (an Engineer named Franvan who very likely will never see a capsule again unless I have 2 missions at once that need an engineer) and get "transfer kerbals between ships around Kerbin." The second was a flyby of Minmus, in which I also got high and low science (as the contract requested) Neither was particularly hard, so not many pictures. But the pictures that are available are here: https://imgur.com/a/dF9jK62 Mission 8 will be a bit more involved as I send 2 satellites and an orbital station up there, and one of the 2 pilots that are contracted to go along will return. The contract that that will satisfy will hopefully give us one to land there, which is where the ca$h money science will happen. I've also taken 2 contracts to put satellites around Eve, but the window's over a year away. I've got an alarm for so I won't forget. Though who knows I may still forget. EDIT: Oh, and I upgraded the VAB and the Tracking Station to 3. They join Mission Control and the Launchpad. I could upgrade a couple other facilities but really don't need to right now and who knows how much money I'll drop on the Minmus Multi Mission that's coming up.
  20. You can also disable fuel flow through docking ports and enable it through certain things, such as decouplers. You could also use the GPO Fuel Pumps mod and set its priority very high so even though it's being used, the other tanks keep pumping into it. But that'd be a bit odd
  21. Mission 6, with far less contracts yet double the launches. Triple if you count the revert. https://imgur.com/a/B86SEty
  22. To be clear, it was administered by a professional. And by a professional I do in fact mean someone paid (and presumably trained) to administer liquid nitrogen to warts. As I recall it was actually kind of fun. It didn't really hurt because it was a wart and also it was so cold it just froze your nerve endings.
  23. Congrats on TotM! And congrats to me for completing Mission 5: Bring. Him. Home. Because no one has ever titled a mission that. To recap: I started this mission with EIGHT contracts to complete: Test the Spider on escape trajectory from Mun Build a surface outpost on mun with antenna, docking port, solar panel, and room for 5. Plant a flag on mun Dock 2 vessels around mun - we already have a satellite there with a docking port. Repair that satellite Bill couldn't fix. Science data from surface of mun. Rescue Rydas from the surface of Mun. Surface deployed mystery goo from Mun Along the way, I also picked up a "Science from space around Kerbin" contract, for a total of 9 completed. For all that work, I got - wait for it - three HUNDRED science points. Wait, did Bob forget to carry the one again? No. I got 300 science. Find out why in the Imgur link. https://imgur.com/a/kV4zOz4
  24. I burned them off with Liquid Nitrogen more than once. I even remember ripping one out by the root by picking at it for days. They always came back, in exactly the same spots, until I convinced my body to rid itself of them. The power of matter over mind.
  25. I have first hand experience with this. I had warts from some time in elementary school into high school, and then I happened upon a Self Hypnosis book and used it for a lot of stuff including eradicating the warts that have now been gone for ... mumblety-mumble years now. A lot. Also helped me quit smoking, but that's a different story.
