  1. well, Ive looked into this some, and tried using all of these, to force different levels of Dx11... none work... using any of them, KSP just defaults to Dx9... -force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded -force-feature-level-11-0 -force-feature-level-10-1 -force-feature-level-10-0 -force-feature-level-9-3 -force-feature-level-9-2 -force-feature-level-9-1 Preliminary testing shows that forcing OpenGL is fixing the editor part icon texture issue... I guess Ill try some game play to see if running OpenGL will work for me or not... At the beginning of messing around with trying to force the different levels of Dx11, I updated to the newest Nvidia drivers... so idk if that might be why forcing OpenGL seems to be working or not...vOv ... oh, forcing OpenGl for me, runs vers 4.5....
  2. getting the same... works fine using Dx9... it seems to be an issue with forcing Dx11/12, & OpenGL... across all OS platforms... I guess some people have posted that disabling AntiAliaasing worx? vOv EDIT: It seems I got the issue to go away, by forcing OpenGL... running vers 4.5... i tried forcing all different levels of DirectX11, but none worked, as the game just defauted to Dx9... vOv
  3. that worx ... but that alone doesnt combine th models, like this modlet" does and yeah, this *should* still work in 1.3.1 fine
  4. shoot... I completely forgot about this one, too: http://www.spaceflightinsider.com/launch-schedule/
  5. theres http://www.launchinfo.space/ and https://www.space.com/32286-space-calendar.html
  6. Too funny, since Unity is VERY soon dropping support of DirectX9... I was surprised when I checked my 1.4 KSP logs specifically to see if KSP now natively runs DirectX11.... I was disappointed to say the least, when i saw it still runs DX9....
  7. you get $$MONEY$$ ... when you sell that all to another company that wants it and before someone says "well, Squad wouldnt do that..." I would bet that Squad is using third party analytics companies to do this for them... altho, to be fair Squad *IS* actually a marketing company, isnt it?
  8. As far as specific device info, they gather make/model of your device, some hardware specs, the device name that you set when installing WIndows... your OS... you can go into /user/xxxx/AppData/LocalLow/Squad, and buried in there, youll see a bunch of randomnamed folders... in each are three extensionless files... you can rename them with .txt file extension, then open in any text reader, to see (at least part), of what data they are sending home... Pretty sure this is for the Unity Analytics part of it
  9. Yes, with some digging, it seems they added Unity Analytics to 1.4.0... https://unity3d.com/solutions/analytics It looks like a game using Unity may not automatically phone home... Seems the developers have to actually add in Analytics
  10. @HebaruSan ust a note... incase you didnt already know, a release of KSP 1.4.1 has been announced for next week... So I would say take your time, if you prefer vOv
  11. Thanx for holding off on the SpaceDock update... Besides, 1.4.1 is supposed to drop in less than a week, anyway... Holding off on SD to add new 1.4.0/1.4.1 tags not only heads off confusion for users.... But i would think it would save *you* unecessary suppport reports, if someone grabs the 1.4.0 update, when listed as 1.3.1 on SD, and actually tries to use it on KSP 1.3.1... So THANX for holding off till SD can update the tags
  12. @VITAS I dont know if you know yet, i know youre busy , but KSP 1.4.0 has dropped, and 1.4.1 is expected next week... I guess when you get the chance, can you update the KSP versioning on SD, as there are some mod devs already posting 1.4.0 updates under 1.3.1
  13. hmmm... the link is titled Terms of Service in that post... and it sounds like you have to accept it to access (I'm assuming), your forum account... yet that seems to be a combined ToS/EULA.... so how again does that *not* apply?... and also, whats in that, does not seem to be the same as what I accepted this morning when accessing the forums...
  14. Exactly! and that one seems extremely relevant at least to those who submit any kind of mod, or other content... If that is covered as part of the ToS, it reaaly needs to be readble *BEFORE* having to accept the ToS
  15. I would say no, this one is more concerning: " 5. Miscellaneous 5.1 Add-ons A more detailed set of rules regarding add-ons and add-on licensing can be found here and must be followed at all times. "
  16. Also, the link for the Addon Posting Rules thread in section 5.something, is broken, until *AFTER*, you accept the ToS... that seems kinda shady, if not even voiding the agreement in most places
  17. I could be wrong, but that is most likely just a notification from your firewall/antivirus software... KSP, by default, tries to "phone home"... you can accept, or create an exception for your firewall/antivirus to allow it, or to deny it... shouldnt affect the game starting either way... I have it blocked by my firewall since the first time it popped up... it has no effect on playing the game
  18. I think he was paraphrasing the gist of the EULA (in laymans reading terms), and half-sarcastic... if you read further, he made this comment, which shows he wasnt stating a fact that needs to be cited or sourced... his comment was ust an interpretation of the EULA itself... and seems to sum up this whole issue... the EULA, taken literally, can probablly do away with KSP modding altogether... but will they actually do it?... thats what everyone wants clarification on " That is, if you take their EULA literally. Who knows what they really mean. I don't think working under "good faith" is enough to satisfy most of the modders here. " EDIT: ... and, ninjad
