[1.7.X] Civilian Population [RELEASED : 07/04/2018]
Stone Blue replied to Pamynx's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Same reason for the KSP game folders: people may have mods installed that do not allow redistribution, except from thier respective "official" download links its a licensing issue thats why sometimes you'll see people ask for not only logs, but just a *screenshot* of contents of gamedata folder... basically gives a list of installed mods, without actually "sharing" the mods- 242 replies

Anyone care to make some simple models?
Stone Blue replied to whale_2's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
@whale_2 hmmm... perhaps touch base with Tokamak? Incidentally, he just posted this thread a few days ago -
yeah... i have it on good authority that Vitas has been contacted immediately after it happened, thru other means, as well as me tagging him in my post... I'm sure it will get fixed as soon as possible... give the site people some time... it IS the middle of most peoples weekend and time off to relax with family and things other than KSP... I just hit the "Create Exception" button on the warning page I got, and the site works fine for me for manual downloads... you CKAN people, may have to wait tho... but i guess thats the price of easy convenience: sometimes you just got to deal with temporary outages... vOv

Yeah, the KKVLA and Oceania packs seem to have had their links removed from the OP, sometime around KSP 1.0.0 to 1.0.5, IIRC... And werent merged into the re-arranged Core release, or other "packs"... vOv And, unfortunately, IIRC, all the KerbinSide stuff is ARR... IIRC, AlphaAsh had some of the most restrictive licenses I've seen... so there is probably slim chance they will rise again... Altho I know Oceania was primarily a work by Eskandare...

[1.2] Active Heat Management System 0.3.1
Stone Blue replied to Randazzo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
there seems to be one old version on Curse: https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/heat-management/files I would expect you'ld prolly be on your own for support, tho, if theres issues... I have all the extremely old versions, but unfortunately, i cant share them... no one can, except Randazzo himself... You should really check the OP for a mod for licensing, before asking someone to cough up old copies of mods, if theres no longer working links... This one is ARR... All Rights Reserved EDIT: Ok then... it actually looks like the previous versions had their own seperate thread, and the license for *THAT* version does allow for redistribution... But again, its clearly unsupported... THIS is the thread you want: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/106460-105-heat-management-no-longer-supported/ -
Oh... sounds like you have Z-fighting going on then... search that term for help on the issue... that can happen when two *meshes* overlap... if you are using a Mesh Collider in unity for the part, make sure to delete the Mesh Renderer component on it... and if you *are* using a mesh collider, for a part like that, would prolly be advisable to go with a basic cylinder collider instead... mesh colliders are more resource/performance intensive, and arent really necessary except on more complicated part shapes...

Your _MainTex looks all white, so it looks like thats what its applying... vOv You should drag your basic, colored texture to that spot, and try that... vOv ...and if you DID that already... make sure to NOT change any of the values at all in the shader component... just assign your texture and normal map using all default values, till you get it working...

ASET Props Pack. v1.5 (for the modders who create IVA)
Stone Blue replied to alexustas's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
@alexustas So will the old props be left in the release and deprecated somehow, so existing IVAs will still work, or are you talking, cold, hard, ripped out so any old IVAs trying to using the new version will just be messed up? -
Thats kewl... Thanx... i "thought" that that MODULE was pretty darn important... you've given me a place to start digging... I wasnt expecting you to spend time looking into the issue yet... i have digging to do myself first, before I "present my case" as a an even credible issue/support request. And if that module is absolutely supposed to be there, then it is most likely not even an issue with RPM itself... The mod in question has plugins of its own, so its probably NOT just a case of a straight IVA not playing well with RPM... Anyway, as always, thanx for taking the time for the response.

@MOARdV getting this error, and a mod using this in an IVA seems to be broken. [ERROR] [InternalProp.AddModule] Cannot find an InternalModule of typename 'RasterPropMonitorComputer' just wondering if the module was deprecated at some point?... I just went thru the changelog for the past several versions, and didnt see anything mentioned about it... Just wondering where I need to start troubleshooting

The DoubleDouble Redoubled thread that never was
Stone Blue replied to Grand Ship Builder's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
IMHO, Just because a mod is open license, and you *CAN* do what you want and re-release it, doesnt mean you *SHOULD* do it... especially when there is confusion/issues with a recent abandonment... This is the difference between legal and ethical issues... getting into ethical issues right off the bat can lead to unecessary drama and distaste within the community... theres a couple old terms that come to mind... "...not even waiting for <someone's> seat to get cold...", and "grave-jumping"... "at least letting the dust settle..."- 66 replies

MIght have been due to the closing of "loopholes" in MM syntax/logic, in the 3.0.x MM updates... if thats the case, NOT really a good reason to change the folder structure of a mod, as this would just be an MM workaround, which would ultimately fail... and IMHO, would just set a bad precedent for other mods to start doing

Stone Blue replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No rush... I was looking into updating/making a whole new control room, but I have another project I'm still in the middle of... -
[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
Stone Blue replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
hmmm... finally looking thru the logs, I see this, which i assume is the issue? vOv : " [ERROR] [InternalProp.AddModule] Cannot find an InternalModule of typename 'RasterPropMonitorComputer'" I'm now gonna try downgrading RPM a version or two... hmmm... finally looking thru the logs, I see this, which i assume is the issue? vOv : " [ERROR] [InternalProp.AddModule] Cannot find an InternalModule of typename 'RasterPropMonitorComputer'" I'm now gonna try downgrading RPM a version or two... All manual install.. i dont CKAN Also, when this all started, I had 1.7.16.5 of Toolbar installed... and THAT was not showing up at all either for me... Downgraded to 1.7.15 and it (Toolbar itself), was working fine... So, I know its a completley seperate thing, but if yer gonna do a clean test with PCR, and it was throwing specific PCRToolbar.dll errs with 1.7.15, maybe test the newer localiztion beta for Toolbar, afterwards... vOv -
[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled

[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
Stone Blue replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
no... been using 3.0.1since it came out thats cuz I deleted the default save folder, to make sure nothing carried over after removing/switching mods... starting a new "default" save that way, it still asks if you want to overwrite it... vOv contents of GameData in the imgur link... ASET contained only Avionics, Props, and ALCOR OK... pulled everything out except PCR and KSP Dev Logger New logs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zDHXgKOFIToFiiWUskcpkYQfTeadAvrV (didnt try removing the PCRToolbar dll yet)... trying that next EDIT: yeah, removing the PCRToolbar dll didnt seem to change anything... clicking PCR stock app button still does nothing -
[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
Stone Blue replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
So, the latest version of this doesnt seem to work for me. KSP 1.3.1 fresh install... just a few other mods installed (all checked for latest updates): -
Well, if you gotta go stockalike, , at least you did it right, IMHO... meaning I like the higher contrast between the colors/sections... Its stockalike, but "better" than stock
-
I think it depends on what look you are going for... a more realistic look, or a stockalike... IMHO, 1 is closer to a realistic look... 2 and 3, are totally stockalike to me... I would prefer my SpaceX parts to LOOK like SpaceX parts, and not just blend in, to the stock and plethora of stockalike modded parts that are out there... But thats just MY opinion... It all depends on what YOU think @damonvv , and what look/marketshare of users, that you are wanting to target...
