  1. Since 1.1 is getting unbroken(*crosses fingers*/*Knocks on wood*) 64-bit version of KSP, how many mods will you be running since the 3.5 GBs will be passable?
  2. Well, if you want a performance crushing craft, the MCSS(Modded Community Space Station) That I started is over 400 parts and sends my gtx 980 ti and intel 5820K into the 10 - 25 fps range. You can use that if you want. I know you asked for stock, but I suspect you will be doing a modded benchmark run too, to compare performance from stock and modded games.
  3. Here's my remdition of the Liberty Rocket. It uses SHDI's pod parts, Tantares' Ariane 5 core stage and engine, and a large SRB from SpaceY heavy lifters. Action groups: Abort) Fires the LES and detaches pod 1) Detaches the pod, for some reason the decoupler won't work in staging. 2) Detaches Escape System after you've aborted 3) Toggles Solar panels. The SRB is set to a gimbal limit of 50 and the Ariane 5 stage is set to a gimbal of 35. The rocket will wobble if these are not set.   4. Just an idea, also, the modules don't have to be small. You send several up into lko, Attach them, then attach interplanetary transfer stage.

  7. Hello, and welcome to the CID thread, or Crafts Incorporating Designs. What is this thread for? Posting rockets that you made that have design elements of another member's/organization's craft. For a real life example, I point you to the Liberty Rocket. The Liberty Rocket is a mixed design, or sometimes referred to as a 'Lego' design. It takes American SRBs that the Space Shuttle used, ad places them on the bottom of the European Ariane 5's Core Stage. The idea of a 'Lego' craft inspired me to make this thread and see what people make in terms of a 'Lego' craft. Now, here are some rules for the thread: 1) Do not post craft that you solely built! That would be off topic for this thread. 2) You must have permission from the member who's craft you used to mix with yours. If they have uploaded the craft in a thread and have said, "You are welcome to use my craft any way you like, just give me credit" or anything like that saying, you may post it without asking for their permission, but please link to the member's thread where they said that, and also give them credit. 3) Mod pack craft are allowed, such as mixing FASA's Saturn IB with Bobcat's Soyuz. (You don't need permission for posting craft using mods, but of course give credit where credit is due.) 4) You can mix as many craft as you want, there is no limit. You can have FASA's Saturn IB Stage one and two, with Bobcat's Soyuz's asparagus boosters, and have the command module be an Orion Pod from another mod. 5) More rules may apply in the future Q&A: Q) I made a craft using my friend's craft, but they aren't on the forum, can I still post the craft? A) Yes! Of course! But please give them credit! You don't have to give their name, just say your name and then your name's friend or anon. Q) We already have a craft sharing thread! You might have used a longer SRB then the one before you, or you could have added some flair to it! Also, didn't get any pictures of the LV stage, but it uses four orange tanks, two attached in a line on the top and two attached in a line on the bottom, each with a skipper engine. Then there are six of the medium sized SRBs. Launched 3/1/16 @ 9:30 PM CST
  11. Let's hope 1.1 gives multicore support. I think I heard somewhere that it might have it, I also heard that it might just give two core support, which is still a major improvement! And if they add hyperthreading support, those two cores will act like four.
  12. K. And I think we need to retire this projects lol, IT's about over 450 parts and it's giving my gaming computer 14 fps, and I have a 980ti and a 5820K... *Sighs* I really which KSP had mutli-core support. Then we wouldn't have frame rate issues.
  13. I have, and when I try to put it together, it doesn't want to go back the way it went. I have to use the cheat for the non-strict parts placement. I'll send screens later, I have to go right now.
  14. Also I'm having trouble with the EUS interstage, the maincore end skirt, and the maincore liquid oxygen parts. They don't want to seem to go together like they are supposed to.

  16. I will. And KW is a nice mod, I'll consider it. But like I said, I'm going to hold off until 1.1. Lol, I know this is crazy but... I'm going to upgrade my 16 gigs of ram to 64 gigs. Why? ALL THE MODS! Think of the cinematics! The projects! I will make KSP run a hundred mods!
  17. Oh, okay. Any chance of getting stock diameter configs in the future? I really want to play with this mod. Also, holy polygon count Batman! THe interstage alone has enough polygons to crash a super computer! You went for accuracy!
  18. Hey guys, I have another idea for a project(Which might not start till after 1.1). An ISS, but not replica... Okay, let me explain through an idea I had: The year is 2023, the ISS is under threat of a meteor shower. All crew safely left aboard the two Soyuz pods The ISS was later hit by the storm and was destroyed without any chance of retrieving anything of value. It later burnt up over the Atlantic. Nasa and the other space agencies decided not to rebuild it. This did not go well with space enthusiasts who loved the ISS. Under pressure from constant requests NASA decided to build a station. They send up the first capsule. Other space agencies decide to join in. By 2025, all space agencies are working towards a new ISS. That's the basis of the idea. Mods that we would use: Tantares(For Russian modules) CxAerospace Stockalike station parts(For US modules) A mod which includes Dragon and Falcon 9 SLS mod(If I can find a stockalike one or one that is stock diameter, and I know there is a stock SLS in game already, but come on, I'm talking about one that actually looks and acts like the real SLS) An orion mod An Ares mod(Loved that rocket, sort of don't like the SLS) And any other mod that I can think of. So what do you guys think?
  19. Is this mod RO only? Because when I added it without the RO, it has all the parts huge for me. Or am I doing something wrong? Or did you make this mod outside the 'standard' widths?
  20. The concept is almost the same, but I'm looking for something that actually puts the img inside the hanger/bay, as if it were a part. I will try it out nonetheless, thank you.
  21. Yeah, when somethings too big I just put the long bars all over the place and strut the hell out of it lol. That's how I launched the docking module. It's too long to just strut the bottom. I made a makeshift container to hold it in place using the big bars and tones of struts everywhere.
  22. I just thought of a mod that would be very useful. An underlay/overlay picture system. Instead of flipping from KSP to your browser then back again to see if your build looks like the photo you have up, I was thinking why not have a mod that display the picture inside the hangers? This would be very useful for creating replicas. I know it would be hard to do, but if someone could do it, I would be very thankful.
