[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yeah. I have a quad core laptop and a duo core desktop. The laptop is an AMD and the desktop is Intel. Multi threading would also be nice. They do have multi threading, but it's limited multi threading. Also, I think the performance issue was with the 32 bit. I think it has limitations other than the GB range. Edit: Did some searching around. Yeah 32 bit system limits the multi threading while 64 bit lets it fly to a certain point. http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2009/07/08/3261309.aspx -

[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is this true!? Really! I can use my 8GB computer and run like fifty mods without getting ATM or texture reduction, or having to set the texture resolution to half or quarter? Can someone provide me with a link to the dev post that says this? Well, there is a difference. The node size gives different strength. A .5m node is weaker then a 1m node, 2m is stronger then 1m and so on. The nodes to match in order to get the most strength out of them, otherwise you could get that breaking off. -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey Helldiver. This is not a bug parse but the node for the left rear wheel of the S25 is smaller than the node on the wheels. -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey Helldiver, could you make a hinge using IR for the bus so we could connect two buses together? I know the bus will hold six kerbals enough for the crew of the Shuttles, but what if we put hitchhikers in the S25 and bring back 12 more kerbals? Three bus trips is a lot, especially if you have to go recover them from the wilderness if you undershoot the landing. - - - Updated - - - Someone is making a crawler mod, or actually Redoing the old one completely. -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13

It should be able to take that up to 80k with fuel still in the EFT. -

GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't have this problem. When is your gravity turn set at? I have mine at 25k I also have an ascent path of 65% which is standard. Also, are you going to stream tonight Helldiver? -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13

Here is the KSO Death that I talked about on the stream that just ended. Lol< My favorite part of this was watching all the kerbals fly out in a line. See second to last pic. -
[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update
GoldForest replied to Tiberion's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is this compatible with the new version? Like can I have the new Odin and the old one? I like the old one far better than the new one. The new one looks like a three man Gemini. -
[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update
GoldForest replied to Tiberion's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't know if this is a bug, but the Soyuz style command capsule, when I EVA, the Kerbal will pop out, do a 360, then just act like the hatch is normal. I didn't know Jeb, Bob, and bill were danseurs. -
[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update
GoldForest replied to Tiberion's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey Tiberion. Could you make some Ares inspired parts? I would love to see your take on it them. Also, if you do agree to make the parts, could you make all three Ares? I, IV, and V? -
I think this should have been posted in the addon support and requests, as this sound more of a request then a addon development. And that would not work, as KSP and Space Engineers are two different games and are made by two different companies. The legal stuff that would go down would be very bad for both Squad and the SE creators. Plus, there is no way to link the games even if the legal stuff was greenlighted. You can't craft a KSP part in SE then have a plugin transfer it into KSP. Now, if you want a Refinery in KSP that makes components and you use those components to make the parts like engines, command pod, and everything else, that would be kool. In fact, would add more realism to the game. Go out and mine metals to make components to make parts.

Frizzank, are you going to make the Nova Stage Two?

[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
There you go everyone, an update. Ask and you shall receive lol -
Did you make sure to position the docking ports correctly? They both have two nodes that are right on top of each other. I had this problem, just make sure that it's the bottom node that is attached and not the top one. Also, Frizzank, are you going to make the Nova Stage two?

[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh, you meant on launch, I thought you meant in space lol Well, the x-33 has extra surface controls to compensate for that. There are loads of ways to fix the COM problem. Heavier fuel tank lower thrust SRBs Weights in the shuttle to move the COM -

GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Not if you had powerful enough RCS they would compensate for the problem. -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Actually, the cargo bay is rather large. -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you look at the x-71(the Armageddon shuttle) , it has hunches on the back side, this could be fuel tanks, so it is possible for the engines to be relit in space. As for the SRBs and engine pitch, as long as the COM is behind the COT, it should be fine. -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
GoldForest replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Actually, all the shuttles are realistic like. The x-33 is actually a real concept shuttle. -

I was just asking if he was going to do future plans for KSO. I'm sure all of us would like to see this mod continue to get new stuff, but if he says he has no future plans for it, then that's oaky too. BTW, which shuttle are you talking about? I put four of them up.
