  1. more gas planets, more planets, more stuff to visit! afaik Eeloo was supposed to become a moon of GP2 so, yes please
  2. @JPLRepo Once kerbal mvmt in iva is a thing then it has a use. But until then its wasted dev time. With out additional functionality its pointless and useless. THATs my point
  3. I honestly fail to see the utility of this "feature." Seems to me to be poorly thought out and implemented. We cannot move our kerbals around EVA style inside a crew module so that fact right there makes this "feature" utterly useless. Just my honest opinion.
  4. @HorusKol once you break out of the Kerbin/mun/minmus system the contracts for places like jool or eeloo for example will crop up. they need a total rework of the career mode to make it make sense.
  5. let me ask you this. would it be nice to have a reason to play career mode? To have a way for what you are doing to mean something more than: take this contract and do x, y, z and then move on? Would it not be nice to have a reason to emotionally invest yourself in your space program? Would it not be nice to have things to do come at you in a logical and linear way rather than, oh, you hit this point on your tree, here have all these contracts, even tho, it does not make sense to be told: fly to eeloo and set up X even tho, gotten past duna isnt a thing yet? See, the way career is now, it provides NONE of that. Its not logical, its not linear, it makes absolutely zero sense in the way contracts are generated. See, right now, I may only be in year 7 of my current sandbox, but, it has a rich story built into it. I have an emotional investment in the goings on in my program there, I can do things in a logical progression that career mode just flat out lacks. I am not sure why career is so emotionally dead and illogical <i have my theories of course> but, it has given me no reason beyond: did they polish it? no? ok, back to the sandbox with my shovel and pale and the stories i can dream up. Again, career mode gives me NONE of this.
  6. In all honesty, my career ended for me when the lack of a cohesive story, a lack of contracts that made any sense and a real lack of anything in game making me feel invested, in any way, in any amount. Career mode needs to be...well...more in story, in common sense for me. Till then, the canvas that is sandbox is my story.
  7. shiney parts? reflective parts? i say YES, where it would be appropriate of course. windows, metal bits and bobs, solar arrays etc.
  8. 1. Agree that this click thru craps gotta go. 2. Holy necro thread batman!
  9. what do i think should be added? 1. mechjeb I will be honest here, mechjeb is superior to Ker because everything Ker can show, Mechjeb can show AND it has automation. 2. Procedural Fairings <yes they are TRYING to make a decent version stock, but, I still think the mod should be stock. It is far superior imho> 3. KAS/KIS thats my list. Mechjeb proud since .21.
  10. I got ksp on steam a day or two after .21 came out. I launch from the ksp icon not from inside steam. But, I checked the steam thingy and saw NO button or marker for opt in for this beta thing for 1.1. So, its not clear how that works...
  11. As i post this, they are under chute! Welcome home! Well done!
  12. The description? If you mean that, then, sometimes I do. Especially if I'm working on variants of my craft, just to keep tabs on changes.
  13. Click-thru ... Wasn't that a thing of the past? Have seen a huge uptick in that last night.
  14. @AlextheBodacious i just ordered a 3d print of my gantry class shuttle, and with the code mentioned above kraken for $5 bucks off, i spent about 99 bucks. small is 4inches for 25 and large is 8 inches for 99.99. i quote direct from their webpage: regular 4in $24.99 large 8in $99.99 link: https://eucl3d.com/collections/kerbal-space-program/products/3d-print-your-craft
  15. i like it! Looks like its a gem to fly in game!
  16. @handrumsolo Id wager you are burning up the chutes with way too much speed now. New aero and all. Get Procedural Fairings, they are far easier to use than what the stock confetti "fairings" are. Procedural Fairings may be what you need. Best of luck
  17. @Anker Um is the parent node set to "station" and not say "probe" or "spacecraft"? That may be the problem
  18. @Aperture Science Employee Um, let me say it again: multiplayer dev time in a SMALL ADVERTISING FIRM that is working on the SIDE to make this game has a 99.99999999% chance to take time and people off of working on single player content. Which WILL HURT single player. Period. You say I should look at what's been done so far? Ok. Stroll with me then. There is a mod called Procedural Fairings. It is easy to use, 100% duplicatable when you need to pull the fairing off to adjust payload, it splits on ejection like REAL WORLD fairings. THEN Squad comes along and designs their own "fairing" and its a confetti making, unituitive, unduplicatable mess. To be blunt, this gives me absolutely zero faith in them doing multiplayer better than the unstable dmp mod, and that thing has been around ages. also, any game out there aside from some EXTREMELY rare games do single player content with any quality once focus hits multiplayer. My justified fear seeing how truly tiny the game arm of, and I cannot say this enough, an ADVERTISING firm is, that KSP devs cannot do both a proper (read: what ksp has been since inception) single player once the multiplayer box is opened. the truth is, there are way way way way way way too many variables for it to be done right. just say NO! to multiplayer.
  19. @RYU AZUKU99 Not sure how far a little is, but, I know from my experience you should still be able to see it for a bit, especially if you are on the ground and have the camera looking down at say a 45 degree angle. But it's like I said, it will ultimately vanish on you at a certain distance, but that's a variable based on things like graphics card, graphics settings etc.
  20. @FishInferno Pull your view out a bit. 1. Squad is NOT a computer game company. They are an AD firm FIRST with KSP an allowed project for one of their employees. 2. Given #1 it means not a huge budget or dev team. 3. Given #2 this means that to do multiplayer they must either A: hire more ppl but given the near certainty of not having a budget like a major game company they must move devs to work on what the mod community HAS ALREADY DONE. Which is not only illogical but wholly irresponsible. This ALSO means harming single player content. So again say NO! to multiplayer. Having squad redo what DM already is, is flawed. This. A grahams number this.
  21. @FishInferno True but see also: to big of a risk to HARMING SINGLE PLAYER CONTENT. Also see also: this game does not lend itself to multiplayer. Just say NO! To multiplayer.
  22. Just say NO! To multiplayer. To be blunt ksp =\= multiplayer. That. Simple. This a game that does NOT now, NOT ever lend itself to multiplayer being a good idea. Just say NO! The risk of it going wrong in any and ALL ways is unacceptable. Especially if it hurts single player content development (which is a REAL risk).
  23. Hey there, @RYU AZUKU99 um, im just gonna go ahead here and say it. You are actively zooming out. By definition this means your craft is getting smaller by comparison, which means so is its shadow. Look at it like this: you are on a flight from nyc to Lax in cali. You are at say 45,000 feet. The aircraft is positioned in a manner that has the sun on the left side and you are on the right side at the window. You look down below to the ground some 8 MILES or so +\- below. Do you see your aircrafts shadow? Nope. Its way way too small to be seen so far away. Same deal with zooming out in ksp. Hope that helped
  24. I use mechjeb because it has telemetry but also because it is an AUTOPILOT. I believe automation is the best. Im no coder so kos isnt for me tho. mechjeb proud since 0.21!
