  1. Hm Sorry for the late reply but I'm afraid I don't know why it's not working for you. KSPRC does have a custom config file in the compatible mods list in the OP. Have you tried that? Hello again Climber I haven't changed this mods name... What did you think it was?
  2. So that's what's causing it? Hm, I guess that would explain why I only see it at certain times. I wonder if there's a way to make cloud shadows only apply to the terrain below them, and not parts on your craft? I wonder if that would fix it (and maybe reduce a slight bit of lag)? Brainstorming
  3. gotcha - I'll report back in a moment if it works
  4. Hey @Malah, I wanted to report a strange compatibility issue with the Sci Fi visual pack and Quick Start... It seems as though Quick Start loads so quickly at the menu that it doesn't give the Sci Fi pack time to load it's textures, and when it's installed Sci Fi pack loses all of it's visuals. Is it possible you could look into this? Maybe create a timer delay on quick start or something similar to let Sci Fi pack load in time?
  5. Those are Scatterer's eclipses. They look weird because Scatterer's atmospheres aren't enabled in the tracking station to fade the edges. Can you visit the locations from map view and see ir the issue is still there?
  6. I'm sorry to take back what I said at first, but it appears as though Kopernicus (More specifically SVT) *is* compatible. The mod that was causing my troubles was actually *Quickstart* of all things. For some reason when Quickstart is installed, I no longer get any effects from Sci Fi. Odd... I'll be posting some images on the SVE thread and I'll link them here too, but I've been blending old cloud packs (KSPRC, Astronomer's Interstellar, and Better Atmospheres) with both SVE, SVT, and your sci fi pack. The way you added planet glow is pretty unique in what's currently out and because it's compatible with Scatterer I can use it to make multicolored atmospheres I.E. Duna with a blue rim around it, Jool with pink, Eve with green, Laythe with green. - as a note to textures, the only one I don't particularly like is your snow texture. That was the only one I noticed looking particularly odd. - as a note to development, I'd actually urge you to not rush - I've seen far too many modders get burned out over deadlines. Take your time
  7. YOU FOUND A MAGIC BOULDER OMGGGGGGGG have any pics?
  8. Aw xD idk about half... the surface and terrain textures are the true gem
  9. I've started fiddling with your configurator again Blackrack and I have to say that once you get fast at copying and pasting from the config tool it can be surprisingly simple to get something you like. I have a small bug to report which I sadly don't have any pictures of... It appears as though Laythe's atmosphere has a strong, black rim around it's edge that's visible when it passes in front of Jool. It was also on Jool until I changed scenes. Is there a button somewhere I should press to fix this or is it just a bug that hasn't yet had the time to be squashed?
  10. After some initial testing, it appears as though this isn't compatible with Kopernicus.
  11. If that's it, that's fantastic then. I'm trying to combine this with Scatterer to create tinted atmosphere edges the same way that was possible in old Eve. Give Eve a green edge and Duna purple once again.
  12. Sorry to double post (first one one from my phone), but @panzer1b, what's the difference between the SiFiVE and the SiFiVE-Lite downloads? I see that the lite download is more recent by about two weeks.
  13. Hm... might be experimenting with this tonight. Looks very nice
  14. Great! I don't use CKAN but I noticed that spacedock was listing this as 1.2.1. I was assuming it would still run though.
  15. xD I'll give it to you - I'm not allowed to 'mass distribute' it though since it's pulling textures from both Astronomer's Interstellar and Better Atmospheres. I got clear permission from the owner of BA but only half-permission from Astronomer. Going to try and insert the KSPRC terrain in these images through Kopernicus tonight if I have the time tonight. I'll need all the luck I can get... - As a side note I really wish I could do more in new EVE... so much of what I loved with atmospheres is impossible with it now. It's a trade off between putting glow on every single planet, or having cloud shadows.
  16. Awesome - I half assumed that it it did that on it's own. I'll be messing around with this a bit tonight - I was pleased to see that Kerbin is reddish once again! Or maybe it's just my eyes. Either way since the old EVE port is still compatible with Scatterer I'll be having some fun with it tonight revamping some old packs for my KSPTV debut on Friday
  17. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with them - their models where very old and their textures where very low quality, but because of that they matched the rest of the parts in KSP at the time... lol. When @Porkjet revamped all the plane parts he did a wonderful job with the Mk3 parts and they all look fantastic, but their models and textures are high enough resolution that they don't match the rest of the outdated rocket parts now. I really wish he had the time/patience/instructions to revamp all the parts in KSP, not just the spaceplane parts. I can't say if he wanted to redo them and wasn't allowed to, if he wanted to redo them and didn't have the time to, or if he had the time but didn't have the patience to. Or a mixture of all three .
  18. hey Blackrack, are there any different steps in the config tool when creating atmospheres on planets other than Kerbin? I was able to edit Kerbin efficiently, but I don't know how to change the effects on Eve/Duna/Jool/Laythe. Anything different I should do for planets with different sizes? Do I just simply copy the configs and files from the tool straight over like I do so with Kerbin?
  19. Sad to say but creating your own scatterer configs isn't as simple as just changing Alpha transparency and RGB color values though... I haven't done any experimenting with oceans, but I know that with atmospheric scattering you can't simply change the RGB values in each planet config - you have to re-create the effect in the scattering tool and export it's settings into the game. Just changing the RGB values will turn your planet into a psychedelic dream if you don't change things correctly.
  20. Thanks! Wonderful pictures . Sad to say though, there are a couple things I would change myself if I knew how: Both Duna and Laythe's atmospheres are far to thick for my tastes... I would bring Duna's glow back a ways to make it's atmosphere look thinner (it looks as thick as Kerbin's to me), and also level both Laythe's color and thickness a ways as well... It looks extremely muddy to me - I've always imagined Laythe as a Kerbin analog and the way it looks in SVE, the atmosphere looks *extremely* dense. I'd make it a bluer version of what Kerbin looks like right now. Kerbin is too... white for my taste. I liked a more red-ish tint to it's atmospheres like there used to be in Scatterer a while back. Sadly though it's difficult/impossible to make the atmosphere tinted red from space, without it tinted at the surface as well. Also just a personal preference that I already know how to do, I would replace Jool's texture with Endraxial's ancient one . I just love it to much to give it up, even if it might be a bit unrealistic - I'd be able to fix all of this if I simply knew how to modify cloud configs on different planets in the scatterer config tool XD I've had bad luck trying to do anything other than Kerbin .
  21. Ikr I don't know if there's a way to buy one - though something tells me if you shoved enough money in someone's face they'd send you one lol
