  1. Hey I had to install KSP new last days and now i have the problem that it crashes very often. Mostly when I switch between the vessels. Now I tried already six times to launch a new rocket but nop still cant get it up it crashs while flying and now already every time I load the launch. Its often with unitycrashhandler. And I cant find a crashlog file it is really annoying and not playable. Only new log file is from AVC. Hope you can help me i already tried directX but it didn't help.
  2. Hello fellow people, as the tittle suggests, i'm having issues (being that KSP completely crashes my PC aka turning it off) on a modded install of KSP. I updated my RIG recently, so i'll leave my specs right here: GTX 960 --> RX 590 8GB. I5 4460 3.2 GHz --> AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8 GHz. 16 Gb's RAM CL16 DDR3 --> 16 Gb's RAM CL17 DD4. MSI Z97-G43--> MSI B450A-Pro Max. 530w PSU--> 650w +80 Gold, Modular. Bold is new I'll give an in-depth explanation on what i'm experiencing. Basically, after X period of time of playing KSP the PC shuts down, the GPU temperature seemed pretty much fine (60-70ºc, even tho on other more demanding games like BFV my temps never reach 60ºc). The game itself doesn't feel laggy whatsoever which makes me think it isn't a GPU related issue, but more like a CPU issue. Of course, in my old RIG this never happened as it was pretty old as well. I also have over 22 mods installed, on my old game (which was saved on my old rig) i had over 70-80 mods running fine for countless hours. If i need to upload any file, tell me i'll be happy to cooperate : D. Thanks beforehand.

So, here's my setup: Razer Blade 15 (2018) Windows 10 legal installation, fully updated intel i7-8750H, 16GB DDR4 RAM, mobile Nvidia 1070 Max-Q KSP 1.9.1 (also a legal copy for what it's worth) I have about 30 or so mods installed. I typically have this laptop set up as a desktop, with a Razer Core that has a 1080ti inside it, two external monitors (34" 2560x1080 ultrawide 144hz as main, 32" 1920x1080 144hz as secondary) an external gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard attached. While in that setup I have zero issues with my game. However, I am staying at my partner's house right now and brought just the laptop body itself with me as I have become addicted to KSP. This is the first time I have tried to load the game not on my dekstop setup. It crashes on load every time. What on earth could be causing that? Is it just searching for components that aren't there and crashing? That doesn't seem likely, but I cannot think of any other reason. Thoughts? To be clear this is the exact same computer I always play it on, just after having removed all the external peripherals am I having this issue. Also, when I say crashes, I mean that the game closes itself out to desktop, not gets hung up on the loading screen.

  5. I have a tons of mods installed and I know some of them are causing problems. But my game still runs fairly enough. Every now and then I experience a crash to desktop. I know a log is created but do not know how to use it. Is there a place for me to learn how to use the logs to adress where the issue might be?
  6. so i launch modded ksp on online steam,i wait about 5 minute the ksp window quit it self.some day it does and some day it don't.but when i launch offline there is no problem. please help
  7. Hi there, I'm having a problem with Kerbal where when i start the game, I can click on things, but the game doesn't take keyboard input. Also, I noticed that in "windowed" mode it doesn't have the top bar with the minimize, maximize, and close buttons. Another weird thing is that I can use my USB joystick just fine to fly the ships. It is a clean install from this morning, but it isn't working. I run KSP off of Steam, and before this happened, I had some mods installed, such as MechJeb, Restock, Realplume, TweakScale, and a few others. I noticed that it started acting up when I installed BetterTimeWarp, when it had problems launching. I've done multiple clean installs and none of them worked. I am running on MacOS 10.12.6 on a 2010 Mac Mini with an 8GB RAM upgrade and 256MB of VRAM. I usually play with an Apple Magic keyboard and mouse, but i have a traditional wired keyboard that I have been testing with. I am hoping that someone finds a solution because I have nothing to do during quarantine without it and my worn-out RC planes won't fly. I will provide screenshots if required. Thanks bump

The game starts up after the initial loading screen, however when it gets to the menu, the screen with the planet and floating kerbals, it pauses for about 2-5 seconds, with nothing on-screen clickable, and then closes. I followed the 1.8.1 install instructions for RSS/RP/RO exactly, including the dll for DeadlyRentry and the folder thing for FAR. The only thing that I didn't follow was the Mechjeb Dev install via CKAN's updated repository. I just downloaded the regular one because my computer is having issues loading that and CKAN says it's failing to load it. I also have principia installed, but both Mechjeb and Principia don't affect the install, as removing them doesn't help with the crashing from my testing. I've also tried forcing OpenGL and uninstalling MSI Afterburner with no luck. Log's at the bottom along with some specs _______ Mods installed with their installed versions from CKAN. All the graphics and visual mods from the RSS/RP/RO wiki are running their suggested versions, in case CKAN doesn't match: Player log W10, 64bit, KSP 1.8.1. i7-7700k w/ GTX 1080 To reproduce: load the game and wait for it to reach the menu
  9. Hello, my name is Paul, from Spain. Hope you don't get blind because of my written English. I've got a problem. Lately, I was playing with INTERSTELLAR mod, docking and undocking with Endurance and the Rangers -don't know why months ago I could and now I can not- and the game crashes every 20 minutes or so. I do know I've got too many mods and maybe this is a RAM event or something like that, but I'm not a computer engineer, just an amateur. I've read about forcing DirectX 11 or OpenGL to save RAM, but I don't know neither if it is safe nor how to do it as long as I am using CKAN to open the game.   10. Currently my ship is in a crash course towards Bop. When I burn radial out to increase my apoapsis, the game freezes and then crashes when my AP reaches exactly 10005m. Any Ideas? (I am playing the last version of KSP, 1.9.1) Mod list: Distant Object Enhancement; Kerbal Engineer; Maneuver Node Evolved; Science Alert; Tracking Station Evolved; Kerbal Alarm Clock; Transfer Window Planner; Warp Everywhere.
  11. I've had this problem for a while and been looking for a solution, sometimes I can get into the game for a few minutes until it crashes, sometimes I only get past the loading before a crash. After it crashes each time I validate my files and it seems that some files are being deleted. I don't think it's my antivirus because I have tried it with the AV completely turned off, if anyone can help it'd be great. I'm not sure how to add my output log here so if anyone needs that to figure it out I can dropbox it to you. Edit: I am using WIN 10 and my drivers are up to date.

So, sometimes the game freeze and the last lines of the KSP.log are: [WRN 16:25:46.084] Internal: JobTempAlloc has allocations that are more than 4 frames old - this is not allowed and likely a leak [WRN 16:25:46.084] To Debug, enable the define: TLA_DEBUG_STACK_LEAK in ThreadsafeLinearAllocator.cpp. This will output the callstacks of the leaked allocations Any idea of what is this and how to avoid it?

Hello, once again (this is getting too frequent), I really cannot figure this one out with my used-up brainpower (College takes its toll, especially with the ungodly amount of snowfall today in Vancouver.) My game has quite splendidly decided to kick the bucket everytime I enter the Sphere of Influence of any Celestial body besides Earth. And when I say my game has frozen, It freezes the computer too. Windows stops working, the computer becomes unresponsive, starts to sound like a jet engine and worst of all, there are no .log files made, and no matter how long I wait, the game doesn't respond. My game is version 1.6.1 and is modded, extremely modded including (here we go): Airplane Plus, Grounded, Near Future (Solar, Propulsion, Electronics, Aeronautics and Others), Kerbal Engines, Ferrum Aerospace Research, DPAI, Oh Scrap!, KIS, KAS, NAS, BDAc, KJR, Feline Utility Rovers, Firespitter, OPT, TAC Life Support, Kerbal Atomics, Dock Rotate, Aviator Arsenal, Hangar Extender, HullCamera VDS, JSI, Kerbal Engineer Redux, Kerbal Changelog, Kerbal Launch Failure, Kerbtrotter Ltd, Modular Flight Integrator, Persistent Rotation, Physics Range Extender, Planetary Base Inc, Reentry Particle Effect, REPO Soft Tech, Restock and Restock Plus, Smokescreen, Space-Y (Expanded and Lifters), Tweakscale, Vessel Mover, Deployable Engines, B9 Procedural Wings, B9 Part Switch, ASET, Persistent Rotation and Chatterer. I use Module Manager 4.1.0 and KSPModFileLocalizer. Yes, that is my mod list, and no, I'm not joking. (some mod dependencies are not listed here, but they are all there, I guarantee.) I think this is an issue caused by a mod being incompatible with other mods or just messing up the game for me. It might be one of the Near Future Mods (Nertea, sorry if I misspelled that but, I'm a huge fan of your mods.) but, i'm not so sure. It may also be one of the others. Please help, I built a rover and sent it to Duna, no quicksaves (challenge) and the game promptly crashed after I left Kerbin, there was much raging today. Thank you, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

  15. The issue happended Three times in a row, i load my savegame, go to SPH, and when it got loaded it just freezes. First Time: Crashed as soon as i got in SPH Second time: I could build the main body of a Space Shuttle, when putting the rudder, crash. Third time: Same as first one Here is the KSP.log

  18. Working on a 3 person suborbital contract. First flight with one passenger successful. During the second flight, a 2 passenger flight, I made it to 70k, landed, clicked retrieve vehicle, and the game crashed while loading the success retrieval screen. The crash was an issue switching resolutions...which I was not doing. Anyway, the real problem is the 2 passengers have flown and now are not available to select for another flight. I cannot complete the contract. Is there a way to reset it? Or do I need to throw it away and take the incomplete hit? Any other options? Also I just went to the Astronaut center. The pilot and 2 passengers are in the assigned tab. And their status says they are in the pods. I have NO MODS installed, I've tried completely reinstalling the game, I've tried restarting my PC, I've tried launching the game from steam and directly from the directory, I've tried restarting steam, And nothing works. I got no error logs and the game worked before. The only thing I know that might have been the cause is that I've tried installing Realism Overhaul via CKAN and ever since it didn't launch. I have no idea what to do anymore.

  21. Whenever I attempt to resume my career save, the game immediately crashes to blue screen with the error code "CE-34878-0". I am running the Enhanced Edition version 1.06 on an English console, with the History and Parts pack DLC installed. I have attempted to solve this by restarting the console, uninstalling the game and redownloading it from the PS Store, as well as deleting the "Common Data" file, switching to a different language and then back to English. Nothing has worked.
  22. So having purchased the dlc after the latest console update, i can safely say the console version has seemingly got worse. Im on PS4, im consistantly get crashes on all modes be it career, sandbox or otherwise. By crashes i mean no matter what parts i use to build a plane i cant get off the end of the runway without to game crashing to ps4 home screen, this has been the case with 5 out of the 7 new saves i tried. The same thing happens with rockets only it seems to be limited to the parts that where edited in the update. Also whilst in the build menu the game will often not register the buttons i press and instead will switch itself between build menu and selecting crew members for rocket this is happening whilst in the place for building rockets. On the rare occassion i can get off the ground without having to restart the game and go into the map to begin orbits and such the game will often lock the button menu up so i can no longer do anything. In career for some reason, any science points earned from contracts and or science data collection is not given however funds and reputation are, once i recover a craft i will receive science points for doing that only. Crew members usually disappear after game crashes. No doubt theres more but these are the ones that are making my game unplayable and clearly of waste of money. So what exactly did they fix during the port rebuild? Or did they just fix bugs in the rebuilt code and leave the rest for next year? The whole gaming industry are turning into money grabbers!
  23. My game is crashing during atmospheric reentry and also during ascension, both on Kerbin. This is a big letdown and is ruining any playability.. There are others who are having the same problems and I hope this to be solved as soon as possible. The blue screen error name is CE-34878-0. I'm playing on PS4 Pro; radial mode.
  24. Hi, so Kerbal Space Program keeps crashing on my pc short after all assets have been loaded to the game. The bug keeps appearing after the 1.7 update. Before that, there was no such problem. I installed the kOS mod, but even before I installed it, the bug appeared several times. However, the bug doesn't appear on every game start. I have added a link to my Google Drive which redirects you to the crash log, the crash.dmp and a copy of my system information. Do you have any suggestions?
