  1. I dream of achieving interstellar travel in this game, but Kopernicus never seems to work. When I load the game with Kopernicus installed, the loading bar gets stuck halfway and doesn’t move, no matter how long I wait. The message just says, "ModuleManager: Waiting patch to finish." I’ve even removed all my other mods and checked the version to rule out conflicts, but the issue persists. Any advice would be appreciated—thanks!
  2. I want to make a kerbalized version of 19521 Chaos, which is hypothesized to be a contact binary. I am very new to Kopernicus, and I am currently developing a planet pack.
  3. This is a modification of Real Solar System for KSP 1.8.1, swaping Earth and Mars making the launch site on Mars. Currently there's 8 launch sites: Valles Marineris, Aurorae Chaos, Chryse Planitia, Olympus Mons, Hellas Basin and Utopia Basin, Korolev Crater and Argyre Planitia. Contract system of RP-0 is all changed to deal with this modification. As you start, sounding rocket contracts give you more money to accelerate the progress to go to orbit and X-Plane contracts are all removed because winged crafts don't work on Mars. Lunar exploration contracts are now separeted in Phobos and Deimos exploration contracts, crewed exploration contracts are now separeted in three categories: Human Exploration of Inner Solar System (this includes exploration of Mercury, Earth, and Venus), Human Exploration of Outer Solar System (this includes exploration of Jupiter and it's moons, exploration of Saturn and Titan) and Human Exploration of Asteroids (this includes exploration of Ceres, Vesta and asteroids). This is for people that are seeking new things to do in the game, launching from Mars is relatively easy, but landing back on it is a bit trickyer and in a lot of cases requires more then just parachutes. Note that i'm doing this solo and basicaly just for fun, so maybe there's a few things wrong in the mod pack that i didn't noticed yet. Human exploration contracts are now divided in Human Exploration of Inner Solar System, Human Exploration of Outer Solar System and Human Exploration of Asteroids v0.03 Fixed Earth and Mars configs that had their names swaped (this config fix is save game breaking, so, unfortunately with this update, i recommend you to begin a new save game), fixed all Earth contracts because of the Earth and Mars config fix. Fixed "Io Landing Crew" contract not loading, tweaked Jupiter and Saturn crewed contracts. Changed a lot of requirements on some space station contracts, crew exploration contracts, rover and uncrewed landings to try and make the progress more linear towards the outer solar system. Changed the order of all contract groups and added hopper contracts to small moons and asteroids (because wheels don't work well on a moon with weak gravity, just hop on the surface to get to places, just make sure you have enough delta-V to complete the mission). For updates, just replace the Real Solar System files with the new ones, delete the contracts folder in RP-0 and replace with the new one. (you need to delete the old one to avoid duplicate contracts)
  4. Just what it says on the title. I've tried to install KSRSS Reborn and have issues such as a lack of surface textures. I'd like a guide on how to install KSRSS Reborn, as well as any dependencies it may have. All help is welcome, modlist and logs can be provided if needed.
  5. I would like it to be around a gas giant, and to be compatible with 1.12.5. I already know about New Horizons and Alternis, but they aren't compatible :(
  6. What is a potatoroid I had it in KSP 1.4.3 but I have no idea how I unlocked it. Does anyone else have the potatoroid? all of the forms about it are dead, and all the unlock methods dont seem to work. (I have KSP 1.5.1 now)

  11. Hello, i have a logitech attack 3 and i cant seem to set it up. I bind all of the axis and such but when i get in a game, nothing works. When i looked into the bindings i figured out that after i set a binding it just removes it .
  12. Hey KSP nerds! Im getting back for KSP modeling for just a few days, and i was wondering why does my normal map looks very weird? I have no idea what is happening, but i have the most recent version of Part tools, and unity. It looks fine in blender, but then in unity looks weird... Blender: In Unity: Here is the normal map: I'm also getting this weird bug when i click on my part, the select color is not like the normal parts... Do note that i used the "bump specular" material preset in unity I'm also getting this message in Unity, have no idea if its related, but since it includes "material" in the message, thought it might be worth sharing as well.   15. I went onto the official installation tutorial page for Real Solar System and Realism Overhaul and followed all of the steps exactly as it said while using a fully clean install. I then installed most of the mods that were recommended by that same page as well as some minor unrelated mods that had no trouble working with these ones in the past. Then I loaded up the game, waited for it to get everything working, and started a very simple sandbox save which had very little difficulty tweaks. [Here's what works]: The astronaut complex is fully functional and can be entered/exited normally. The flagpole also works perfectly fine I can click on the administration building, R&D building, and mission control building, though they don't do anything because the save is a sandbox save. The runway/launchpad menus can be opened, most of the stock vehicles and some modded ones say that they're incompatible. I can try to launch the ones that are compatible, and I can override the incompatibility warnings and try to launch the ones that aren't, but the launch buttons do nothing. I can enter the in-game settings menu, but it doesn't help much. [Here's what doesn't work]: The vehicle assembly building, spaceplane hangar, and tracking station all appear to do nothing when clicked on, this issue persists even when trying to enter them from their upgrade menus. Although I'm not actually entering them, I can tell that the game knows I'm trying since the lighting around the KSC and some UI elements flicker a little bit whenever I click on either of the 3 buildings. Trying to save through either the button in the menu or the F5 hotkey just does nothing, same goes for loading because according to the game, there are no saves to load. I also can't exit to the main menu if I want to try solving the problem from there, which means I have to restart the game and wait 5 minutes for it to load whenever I want to do so. Is there a way to fix this? I've been trying to get the RSS/RO mods to work for an entire month and any help would be appreciated.

  19. Hey everyone, a few months ago we showed off an alpha version of our mod manager for KSP2 (previously known as 2KAN). We have returned with our newest version, which is a complete rework from the ground up using C#. This new version brings some much needed uplift in both performance and looks, we've also added a few QoL changes, as well as themes support. We are also actively working on integrating KSP 1 support which we will release as an update at a later date. If you'd like to check it out, you can find it on our GitHub page. We are also looking for some people to test our MacOS and Linux versions as we have only done limited testing on these platforms, if you're interested, drop by our community discord channel.   20. so like ive gotten KSP in i believe 2023 (i cant remember, sorry) and ive just now decided to start playing it, yet when i install the game and try to launch it either gives me a blank screen that opens up the epic games launcher OR it just doesnt do anything (it says "reparieren" at the bottom of the like game thing) and ive tried deleting and reinstalling the game a few times now but it just wont work, also its a blank file
  21. I am using StationPartsExpansionRedux, and I realize the Dome Green house can't produce Snacks. I am finding ways to edit the config so it can.
  22. So I've made a DMP server and have played on it for a while, but then played with it offline and not with the server active. Upon starting it up, it reloaded the older version of the save that had last been used when I played multiplayer. In the game's saves there's no separate game save it just changes the persistent.sfs file within the same world. I've tried everything I can think of from deleting the server (in turn deleting the save data in the world but don't worry I kept a copy of everything) to trying to put all of the old data back into a new world file and essentially have a duplicate. Each time I boot the server it rewrites all of my changes back to what it wants and I would love for it to not do that. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

  24. I'm trying to build a medium sized spacecraft in LKO, but I'm stuck on the second module which is the science module. I just want a mobile processing lab, some solar panels, monopropellant, two docking bays and RCS thrusters and I'm having a hard time getting the thing up there. Not to mention I haven't learned how to dock yet, that's a problem for future me. Can anyone help me with designing a rocket. Thanks!
  25. This really only happens for a few minutes during sunrise and sunset, but there's this VERY dark patch away from the Sun. This seems like a simple fix as I had this before but somehow got it to go away... and now it's back. These weird bright bars also appear as the Sun gets a little higher. Definitely something to do with Scatterer. Would appreciate some input on this. Here's a short timeline of screenshots throughout a minute or two during sunrise:
