OH GAWD HOW DO YOU MAKE THOSE BEATUIFUL HEIGHTS AND TEXTURES.

There's some techniques I use. Shoot me a PM sometime.

It's impossible for a planet or a moon to be a cube because of gravity, nothing in space is a cube.

But this is the Kerbal Universe so who cares.

Exactly.

Sponge = Living organism = could care less about gravity's effects on an orbital body's structure????  :D   I like the living sponge idea.. So once I am done with my test run in 1.1 I will be downloading this!

Sponge's aren't cube.

The object has to be large.

Just had to post how much I love this planet pack.  Definitely one of the best, and the Sponge [planet is awesome since I'm a fan of Spongebob Squarepants!

@Amedee could you upload somewhere the kopernicus.logEnsol.body.log and Tel.body.log files you can find in the folder KSP/Logs

that may help pinpoint the issue, and also the output.log which I have no idea where it can be found (on linux)

Only now did I see this, and since I am now on KSP 1.1.2, this planet pack is not yet compatible, so I will try again onec it is compatible with 1.1.2.

I think this should work fine in 1.1.2

But I haven't tried

I'll try it as soon as it appears on CKAN!

What sits in an orbit between Ensol and Tel?

Hypo square moon!

Low-Grav and yellow and pot-marked as hell!

Is this mod still in development or is it dead?

Not at the moment, I do plan on working on it again once I get back. I'm in Germany at the moment.

it's worth mentioning that this mod currently works fine with the latest KSP/Kopernicus so there is no pressing need of updates

it is also worth mentioning that this is one of my favourites packs, and Saru is by a mile my favourite gas giant

Hey all!

So basically, along side Tundra Exploration, I also have some more inspiration and ideas for this mod as well. My PC is having hardware problems at the moment but hopefully I can share some stuff soon. Here's just a short list of the new ideas.

-Saru: Basically the same other than new texture and new location.

-Piva: An oblate moon that is being extremely stretched due to the forces of Saru.

-Mobe: The same idea other than new texture and stuff.

-Ensol: Ice canyons, mountains, cotton candy color, and craters along side new texture.

-Hypo: New texture and details.

-Tel: New texture and more interesting geographic details like rivers, lakes, and mountains. It will resemble Titan a lot more.

-Glod: A distant irregular moon with interesting geographic features.

how much do you plan to change saru?

it's one of my favourite gas giants, so I am curious of what you want to change about it

(it used to be the absolute best -by a huge margin- in my opinion untill @GregroxMun learned how to use PS :D , now chosing the best is a bit more difficult... but saru is still definitely in the discussion)

Saru really is nice, at least in terms of the gradient. And to be honest, a saturn analogue doesn't need a very detailed texture. :) The one you have already is very nice, Tygoo.

  • The gradient differs in shade.
  • The gradient differs in hue.
  • The gradient differs in the band thickness.

Don't worry, it's just a small touch up and then some. Nothing drastic so it'll look close to the same.

I'm gonna be honest, we now have 5 planet packs that add a Saturn analog, and 4 of them are stockalike.

Can't you do something else, like a Tyche analog?

Sorry to be a little rude but we need more planet packs with variety, like Chani and Other Worlds.

Lemme guess, The packs are the following:

Saru

Sentar

Sarvin

Sarnus

And Olu'um (the not stock-alike)

The proper names for these are:

  • Kerbol Origins
  • Outer Planets Mod
  • Gameslinx Planet Overhaul

Yeah, realised that :P

Oh, and you missed the Sentar Expansion and the Saru pack

Beh. Saru and Sentar are both planets in, and the names of their planet packs so I didn't list them. The ones I quoted are not also the names of the packs that contain them so I listed them. Keep calm and orbit higher.

And Olu'um (the not stock-alike)

What

Like

No.

Olu'um is not based off any gas giant. It's a sub-star (or a failed star) which was captured by Kerbol. Saturn was not. Olu'um does not have rings. And Olu'um is purple.

It's not 100% a gas giant, more of a hot Jool.

And sorry to be a little rude, but in the title on Spacedock it clearly says stockalike planet pack
