So...

I deinstalled KSP,downloaded it from GOG and did a fresh, clean Installation. Then i started it and made a new carrer came. Cheated like the hell and maxed out everything, saved and leaved the game.

copy GPP folder to Gamedata

copy Kopernicus (1.2.2-2) and ModularFlightIntegrator and the 2 dll files to GameData

copy DistantObject,PlanetShine,scatterer and TextureReplacer from GPP/Optional Mods/Extra Visual Mods/GameData to GameData

copy EVE and SVE from the High Res folder in Optional Mods/SVE/ to GameData

 

I think this time I did it right. Here the new screen of my GameData folder

Then I started the game, loaded the save and made a simple Probe with the Survey Scanner, hyperedited it in Orbit of Iota and started the Scanner. The Scanner performed well but....

no map overlay. The button was here but "no resource of this type". Went back to Tracking Station and back to the Probe. No more button - same problem like before.

I am sure it must be my error but ... I don`t know

I don't think he is, but he is using sigma, which the scatterer sun flare doesn't respond to, so the texture gets swallowed up by the stock flare. I would actually recommend the alternate cfg if using sigma so that you get some kind of sun flare.

You're missing the Community Resource Pack (CRP). GPP has configs for the distributions of many resources but CRP is the library for them. Without it, the distributions are of nothing, therefore there are errors. I will add tis to the documentation(s).

Correct. Guess I'll try the alternate when I get home. No way to swell the sun flare texture to compensate?

Perhaps that should be added to the Readme.  In fact, I don't see anything in the Readme about the alternate Ciro.cfg.  I remember there use to be a note about it, but it apparently got deleted.  Probably should add an installation note saying that if either scatterer is not used, or Sigma Dimensions is used, the alternate Ciro.cfg should be installed.

I knew you could scale it in scatterer but it's quite a lot to do for those that don't understand how changing configs work. I always assume anyone that downloads this mod is a monkey and I have to make it super simple for them to understand. That typically means doing it for them. Maybe @Sigma88 could look at adding a custom setting within sigma dimensions? So those lacking the know how don't have to worry about it?

It should be as simple as including this per sigma config:

(But this assumes everyone with scaled GPP has Scatterer. Maybe the NEEDS tag will work and prevent NRE if Scatterer is absent)

@eddiew Don't apply my settings. Those are my settings for stock scale. You might want to divide whatever third value number you have by 3.

I have flareSettings = 0.7, 1, 0.6

You should put, maybe 0.7, 1, 0.2 ...maybe lower

@CatastrophicFailure The same link (my sig) that I gave you... There are 8 EVE Online skyboxes to pick from now. In my screenshot is currently the last of them, Minmatar #1.

My editor is indeed Notepad++

nope because Gael has 0 inclination. Its part of the added challenge with GPP

If you use the included KSCSwitcher, you can move the base around - one of the locations is at the equator :)
