mikegarrison
Scott is struggling to think of a scenario where they would have to blow the spacecraft hatch, but apparently he's not thinking of the Apollo 1 fire.

sevenperforce
Did anyone else catch them signing the inside of the Crew Access Arm?
mikegarrison
Scott talking about "the semblance of control". Giving the pilots switches to flip so they feel like they have some input into things. This reminds me of the (in)famous temperature control switch on the 707 "Air Force 1" planes. The story is that LBJ kept calling up to the pilots telling them to either turn up or turn down the cabin temperature. So they installed a fake switch on his desk that supposedly controlled the cabin temperature, but actually did nothing. It worked, because LBJ stopping calling the pilots and asking them to change the temperature.
EchoLima
Anyone know if there's a website/stream that will show telemetry? I'm looking to put something on a second screen. Also is there a way to hear CAPCOM? Edited May 27, 2020 by EchoLima

Without a pure-oxygen atmosphere I don't think there's anything in there that's particularly flammable.

Shpaget
I'm the first to admit that I don't like filling, sanding and painting, but that sure looks like second grade job around the hatch.

Did not look like an turret more like searchlights or speakers. And it was an van, if you wanted something armed you used an hummer or an stryker. They acualy have APC at KSC, they are used if you need to get close to something who might blow up. In an APC you are safe as long as the hatch is closed.
