What type of government is your invitable Empire in KSP 2 going to be?

Recommended Posts

Well, to start the entirety of Kerbin will be governed by the United Kerbin Government, UKG for short, a sort of a Federation from Star Trek on Kerbin only. It is democratic and with something of a semi-but-not-too-much-capitalist economy (a lot like the Nordic countries here on Earth) with spaceship parts for the Kerbal Space Program supplied by a multitude of several different commercial companies.

Don't know about space empires tho :P

Spoiler

Speaking of the Space Program, it in turn is led by (rather fantasy-esque sounding) The Council of Six. Every time an important decision is made The Council is assembled in a meeting. Its six members are each leader of their corresponding Department of the Kerbal Space Program with The Council consisting of:

  • Chief Engineer und Raketenführer Wernher von Kerman, a mustache man equipped with glasses who is pretty much a dictator of the Spaceship & Rocket Engineering (SRE). He designs all the rockets and spaceships and speaks with einen fery thick Keutsche accent and he also has an obsession with what he calls

                      "MOAR BOOSCHTERS"!!!

  • Leading Mission Control Controller Gene Kerman, a helpful, friendly gentleman who likes problem-solving when kerbal lives are not at risk. He likes coffee, he is always present at mission control when a mission is being controlled, and it was his idea to start the Space Program in the first place. Gene obviously leads the Mission Control (MC).
  • Public Relations-related boss Walt Kerman is a cheerful fellow who always somehow manages to steer the Space Program out of harms' way when a mission spectacularly and catastrofically RUDs, being leader of Public Relations Department, PR. For some reason he uses a hazmat suit as his uniform, although it is understandable as the enviroment he works in is kinda toxic.
  • Boss of Finances Mortimer Kerman. He is the guy they don't really like but they really need. Head of FD, Finance Decisions, Mortimer sometimes has to make the nasty decision of, say, cancelling a mission because funds are running dry- unless der Raketenführer vetos him. Which he almost always does.
  • Gus Kerman is Head of Logistics and KSC Maintenance. As his bestowed title says Gus is in charge of the Space Program's Logistics and Building Maintaining or SPLBM. He is also the reason why their spacecraft have windows.
  • Science Decisionmaker Linus Kerman is the fatherfigure of all Space Program scientific activities. Obviously he leads the Space Program's Scientific Space Exploration Front, SPSSEF for short.
