Are we betting that the patch will be rescheduled?

T2 via PD isn't going to permit another missed Xmas buying cycle with this title.  It will ship on the 19th, hell or high water.

This game is already in the financial crapper.  No matter how well recognized the IP is, senior mgt. is only going to extend so much rope.

Do you have any actual, non-conjectural financial data or inside information originating from a credible source (or any source other than yourself) supporting this?

Senior management aren’t usually idiots. It just looks that way because the idiots are always on the news! :joy:

They know full well that the reason KSP2 is underperforming is quality. They won’t force a deadline because that risks another 0.1.0 debacle. If they wanted to cancel the game, they would just do so rather than intentionally shooting themselves in the foot first.

  • T2 bought the IP for KSP from Squad
  • Game has been under development since 2019
  • Publisher forced the game to hit the market in February 2023, "ready or not" (guess which of those 2). Is it conjecture to interpret this as "we're out of patience?"
  • Steam Charts suggest that around 90% of the players dropped the game. It's not unreasonable to assume many demanded a refund

It doesn't take rocket science (and even if it does, we're not above that) to see that T2 poured millions and millions of dollars in the game so far, with sales not being particularly stellar. A lot is riding on this release, so one would expect it's not going to be messed up. It was probably ready for publication on last week, all they do today is "push the button." There's no way there will be a last minute delay.

Agreed on the last two points, but the rest is conjecture unsupported by even conjectural numbers…
