GDJ
Perfecting and tweaking my Jet Aircraft designing. This one flies unbelievably stable, yet you can whip it around with ease.54 part count on this model. The updated one I've been tweaking comes in at 57. LameLefty
Did some low-Kerbin orbit performance testing for a new small lander of my own design, mostly - checking out the flying characteristics, RCS response and fuel usage in typical proximity operations, torque wheel response, etc. Then just for giggles, I let the thing re-enter and do a landing at KSC even though it's meant for places like Duna, the Mun and Minmus. My penchant for overdesign worked out well. I also played around with some of the sample KW Rocketry designs; I already use some of the engine and tank parts so I thought I'd give the designs a try, with a few modifications like custom action groups and a some rearranged or substituted parts. In short, I like them a great deal.
JazzXP
Rescue mission continuing (from my early days before mastered landing). Finished rescuing everyone from The Mun with an epic rendezvous for the last one. Next up, Minimus, then on to Duna!
Vanamonde
From now on, we live in a world where men have walked on Eeloo.
capi3101
@Vanamonde: ...or at least, little green guys.Last night I did the transfer and correction burns for the Storax missions. Owing to different ejection angles and a three day departure difference, Storax Sedan arrived at Duna a full 30 days before Storax Anacostia (which is still en route). Since Sedan is the landing site scouting mission, I had absolutely no problems with this.Went ahead and landed the Sedan mission. Despite all the structural failures with the payload coming off on chute deployment on Kerbin, the design worked exceptionally well on Duna. The final landing would've been 100% successful had I not landed on a slope...tilted the skycrane over and broke off the engines. Probably a good thing that one was supposed to be a one-way trip. So now I can add Duna to the list of worlds where I've deployed 'Hounds. My two 'Hounds, Malaise and Lack of Prospects, are currently searching for the anomaly indicated on the southern polar cap. I didn't have much additional time after the landings last night, but so far the two rovers have travelled about ten kilometers from the Storax Sedan landing site. Both have already popped a tire (front tire on opposite sides) and Lack of Prospects hit a bump hard enough to trash one of the sci-beacons she's hauling, and I've lost a few too many Negative Gravioli sensors, but otherwise things are going well and I anticipate arriving at the site soon (Lack of Prospects is currently at about 49Sx169W). By soon, of course, I mean "soon enough to mark a bullseye for Storax Anacostia", which is still thirty days off... BJ Quest
Successful landing and departure from Eve. BJQ I was trying out the add-on with Deuterium Fuel. Overpowered and too much fuel efficiency.I have since removed the add-on from the game data directory. I offer my apologies for any offense. JMap1
I built my first maneuverable plane! Called it the Rabbit Foot because you'll need all the luck you can get trying to land without landing gears! Things get 'splody.
Jenteb07
Just landed a probe near the south pole of Dres, then it was time for an inclination-change burn with my probe on the way to Eeloo. After this event there are still 20 days to go till my next probe arrives at Dres and with a transfer window for Moho approaching, I designed a probe lander to explore Moho, It's already placed in Kerbin orbit awaiting for the right time to burn. WeirdCulture
brought my Kerbal back from Minmus (2 Stage Spacecraft, 1 Orbiter, 1 Lander, like Appollo just much smaller (1 Kerbal Lander and Capsule only)).. forgot to attach monoprop tanks to lander, so the docking maneuver was a little bit tricky and I had to EVA and to fly to the Orbiter without the landing module, only with the rocketbackpack on Jebs.. this was my last hope, but it worked
Jestem
Finally landed on the Mun and also on Minmus. Strange that it has been harder work for me to land on either of those two moons, when you consider I was able to land on Duna with no problems, and indeed landed on Duna during a mission where I was trying to land on the Mun. Demobot
I put a rover on Duna! Ambassador I, taking science to exciting new places! Drogue chutes and parachutes were far more effective than I thought; they were enough to slow my descent to around 7 m/s. I still got to use the skycrane's rockets a bit, but I was hoping for a more dramatic landing maneuver. In true KSP fashion, within minutes of this shot being taken, the rover lost 5 of its wheels in a catastrophic collision with a level surface that it was traveling parallel to. Ambassador II is being developed, with a wider wheel-base, larger wheels and fewer explosions.
Rainbow-Dashie
I sent up what is planned to be my first interplanetary vessel. It's a simple craft, and isn't built for landings, due to limitations caused by my skill level and failure to get anything large into orbit. It has a 6 kerbal crew, and room for one reusable lander ( not attached yet). The ship has a Kethane tank, and refinery on board, so in theory it will be able to refuel its self and keep the 2 nuclear engines running for quite awhile. The ship is currently parked in Kerbin orbit, but before I can set off I need to get the reusable lander up to it, and dock with the ship, which is going to be loads of fun... considering I never docked anything before. Once (If) I get the lander attached, I'll set off to the Mun, take on Kethane from a base that isn't built yet, take my first trip to Minimus, and then off to Duna and it's moons! It retrospect... i should have probally planned this better and gotten the kethane mines set up before hand... SRV Ron
Made it to Moho orbit with the Deep Space Probe using a single LV-N in place of the asparagus LV-909. It took all the fuel in the drop tanks to to the three long burns , one to match plane, one for intercept, and a final to orbital capture. The launch shipIn 150k orbit around MohoNote, all stock parts on the design. cesarcurado
Built something that I call "Interplanetary Satellite Launch System" or ISLS, which I gracefully nickname "Strutted Monster" It has about 11.000 DeltaV, or so says Engineer Redux...It can't go very far (or at least I don't think so) but can go to Duna and some other nearby planets. The difficulty is that it has to do gravity turn slowly and in control so the whole thing doesn't comes apart. The stage before the nuclear stage is always the one who is breaking and I just keep pressing space instead of putting throttle to max, causing the ascent stage without boosters to come out with about half it's fuel when its almost getting in orbit. Fix? Moar struts lol
SkyRender
Things have calmed down considerably back on the "home front" of low-Kerbin orbit and the Mun. All preparations are complete and all fueling considerations are taken care of for the time being. The 24 Kerbals currently spread across the two stations and one base can take it easy for a while. Meanwhile, the automatic Kethane mining system has been a complete success. The mining unit can extract Kethane at an alarming pace, while the small wheeled probe attached to it is designated the task of driving up to the fuel tanker and docking with it; then all three are docked together as a single craft and the fuel transfer can begin. A full two trips have been run already, and the system works flawlessly.Minmus is where all the action has been lately, as preparations for the comprehensive Duna expedition are underway. The proving of the auto-mining system means that the plans to use Ike as an un-Kerballed fuel base will work out beautifully.

KC5SDY
Thanks to my mobile Kethane miners, I have successfully filled up my stations orbiting Kerbin and Mun. Kudos to you.Meanwhile:I've landed the central habitat module for what I'm hoping is going to be a permanent base on the Mun. It's almost dead center between a small formation of five craters with some interesting features nearby, so I'm planning on sending a long-term rover out there and get some scouting done. Guest
Started setting up my five-year Grand Tour. The first tanker, KSS Cherry Blossom, arrived at Eve today and set up a 200km parking orbit. It'll be another five years and roughly 40 days before a Kerbal sees this automated ship. KSS Iris leaves nine days later for Jool.
