I've developed a habit to call the biggest SRB available "Big Bertha". It used to be the Bigger SRB (can't remember the name now); now it's the KW rocketry's titan boo(oooooooooooooooooooooooooo)ster.

Everything else is "that [huge/big/small] [insert part group name here]". Except for the nuke. It will always be the nuke ;D

More things (mostly in my head) - I call the massless science experiments "sensors" and sometimes think of the "1/8 Rockomax Tank" as the "Swimming Pool" due to its description (Thanks for reminding me Thomas988!)

As it is childish Tuesday, I will say, that this thread title is naughty.

KSP actually got me back to think in LEGO mode - I do not use many of the parts actual names (in my head), more their form and function/properties.

So, whenever I want to refer to a certain part in a forum post, I have to consult the wiki first. :D

RT-10 "Trashcan" or "Short SRB"

LV-N "Nuke"

Kerbodyne SRB "Long SRB"

Modular girder segments "Truss / long truss"

Monopropellent fuel tanks "RCS tanks"

Reaction wheels/stabilizers "small/medium/large SAS wheel" (pronounced "sass")

Got a few others but mostly they're just shortened versions of the part's real name.

It's like Legos. Sure, they probably all have official names but I need a grabber and a turner and one of the flat turners. I know most of the engines by the thrust they produce, for example, so I slap a 215 on there.
