[1.3 - 1.2.2] Collision FX v4.0 (2017-03-09) Now with biome coloured dust!

Top... I'm running a very long rover mission all over the Mun's south pole.  Very, very rugged.  Every time the rover makes contact with the ground it makes a loud clunk noise (awesome) and a kind of burning/rumbling noise (sure, why not).  Problem is - some of the time, maybe half - the rumble noise keeps playing indefinitely.  It clears with a scene change.  Seems like it should timeout after a time, even in the case of true crash and burn situations?

Thanks

I'm using the files listed immediately above, and everything works - EXCEPT the landing gear tire screech noise.  Can others confirm if they get it?  I'm hearing it on KSP streams, but can't get details about their install.

@fourfayeah, I also get this noises even after my plane cleared from the runway. Lightning effects are also there.

In fact, there are some sounds bugs, like SparkSqueal that continues even if you're stopped or have airborne again. This is something with the plugin, nothing that can be solved right now. You can always delete the sounds files from GameData/CollisionFX/Sounds.

Is this stable for 1.2?  Would anyone be interested in a real release, something like a CE edition?

Also, I'm not sure what the install process is.  This post was somewhat confusing.  The Meciafire link seems to have everything there, except for the updated settings.cfg

@Alshain Please let me know if you are going to continue with this, I don't want to step on  your toes

First Install and unzip the complete mod (MediaFire)

Then download and unzip the new  .dll zip.

https://github.com/Alshain01/CollisionFX/releases

Replace the old .dll with the new .dll (Overwriting)

Then do the same thing with settings.cfg (Overwrite)

I don't think It's working on 1.2.2.

Let me know if there is something else you didn't understand...

Unfortunately I've had family issues and things keeping me away.  It needs updating from the Unity 4 particle emitters (working but deprecated in U5) to the Unity 5 Particle System but I am not skilled enough with Unity to do it and it would take quite a bit to figure it out.  If you want to take up the charge, you won't hurt my feelings any.

That is clearer, thanks.

I don't know the Unity stuff, but deal with enough coding to take care of bugs.  So for the update you mentioned, i would need someone else to step up and help.  But the mod itself won't be a problem.

I'll see, rather busy right now with 4 other mods

Thanks for all your efforts in keeping this alive Alshain. I have some more time to work on this now, and hope to have a new release soon.

No problem.  Would you like me to send you a pull request for my version?

EDIT: I went ahead and sent one, you can always reject it if you would rather do it yourself.

I made DustBody configs for most of the OPM bodies and their biomes (except Wal and Nissee, since their biomes are broken atm), could someone who is going out that way test it out for me to make sure it works? File is here, and goes in the OPM master folder.

Collision FX is back up and running for KSP 1.2.2. The new release is available here. This release improves behaviour with wheels, and adds coloured dust for the new stock biomes.

Happy crashing!

The latest release isn't on CF (is it still uploading?).

Also btw in the OP changelog it gives the V4 release date as 2016-03-09.

EDIT: It's there now, guess I was too impatient.
