  1. fun fact: The BDB LEM incorporates features of the LEM Taxi, since I decided there was no point in making separate parts for it. Particularly the rust colored spherical tanks on the back of the descent stage.
  2. How about some non-LEM eye candy? This comes courtesy of reddit user /u/shadixdarkkon, who posted some screenshots of his career rockets. I personally LOVE this kind of aesthetic, homemade design, with well thought out and realistic looking crafts. It's probably one of my favorite things to see, so please feel free to share yours! He also posted a really cool station core that used parts from BDB and a couple other mods: Link to Imgur album Link to Reddit thread
  3. Why would he make an ISRU part..? It doesn't seem at all relevant to his work so far. Obviously that shouldn't stop @Tokamak if he wants to make one (and I see the visual resemblance in that part he showed the other week) but still...
  4. I meant to say stack, sorry. Like, integrated structurally into a rocket with the CSM on top. Were all 3 failures at one of the LEM attach nodes? Were you using any struts - moreover, does adding them prevent the failures? @Shadowmage sorry to hijack your thread.
  5. That's awesome! @Jso said he encountered structural failures when a LEM was integrated into a launch stage. We are looking into it.
  6. its going to happen, it will be easy to combine the meshes on my end. I really want to get the Block III and AARDV pushed through, but I can't justify the time for it right now. Rest assured they're coming. Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes! Keep an eye out, I'd like to get a Github push tonight with some more polish to the LEM and the LES/BPC for the Apollo courtesy of @Kurld
  7. it's like that because the configs were based on Lacks SXT MEM parts. I didn't have time to do math to try and figure out the fuel loads.
  8. I don't believe he has any custom modules. Does he? Source code is only needed for DLL mods I thought.
  9. Just spent an hour cleaning my SO's trunk after the bottles of wine she asked me to buy shattered #21andLovingIt So I probably won't be working with that Ballmer Peak tonight.
  10. no wai. Why me? I'm gonna guess @akron, since he just memeposted on my thread a second ago...
  11. Any chance you can slide some BDB Kerbalism configs my way? none of us devs use it.
  12. One small step for a Kerbal... ... One giant leap for Kerbalkind. More images from the test flight I just ran: http://imgur.com/a/w7kGC The LEM is available now on GitHub! Be aware that this is basically the bare minimum to get it in game - it doesn't have the full functionality yet, nor is it balanced, nor are the textures done. But let me know what you think!
  13. we have a method setup up - batch files that basically have a list of all the files that need to. Be added to a zip file. So we just update them for each update, run then before release, and then have a bunch of zip files to upload. But we were all busy with the last update and now this current one, and no one has had time to do them. Its just busywork, if anyone wants to help
  14. very nice Hraban! I think its my favorite of your little shuttles. How many have you made so far? I lost count at some point.
  15. how optimistic is that estimate? The US shuttle wanted a similar flight rate which it did not come close to achieving.
  16. can you make a mounting rack for a smaller shuttle as the payload? And then be able to carry another, smaller shuttle inside that one? It is shuttle payload technologies after all...
  17. It's not ready to be played with. If you're not planning on helping refine the balance to make it playable, then please refrain from using it.
  18. Just download the master from the GitHub, or download one of the weekly dev builds Jso has started to put out. Report bugs/suggestions here, or, better yet, on the GitHub. We don't have internal playtesters, We upload our work files straight to Github as soon as they're available.
  19. No, but thank you. Its not necessarily time intensive to get them in, its just they'll have to be iterated a bunch to make sure everything works. Once they're all in game (albiet with some missing texturing here and there, etc), I think Jso will start running batteries of playtesters through to test the balance and find bugs. The Saturn will be the easiest part to balance - the dV margins on the CSM and the LEM will be much lower.
  20. partially the fact that the number of part modules on each segment, partially just the colliders are crazy complicated. the parts are more or less single use so they're being combined to reduce part count and ease assembly. A bunch of them will be available separately as well.
